In 1980 we went on are annual spring high school marching band trip Washington D.C. On the way back we stopped at Kings Dominion. Guess who was doing a concert there? It was K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Good times and great memories. We were late getting back to the Greyhound buses and the band director had the driver move the buses to the other end of the parking lot out of site. We thought they left us. About ten minutes later the buses rolled up. Thanks Mr. Allen. You scared the shit out of us.
Sadly, when these songs were popular, I was not OLD enough to go into the clubs. But, I still enjoy listening to KC and the Sunshine Band. My Mom bought their Albums, before I even knew who they were!!!!!
They are very unrated performers. Who doesn’t love their music? Very few weddings go w/o a KC song. They make you smile. Should be in the hall of fame. 😃✌🏼
