I applaud the effort, and I'm sure it at least stops the weed seeds spreading, but the problem is the weed root is still very much there. Weed control in organic crops is a very difficult issue to resolve. There are only partial solutions available - e.g electrical zapping or mechanical pulling

Thanks for your comment! You are right, weeding is a long term strategy. But according to independent test results made by SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) and Norwegian Extension Service , the thistle’s seed dispersal is eliminated and the plant and root volume is reduced already after two years. This is the result on thistle according to results from SLU Ekoforsk:
87-100 % reduction of flower buds production (seed dispersal)
68-89 % reduction of above-ground dry matter (plant)
66-79% reduction of underground dry weight (root)

What we can see here is a log-term solution. For a first stages of weeds you should use other implements, such as striegl or spring harrow. My question is, what would be the price of CombCut, 6 m working range in EU? If you like, you can send me in e-mail, [e-mail]
