- These images reportedly show Ukrainian forces annihilating a column of Russian tanks.
The footage was reportedly filmed near Krasnohorivka, which is a city located in the Donetsk Oblast region, in eastern Ukraine.
The images show a column of Russian tanks advancing before they are suddenly hit by Ukrainian ordnance. Some of them come to a standstill, while others can be seen taking a base of action and attempting to turn around.
After being repeatedly hit, many of the tanks can be seen no longer moving.
The footage then cuts and shows the Russian tanks with the white letter 'Z' daubed on them. The camera pans upwards and shows damaged Russian tanks, still smoking after being hit by Ukrainian weaponry.
The footage then cuts and shows some of the tanks up close. The tanks can also be seen with the letter 'Z' daubed on them, with one of the military vehicles even having had its caterpillar tracks blown off, stopping it dead.
It is unclear if any of the Russian soldiers managed to flee after their attempted advance on Ukrainian positions was repelled.
Newsflash obtained the images from the K-2 Battle Group, which is part of the Ukrainian Ground Forces' 54th Mechanised Brigade, and they said: "The war continues. The horde does not give up hope to capture new settlements in the Donetsk region."
Russian forces reportedly took control of over 40 villages in eastern Ukraine on Thursday, 21st April, but President Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky has said that this is only temporary and that "they can only delay the inevitable, the time when the invaders will happily territory", with Ukrainian forces mounting numerous successful counteroffensives.
The K-2 Battle Group also said: "And so on the morning of this spring day, they tried to attack the advanced positions of the defenders of Ukraine in Krasnohorivka near Marinka with the help of tanks, demining vehicles and brand new armoured personnel carriers.
"But their intentions were detected in time with the help of air reconnaissance, and the K2 reconnaissance group and another powerful unit of the glorious 54th OMBR [the 54th Mechanised Brigade] entered the battle!
"An accurate missile strike was inflicted on the Horde, as a result of which the enemy's heavy offensive equipment was destroyed!"
They also said "We are working towards victory!" before signing off with the now-famous slogan "Slava Ukraini!", which means "Glory to Ukraine!" in English.

Since the first use of tanks at the Battle of Flers-Courcellette, tank crews have NEVER felt invulnerable inside a tank. Even when it was a secret surprise weapon the inner rivets would break off under machinegun fire and ping around the inside, it was hot, dark and dirty. But the effect on the enemy you can achieve when you use them in close co-operation with infantry, artillery and all the supporting arms is enormous. “Ask not what the tank can do for you, ask what it can do to the enemy”.
One more thing. A de-tracked tank has suffered a mobility-kill, but whoever ends the battle in possession of the battlefield can recover that tank and put the tracks back on it; its hard work but any tank crew can do it.

I'm also very sad for all deaths but I also believe in self defense. I wish for Ukraine 🇺🇦 to fully defend themselves with the least amount of people losing their lives. Dear God, I ask you to watch over people in all places and steer the world towards peace.

My thinking is - Why bother with camoflage and the like if you're going to be painting big white Z's on everything? They would certainly be more stylish if they just went ahead and brought back the whole heraldry thing and just blinged up their tanks.

Isn’t it mental to think that in this day and age the last place you would want to be on a battlefield is inside a tank
its because they don't have infantry with them and they're most likely trained hastily or not trained at all.
The crew peobably survived the artillery but the tank is immobilised
And plus tanks being intended as these these “ultra survivable killing machines” is media fiction. They have never been safe yet sit in a perfect position of being needed on the battlefield

At 01:59 you can clearly see that all three tanks got detracked. I have no idea if that happened during the strikes and if it was the reason for their Russian crews to abandon the tanks (...if they survived at all), but regardless whether damage, panic or detracking was the reason for these tanks to get knocked out of action, it clearly shows the determination of the Ukrainian forces--and the Ukrainian people!

It has to be quite accurate to begin with but nobody gets that accurate without guided shells. Such exist so I'm pretty sure that was used.

There are a lot of good hits, but also enough misses that doubt they are using guided shells.
This choke point seems like an ideal place to have pre-ranged and dialed in ahead of time so you know exactly where to aim to hit specific spots.

The Ukrainian army was being prepared for an attack and crossing the border with the Russian Federation, not Donetsk and Lugansk is the main target, but the Russian Federation. And the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was planned to be brought to a million. How can I explain to you, a million punishers - Катынь, Волынь, Babi yar and 100 Beslan at once. We would have had big problems if Putin had missed it. They don't care their children, what do you think they would do with our children in Russia, even in border towns? It's the power of drone spotters. Changed artillery in war forever! So good. So if there isn't a specific drone already developed.. probably is. Drone can go straight up and forward miles.. find the enemy possibly get perfect longitude and latitude ect and bam.. got the mark.

Those tank weren’t destroyed (one closest the woods was), there track were off from the high explosive rounds , which is excellent, just need to be recovered and the Ukrainian army can use them.

Ukraine now has more tanks than they started with AND more tanks in theatre than the Red Army. Russia complains about Western lethal aid but is the number one supplier of heavy weapons to Ukraine in 2022.

I continue to be amazed at the fact that they keep moving armor forward without infantry support. It’s like they forgot the entire weeks that preceeded this new offentive.

Honest question: how would infantry prevent incoming artillery shells?
@@kolaas2006 I could be wrong here but they could have small spread out infantry fanning forward detecting threats like artillery or anti tank weapons and then relaying their positions back to artillery and long range tanks to counter them. Ultimately tanks are more of a support unit to main infantry units. Modern warfare usually involves the co-ordination between infantry, tanks, artillery and aircraft. On their own they are lacking but together they become more effective as they all play vital unique roles.
It's like the entire Red Army forgot everything they learned during WWII.

They have poor training all of them. It’s like that video from Mariupol where a squad of Ukranians opened fire on Russian infantry and they just fell flat on the ground and stayed there in one massive pile until two Ukranians flanked them and chucked a couple of grenades into the snake pit of Russians. Crazy.
Very precise strikes, what could these weapons systems be? Switchblades, BDs? You can actually see the ordnance in their terminal dive.

As a retired army armor office I can say that the small unit deployment of tanks deployed by Russia is often flawed. They cluster far too close together and don’t use camouflage making them easy targets for something as simple as man portable RPGs. It shows either a lack of training, low morale, fear or a combination of those traits. In battle, soldiers cluster together when they’re afraid. I see the Russians doing that often in these videos. When soldiers are confident, they spread out in proper tactical positions.

I saw an interview with a man purported to be a Russian tank commander who'd been captured by the Ukrainians. He said that he had extremely little training in the Russina military when he was told he would command a tank. He added that of the three men in the tank, not one of them had ever fired a round before entering Ukraine. That seems to be what's going on with the Russians -- poorly trained and commanded. What a waste of human life, but I'm glad the Ukrainians are hold the Russians at bay.
