Thanks for mentioning bo2 ranked play. That was the best setup version I’ve seen to date. My buddies and me spent a whole weekend grinding to hit master and we made it into the top 5
The best part of the MWII/WZ 2 Cycle was hands down the extraction mode DMZ and idek where to begin... Running around the fully open world map trying to complete your missions and never knowing when you might run into another squad. Fighting strategically in long drawn out fights with detailed communication between squad mates. The feeling of clutching up for your squad and making it to the final exfil helo across the map with backpacks full of goodies and only moments to spare before it leaves you behind to die! even being cautious of your squad mates because they might betray you and join an enemy team ... good times i hope they come with a DMZ 2.0

The gore system from WaW is pretty nostalgic for me for some reason 😂 seeing limbs fly across the screen from walking over a bouncing Betty was hilarious
I personally like mw2, it's the game that got me back into gaming in general after being gone since 2012. I still play it because of that and the nostalgia of all the maps, dmz on al mazrah with my friends. Mw2 holds a special place for me.
The point on MW3 2023 is fair enough. While not many of those classic MW2 maps I love personally, agree it's cool to see a full selection back in the modern day, looking the best they can and more variety of modes to play. MW 2019, Warzone is undeniable. Come around Cold War, for me who wasn't big into Warzone, I'm not sure if I can narrow it down to one thing. The campaign was fun, but also had some unique ideas and moments unlike any other CoD like the KGB mission. The multiplayer I had a ton of fun hopping between all the modes there, enjoyed so many maps and guns. The zombies, loved it. Onslaught was bit rough at first, and was PS exclusive for a year. But the mix of round based, Onslaught, and Outbreak was great, plus zombies got content every major update even if it was small additions like the Kazimir grenades. Tranzit, was pretty bad. But agree, such good memories with friends on there. Ghosts is more of a personal one, but me and my brother played a lot of Extinction. It's no zombies, but still very fun and interesting, and we had a lot of fun on all five maps.
I have nostalgia for OG MW3 survival mode, where you played multiplayer maps and waves of enemies spawned in and you had different computers to buy equipment, guns and ammo
Since I born in the same year GTA SA was released, my most nostalgic CoD moment was me watching my older brother playing CoD 4 and BO1 at the Internet cafe in 2011 after we moved to a new home.
i honestly loved the campaign for MW2 (2022) especially Alejandro but it's my 5th favorite cod campaign and I honestly go back and play it all the time
1 thing I can remember is that my brother and I used to play bo2 zombies together for a bit to try and survive as many rounds as we could(it was on town tho so it wasn't on Tranzit), but we both always ended up dying on round 11 but I think we both enjoyed it
One of the most nostalgic moments for me is my very first experience with Call of Duty I played World at War on the Wii since I didnt have a 360 or ps3. Even tho the visuals didnt look that good, I still had an amazing experience with the campaign and mp. Ultimately I got WaW for the 360 and the rest was history for me.
I started in Black Ops 1 and I think just off nostalgia alone it’s my favorite COD. A lot of fun memories, from the campaign, to zombies, and of course multiplayer! I was big on search and destroy and a core memory of mine was that anytime I played Firing Range I would always put a claymore in that little crawl space area in the tunnel. I’m playing this intense game of search on that map and the score was 3-3 and it was a 1v1. The last dude on my team was ass so everyone was worried about losing the game but before I died I set that claymore in the tunnel and the enemy ran by and died so for the final killcam you got the whole lobby screaming into the mic 😂😂
