Crazy seeing a young Matty Marshall & all those vintage cockers definitely the golden age if paintball! Remember when I started playing in 95 at SC village everything was pump 10 round tubes & 12 gram co2 much more fun & tactical then todays faster paced 10 BPS

This video changed my world. I was already playing paintball when this video was released, but it made me want to be a competitor and not just another player. Here I am at 34 years old, still playing tournaments and practices as often as possible, as well as supporting acts in the punk rock/hardcore scene through concerts and merchandise. There isnt anything about that era in my life I would change if I had the opportunity.

Patrick, cannot thank you enough for uploading this film and creating it in the first place. I played a lot of ball in the 90's and fell out around 2002. I can honestly say I wore out a couple VCR's watching your film over and over. Your attention to detail with sticking everything together is what makes this film so iconic in my opinion. A few examples would be the opening black and white scene with Cold's "Ugly". The line in the song says "why must I die for you, it's the ugly truth". So fitting. Then you have Staind's "Just go", Lasoya gets popped in the face as the track talks about "these tortured faces". Cagnoni's infamous snake jump as the song says "without a care, and full ahead". Danny Love sitting with his hands behind his head as the track says "I'm a captain of industry, spoken famously", guy was and still is a legend. You had Mikey Bruno looking over the top of the bunker as the song goes "still breaking old habits" then right into "remembering" as the guy is crawling on a pipe field. Those were old school moves that were slowly starting to fade with the new style of play. I could go on and on, but we'll end there and just say the whole film is perfect. Once again, I can't thank you enough for making it. Oh, and we can't forget about Danny Love telling it how it is, alllllllll the way at the very very end. Nobody I know ever even knew that was in there. Watch to the very very end everyone! Oh and yah, one more thing..... Doo Doo Brown!

Very impressed you got a lot of the nuances in the care that I put into the film. A lot of people don't make those correlations but still I think subliminally they get it they just don't realize it like you did. Very impressed! It was definitely a fun puzzle to make and when all the pieces come together it's a great feeling.

    • @Exitwelve
      @Exitwelve 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Hey thanks! You definitely did a great job putting this puzzle together! You told a really great story and you complimented it with super great editing. When that level of care is put into the editing, it works for everyone like you said, subliminally, sub consciously. It pulls you right in, and before you know it... The end. I've done a few little edits, mostly mountain bike/ski stuff, and I always try to put that same care into them. It definitely is puzzle like, and a great feeling when it all comes together! Hope to see more from you in the future! And... Is Sunday Drivers on your list to upload and share as well?? That's another great film I wore out a couple VCR's with! Ha.

I remember watching the trailer for Push in '99 with a group of friends. After 3 minutes and 12 seconds with AFI's "Fall Children" playing throughout, we all had goosebumps! We pitched in funds to buy the video when it came out, and watched it as a group of friends, players, and brothers!
For the uninitiated, this is THE iconic Paintball documentary! This is the show that set the standard for every Paintball movie after it, and by which every Paintball movie afterwards is judged against.
Thanks for sharing it for all to watch. It really is a piece pf Paintball history!

Thank you Patrick, what you and Bryon did with PUSH was truly incredible. Canonized an era of paintball and our collective feelings about what the sport meant to us. Between the soundtrack perfection and the look into these players lives (whom most of us never got a chance to meet let alone play alongside) it's just something that won't come around again. I hope it does though.I no longer have my VHS copy so I thank you for the time and effort you put into upressing and officially uploading an original, all for free nonetheless.
If you ever have the desire, the trailer for push can only be seen in 144p on the web. I would bet people would love to throw that some serious love for years to come if you gave it the same treatment and preserved that little moment of paintball history.
Keep planting those seeds man, you made a difference in alot of players' lives.

Thank you for uploading this. It is so much more than a paintball video. The music, the players the atmosphere ; they define a generation of paintball players. Paintball got me through some really tough times in my mid teens. It gave me a singular focus that took me away from a lot of the trouble I was on the brink of getting into. This movie brings me back to those times and makes me remember those people. I miss it so much sometimes it physically aches, but I am beyond fortunate to have gotten to experience it first hand.

This is Great!!!!! My first national tournament was world cup 2000, which was also the event this was released. I had to be the youngest kid there as I had just turned 16. This video helped me mold my view on what paintball really was/is. The tape even started wearing out from playing it so much. This film even inspired 2 of my buddy's and i to start Deadbox Media. Hell, I even still have the laminated pass to get into the premier party. Just wanted to reach out and say thank you for uploading this as it changed my direction in life but also changed many others. Thank you for everything you have done for this beautiful sport!!!

Super awesome of you to post this. I had it on VHS. You have no how many thousands of times I watched this growing up. My favorite part is the soundtrack, meshes so well with the video editing. Thanks again for putting this out there. Would love to reminisce some more!

This is the most iconic paintball film of all time. It inspired many players when it came out...and probably still does to this day. This is by far still my favorite paintball doc of all time. Great Job!!!

This is awesome Patrick, huge fan of your work, movies like this, CK/CK2/Heroes for a Day also made me go behind a camera, and that's why I'm always trying to do my best to capture and film Paintball with the same love and passion that I feel when I'm playing it.
Subscribed, liked, shared on my Paintball news page (Portal Paintball Argentina).
    Greetings from Argentina!

This documentary changed my life. I washed it religiously in 2000-2004... All the way up to NXL tryouts. Holy shit, kids have no idea.

I miss these days so much, it was part of my childhood. I was in high school/freshly graduated and I loved playing paintball with friends. It was great that we could shop at Warped Sportz. The folks working there were the coolest people in the world and very polite, other than Norton, he wouldn't stop saying "fucker" even when Rocky said not to. 2E was the man, he milled my shoddy Tippman.
Great documentary! I collect VHS' and especially documentaries so I'll be on the lookout for this one.
