@broncofan4life05 Yes, extremely difficult time. They used way too strong of a thread locker on the screws in my opinion. I have told Taurus about this. I have a trick to help get them out. I will try to do a video on it.
I have an original GX4 and recently added the T.O.R.O. My pick was also the Holosun 407K, but went with the red dot, simply because that's what I'm accustomed to, though I am tempted to try green. I like the included option of the 13 round magazine, but still prefer the 11 rounder. The PT111 G2 started it all for me. I've since added several semi-autos and an assortment of revolvers. All have performed very well. Taurus has three more revolvers that I want to add when they come available.
Cool! I'm not sure if I like red or green better. I would say both are about equal to me. I love a bunch of these Taurus guns too. I'm actually working on my updated Taurus collection video for 2022.

A someone with an astigmatism, red dots are lost on me. But a nice bright front sight is not, so the non TORO version was great for me. It's going to find its place along with my other micros. Nice job Taurus and great video. Subbed. (Adding the Amerigo front sight)
given falling prices of 9mm versus 38sp ammo, i’m looking for a value-priced 9mm semiauto pistol alternative to a taurus 856 revolver, but must have ten round or less mag and not so harsh recoil. suggestions welcome!
the shield rms-c cut dots are not all equal in there footprint I’m finding out. Several written reviews give a short list of approved dots. There are some,like the crimson trace, that don’t actually fit.
Red or green is a preference. Many say green is easier on the eyes than red, and easier to pickup. But some will say they like red better. I bought a couple sights from Swampfox recently. In green and red. So I will be able to compare 2 dif dot colors with the same model dot. These are the larger RMR footprint size. But same principle.
I would take a good set of nite sites over an optic on any gun that size in any caliber. And it would be nice to see Taurus come out with a compact 10mm pistol either hammer fired or striker fired with a double stack mag, something more ergonomic that a Glock 29 and without a grip safety like the Springfield, but with a manual safety as the Taurus G3c has.
I'm curious why the optic isn't of interest? I'm also a bit baffled with the current love affair with compact and subcompact 10mm's? Most people detest 40 because of snappy recoil. A 10mm in a gun that small would be no different. Even with watered down 10mm that is nothing more than 40 S&W. But my last question is what is this current love affair with a manual safety? Is there a distrust of the gun? Or your own handling skills? Would seem to me that wanting a better trigger would be more desirable than a safety. And a manual safety only complicates a modern strikerfire trigger. More parts to a trigger system always yeilds a lousier trigger versus one that doesn't have one at all.
These take Glock sites, so upgrading will be very easy. that is cool that Taurus is using this type sites. I like the non TORO GX4 too/ I just did a video on a Reg GX$ Bronze last week.

You have your opinions on these things. they have theirs. Many people like dif things and dif types of guns. You don't like optics on these guns, they don't like a manual safety on these type guns. A disagreement on things...yes. Troll? I don't see any of that going on here. I get lots of trolls, I can spot one a mile away. Tel aviv? And it has been this way on the internet and TH-cam since it started. I mean how new to all of this are you? I'm sorry if my questions ruffled your feathers. But what's wrong with having a simple conversation? You made the pronouncement that you prefer night sights? I simply asked why the optic doesn't interest you? Nothing harmful in that unless there is some component of ego I'm unaware of? In fact I thought it might be interesting to to hear why you lean toward certain features the way you do. From the few conversations I've had with manual safety advocates. They break down mostly into two categories. A distrust of the gun or their ability to manipulate the firearm. Or its a hold over from something they learned on like a 1911.
Requiring a take-down tool just seems to be such a misstep. It seems bush league when the other players in the space have very ably facilitated a tool-free takedown. I live in the Communist People's Republic of Washington State, which prohibits mags above 10 rounds in pistols. So, this pistol isn't much of an option for me because of the short grip.

I too like the GX4 but having big mitts using the 13 round mag helps. My question then comes in as yours, "should we have gotten a G3X"? or from listing to reviews "Can we get the GX4 trigger on the G3X"?
I still don't understand why they wouldn't put an accessory rail on the front to run a light... this puts them unnecessarily behind Sig and Springfield - I'll stick with my P365 until Taurus fixes this.
I don't know why they don't. I don't need a rail personally on this pistol, but a lot of people do want one. I don't want anything on the front of a gun this small. I like how small it is, therefore very easy to conceal. But I wish they had a rail. Even if some don't use it, it should be there. Whether it puts them behind the other 2. I'm not sure about that, but maybe? SA made an anti gun deal in IL a few years ago. Many people won't forgive them for that. Sig had some issues initially (which I think have been worked out), and both are more expensive than the Gx4. Plus in my opinion the trigger is better on the GX4 than the other 2. But I do plan to compare all 3 once I can find a p365 to borrow.
Same as the Shield plus but, I still bought this gun. If I go out at night, I will carry my 43X with a streamlight! It really doesn’t make sense though to not have a rail!

I purchased the Gx4 toro, I picked it up at my gun dealer, I took a red dot to mount it at the dealer, the 2 screws holding the optic plate were so tight from the factory that one screw was damaged removing it and the other screw stripped!! Now I have a factory new gx4 with a stripped out screw stuck in the slide! Piece of junk!
Great initial review! I suggested this gun to my friend. I already have something else, but wouldn't have minded buying this affordable and reliable gun. The only issue I've seen is the sights falling off or moving on these after many rounds with the testers. No biggie. Just get yourself some nice night sights made for glock. Would the ones made for the G43 work? Thanks! I have a Taurus TX22 which is like a bigger gun than this one. That gun is reliable and it has a great trigger for a 22LR 👍
Thank you 👍. I have talked about the front sight issues on Locals. A drop of blue loctite, or even better. vibra-tite vc3 on the screw will prevent that. I'm not sure with the G43. It may have dif size sights. I'm not a Glock expert. The TX22 has a great trigger. I agree!

You need a new pin, probably d-ring, extractor spring and that little rubber bumper that goes inside the spring., if this doesn't make sense, you need to take it to a gunsmith, my guess is the extractor pin is falling out,only way to blow out an extractor....
@@isawit9722 the pen and d-rings are good the instructor broke after shooting this is my third extractor from the company so I figured I need to find one that's an aftermarket that's enhanced but I don't know where to find a strong extractor I was looking at replacing with the 6.5 Grendel extractor but not too sure if it would work
I am not an AR expert, but I recommend the BCM reliability kit, and I discussed in a previous video. I will ask my moderator/ friend Matteo to try to help. Thanks James for helping out as well.
@@drw505 No, a 6.5 Grendel extractor will not work. They utilize a different bolt than the 7.62x39 bolt. The 6.5 Grendel has a .136" bolt face, whereas the 7.62x39 bolt uses a .125" bolt. This means that the extractor for the Grendel is different due to the deeper bolt face. Aside from that issue I agree with 2a Edu. Sounds like there might be a tolerance issue with your bolt which is why the pin may be drifting. Which is not surprising when it comes to BCA _(*Bear Creek Arsenal*)_ If I were you I would replace the entire bolt from a more *reputable* dealer/manufacturer. Also I would like to note that 7.62x39 AR bolts have fairly short extractor life. _"In the 1K to 1100 round range"_ My recommendation is even if you replace the bolt that you invest in a nice supply of extractors and other relevant parts. Hope that helps. **P.S. Please do not be tempted to replace your 7.62x39 bolt with a 6.5 Grendel either. The deeper bolt face means the round will not chamber properly.

Thanks for the informative review. I’ve got a TORO on order and plan on picking up this next week. Trying to choose an optic. Also interested in Lakeline LLC compensated barrel as another reviewer said it really cuts down on muzzle flip and is reliable. One irritation is Taurus doesn’t include the pinky extension & had to order off their website. I got it quickly but there was no ship notification with tracking number. I’m also researching sight options. Love you’re channel, keep up the good work

Thank you. No I don't think so. the Venom is a larger footprint for larger pistols. It would hang over the slide on the GX4 quite a bit. This takes the smaller footprint RDS.

I have the red on my GX4 and 43X but green on my HK VP9 SK and I gotta tell ya, at least for my 58 year old eyes, the green is so much better!
They should also include a pinky extension to its flush fit magazine. I will be very competitive with the hellcat and the Sig 365.

They make a 10 rd version of the Gx4. I don't think it recoils very much for its size. I like shooting it.
When I shot the gx4, Holy cow, yeah, good trigger, easy to be accurate with, as they say. Honestly, puts my old g43 to shame. Loved shooting the gx4!!

Are saying it doesn't fit, because the optic hangs over the slide? Or are you saying it doesn't fit, meaning the screws don't line up or fasten down?

I’d be stoked to see Taurus do a sub compact and compact version of the gx4 toro too. Seems like a better format than the g2c/g3/g3c.

Thanks for the informative review. I’ve got a TORO on order and plan on picking up this next week. Trying to choose an optic. Also interested in Lakeline LLC compensated barrel as another reviewer said it really cuts down on muzzle flip and is reliable. One irritation is Taurus doesn’t include the pinky extension & had to order off their website. I got it quickly but there was no ship notification with tracking number. I’m also researching sight options. Love you’re channel, keep up the good work

Thank you. No I don't think so. the Venom is a larger footprint for larger pistols. It would hang over the slide on the GX4 quite a bit. This takes the smaller footprint RDS.

You are welcome. No, the Venom is a larger footprint. This takes the Shield RMSc footprint. There are quite a few brands who make optics with this footprint
