@@ram_frog I really only watched it for BATB and if something caught my eye these days. Back in the day, I regularly watched it. Every single night I’d be looking to see what was up.
$100k means the landlord wanted them out. Check warehouse prices in LA (even in dtown) and they are nowhere near $100K/mo. It sounds like they never wanted to commit to a lease longer than a year. It's bad business practice to do this because most landlords will raise the rent by a small percentage each year. I hope they can get another spot and build something even better.
Seriously. What was he thinking? Its not like it randomly happened, rent has been rising to crazy amounts in CA for YEARS. All that rent money wasted down the drain when it could have gone to them actually owning the building or a longer contract.
Buildings of similar size don't cost $100k a month in mortgage and utilities combined. That space should've been bought a long time ago. And if funds ever dipped they could just charge the public a little fee to come skate. Only good thing is if/when they rebuild we will get a redesigned park. The only thing that really changed were the brandings. And the park had been murdered so many times, multiple different ways, it was about time for a new setup.
