This is what I love about Josh and Carson: you never know what's going to show up in your subscription feed, but you know it's always going to be good.
It's like jazz itself: you never know which next note will be hit, but it's always going to be the right one.

They are both amazing. Carson voice is liquid gold and he plays a mean guitar. Josh is a guitar virtuoso with a very good voice. Together they make any song they perform sound as good or better than the original.

I saw the Jungle Book when it came out in 1967 as a kid. We kids went around singing "Bear Necessities" for weeks. What a great rendition of the song. Really loved Josh's solo and Carson's killer lyrics. Thanks guys!

I used to play and sing that one for/with my daughter when she was little. One day she slipped and sang "forget about your worries and your wife". Needless to say I have sang it that way ever since. Nice job guys!!

When I was 8 yrs old (in 1972), I drove my mother crazy playing this song over and over on our record player!! I love your jazzy arrangement.

i mean, josh is an absolute freakish musical talent, but oh my god carson's voice is just ... touches the divine. what an awesome combo. but yeah the arrangements that josh comes up with are just so insane-- the world is just sleeping on that shit. and josh's voice is super lovely too. but let's not shortchange how incredible carson sounds. I LOVE THIS.

Y'all need to look into making cds of covers such as this. There's a whole huge set of the population of all ages who'd gladly pay for compilations of your interpretations of classics, Swing-era tunes, and the like... just delightful. Keep it up!

@alcogm - I'm not sure whether songs are like published fiction, but if so, there'd be no royalties if we're talking about tunes written long ago. With fiction, a book or story goes to Public Domain 75 years after the author's death. Maybe all intellectual property is this way?
@alcogm Josh already released one such album with Larkin a few years ago.
@@belascialoja4812 I know that with photographs, they don't go into the Public Domain until after 70 years, OR the life of the photographer, whichever is greater. Copyright law in certain areas can be be very confusing.

This brings back fond memories. I had never seen this movie as a kid, but in the 1980s I was a chauffeur, and I got to spend three days driving Phil Harris around Austin. this made my day. my dad died when i was 12, and when i was a toddler, this was our song. we loved the jungle book and would listen to this song religiously. anytime this movie or song is mentioned, i think of him.
