That is how I, also, came to this channel, when it had just the first video. I remember being totally astonished by it. I was also surprised to see 20 or 30 k subs with just one or two videos here. But it made sense, since those were exquisite and the content is still amazingly meaningful and wonderful.

Great video! i became a Minimalist a year ago i live with bad Anxiety & PTSD & Ocd from surviving violent traumas ,i heard the minimalist life helps to bring peace & reminds us to be thankful for what we have that Gods given us ,so i did the Marie Kondo method on my entire house including the garage & got rid of 75-80% of our things donated All to local shelters & people in need it was a wonderful fulfilling experience ,& i now live a more peaceful fulfilling life

I enjoy helping people im a care giver but i was a day care provider. One day i prayed and prayed i felt that i needed a change! As I walked to the door a voice in my head said i will help people! I never understood this until 2 years after God told me this I became a care giver I. Love taking care of elderly people. I love helping all people but this is my job and I enjoy it. That and cooking 😜 so blessed to help people.
I witnessed how you transform from a vibrant-boho type of person to a minimalist one. Since then, you're my inspiration and you're one of the greatest woman I always look up to. I can still remember when you replied to my email and you are so humble! 💕 I'll remain as your silent supporter and can't wait to witness your wedding, soon.

The modern and simple spatial arrangement becomes a beautiful and clean and comfortable space for the family and has a natural concept with the existence of a tree in each room, this really helps us appreciate nature and create a naturally clean air space, thank you for inspiring me
After I became a mother I completely understood how everything is taught. I saw the blank slate of a child. I believe we are born with our own temperaments. However after that we are taught. So what we call our personality in some regards are things that were taught in some way to identify with. So compassion yes....must be taught. Lovely message.

A few notes on the belief about compassion:
after listening to your explanation and finding the ted talk you spoke about, I want to suggest that even if we are not inherently compassionate, to be desensitized is just as much taught. It is not that we are not compassionate, rather that we are taught something else is better, safer, or more applaudable. This is true for all things; we are not naturally uncaring, we simply are taught that to be open-hearted is to be in pain and so we don't do it. That absolutely is societal but I do not believe it is our natural state. That being said, skills absolutely are something we must learn, and you have done that beautifully! I really enjoyed the thought exercises and the lovely artistic inspiration to go along with it :)

I was mad too when I ended up in ENGL 101 and 102 instead of the honor's classes or the higher levels. I wasn't surprised when I tested into the lowest Math classes possible, I barely passed them. I was at the community college. I did take Yoga in 2014ish and I got an A+, actually I would have scored higher if that were possible, I got all the extra credit points. I liked the teacher. If you take it during the summer, you can walk to class. Because I was in DEV math classes, I had to take a how to study DEV class. Best class ever!!!!!!!!!!

Compassion comes naturally to me, I was raised in a home full of love, compassion and self sacrifice. It is easy for me to put others first. I feel the pain of
others and feel the need to do what I can to take it away. We are born to love, it is what comes naturally. Hate and indifference is what needs to be not just learned but pounded into people and that is what happens when people are born into a society that fosters these negative values. There are studies that show that babies who are not given love do not grow and develop as quickly as those that are given love, some even die from lack of love. So you see, love is natural it is a basic need. The heart is much stronger than the mind. When you follow your heart, everything falls into place and all is well.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" -Jeremiah 17:9
Following your heart can get you into big trouble :)

I completely agree with you that we are born to love & have compassion, & both come naturally. We are created in the image of God. God is love. Part of love is compassion.
Compassion ensures survival. Studies show that even rats are driven to empathize with another suffering rat and to go out of their way to help it. Studies with chimpanzees and human infants too young to have learned the rules of politeness, also back up these claims.
The more scientists learn about the way we're made, the more science backs up the Bible.
