When you held up the green musselborough I could almost hear Paige say that’s such a Sarah color! You always have such excellent color choices and it makes me feel justified in knitting everything in green

Hi Sarah, you can add wide ribbon to cover the steek which you'll need to sew over the top of it to hide it. Such a beautiful colour and you did a great job on it.

I would look for a woven kind of ribbon vs the cheap craft store kind that can easily rip or look cheap

The Eva cardigan is gorgeous in that colour. To hide that steek in the easiest way, fold it in on itself so the cut edge is concealed and use yarn to sew down loosely using the whipstitch, the way you would hem a trouser. Otherwise, a nice ribbon sewed down in the same way with sewing thread will look pretty. Typically a Norwegian cardigan with steeking will have a folded buttonband that would be longer on the wrong side so you can hide the steek witin it.

Sarah, your podcast was a fresh breath of air, with the sun, the birds in the background, and you so lovely. What a great combo you've made with that marling, I would like to try it as well, I like it better with the darker mohair as you did.

That’s a great idea to modify the cumulus pattern for Henley Sweater 👍 Can’t wait to see how it turns out

Hi Sarah, you've inspired me to make a Musselborough, so thank you for that and for this great podcast. Your zipper sweater looks so so schmick, absolutely professional. I seriously love your Jacarandah tree, it looks so beautiful in the intro!

Absolutely love your Zipper Sweater, the mark is amazing! I can relate to making fewer things but making what you want and higher quality, I’m feeling the same way with knitting and sewing. I’m going slower and taking my time to get a better final product that I love. Your garden is gorgeous ❤

Love the Zipper sweater so much! The KFO combo is so good! Drape is great too. I’m not much of a beanie person but I feel like I need to do a Musselburgh… interesting construction and I like the reversal idea!

You could check out using bias tape to finish the edge. Its such an easy way to encase a raw edge of fabric.

What a great idea, I wish I had thought of that when I steeked. Ribbon had no give, so I didn't use anything.

I'm currently on my 8th Musselborough! Perfect project to always have in the handbag. Great excuse too to buy a beautiful single skein when you come across one.

Hi Sarah, I am not sure if it's completely your style, but that amount of Borstet Alpakka would be great for a Varpu sweater - it's oversized and airy, super quick and is my most favorite thing to throw on. The pattern pictures look a bit underwhelming, but the ravelry projects are very inspiring.
And your zipper sweater looks so good I immediately added it to my queue. I have never before seen how light and airy it could be.

You might want to google sewing a ribbon over a steek, I've seen a youtube video on it and the result looks quite pretty. I imagine it also adds in some structure integrity too :) Loving your garden background btw, I live in Scotland so that amount of sunshine and bird tweets are just so enviable... although it's very conducive to knitting.

Great job on the steek. I recently made the Learn-to-Love Steeks blanket by Purl Soho and they have a nice technique for enclosing the steeked edge you may be able to adopt. It’s a free pattern so that always helps. Good luck and love your videos!

Your zipper sweater is amazing but wow, your musselburgh for your dad is incredible. Oh, and the 2 year old one is so pretty. Your steeked cardigan is also beautiful. I’ve not attempted this but some I’ve watched is sewing double biased tape, close to the same color, down thoist two edges. Looked great.

Your Petite Knit Light Zipper sweater is DREAMY! I’ve wanted to make a sweater for my husband, but he doesn’t really like to wear them, but he does love a 1/4 zip. I think I will have to make two of these in “His,” and “Hers” versions!

Didn't you say there was going to be a short video of you steeking your cardigan? 😇 I was looking forward to it! One of my near-future project will be needing steeking and I'm curious to watch people steek before I do. 🤭
Anyway thanks for sharing all your updates with us and congrats on your (almost) finished garments! 😊 The zipper sweater suits you really well!

You must have recorded proper early to be able to wear your gorgeous zipper sweater at all!
Some mohair I ordered arrived in my LYS yesterday. Just holding it while outside briefly was so sticky and gross.😂 Not the time of year for floof!
That owl of Athena green, oh! Every time you show it. So beautiful.

Your video is probably just what I needed to finally start mussleborough hats! On another note, this isn't something I've tried but want to try doing
If there's a very significant skein difference, why not embroider on or around it? A simple line or curve wherever it leads.

I think Fruity Knitting has a video where she does a whip stitch? over her steek stitches to 'tuck' them away. It may be called something else, the thing she does but regardless, I believe she did it in the same yarn so that its un-noticeable. I want to say she did it on a Marie Wallin sweater and it was a few years ago. Best of luck!

Hi Sarah, your blue zipper sweater does look great on you & also professional, a job well done!
The problem I have had with international yarns is that yarn shops here do not either have enough colour variety or not enough skeins in a colour I would like for a jumper. I totally understand the reason, but I will be in Europe these hols and thats also exciting yarn wise.
I did not catch the name of your first yarn acquisition the beige? you said was really soft and wanted to knit a scarf with it. Can you give the brand name and does the yarn ball?

My baby is one year old with a 99% size head. She fits in the toddler size with lots of width room but she’s in danger of growing out of it lengthwise (I already have to unfold the brim.) so my recommendation is to knit it longer than is recommended in the pattern.
