    I've worked out on traditional heavy bags th-cam.com/users/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.

    I agree with you. Bob is better for technical aspects like landing the head kick etc. And the wavemaster is better for cardio.

      Plus you can put arms on him to make it more challenging. Both are great though🥊✌🏻

    Hey Alex. I'm overweight (almost 300 lbs) and I looooove taekwondo. However I find it difficult to kick and balance. I tend to focus on technique more than just kicking. What would you recommend I do? I just find it hard to kick.

    • @novanightmare6289
      @novanightmare6289 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Going to tell you, because have had the same experience. The weight is affecting your flexibility and balance. Don't know your specifics, but I assure you that losing some of it will help you a bunch. It will also help over the long term on joints and other pain you may end up experiencing.

    • @AlexWongTKD
      @AlexWongTKD  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although I can't speak from personal experience, I can offer some advice.
      1 thing is adding in some yoga, it will help with mobility and balance. Some other things I suggest, doing some basic footwork drills, like bouncing and sliding in a fighting stance forward and back. Having a good base with your fighting stance and good body posture is a start and will eventually help with your kicking. I think if you stay consistent with these things it could help, sometimes you have to start with your base, which is mobility, your fighting stance, and body posture before, during, and after you kick. I hope this helps some!

    How is your Bob XL holding up? I saw another video where their head started to rip as well as most of the filling moving to the body so the head just compressed like a hollow baby doll head. Also saw some Amazon reviews where the rubber around the screw holes ripped. I don’t think these are typical issues. Like on the first one he mentioned using nunchucks, bo staff, and sais on the head. On the screw whole rippings most said it was hard to add Bob to the base and I wonder if they ripped the inside behind the screws and should have used dish soap like in the century video. Bob is pretty pricey and this will be for my garage practice dojo. Just wanted to ask. I just started my karate lessons this week and with the no touch rules because of covid I was getting Bob as a partner and help with accuracy. If you had issues too I might wait for the next Bob XL revision.
