What a wonderful doctor!!! 😃 Thank you so much!!! Thank you so much for educating the public. I had no clue like TSH was. You both help patients understand their lab so they can talk to their doctors intelligently. So grateful!

I’m graduating nursing school next month and finding you and the other integrative /functional medicine doctors online really gave me a new hope. I’m not happy with the traditional medicine approach and THIS is what I consider to be the real medicine. I finally know what kind of practice I want to work with ❤

Thank you for your info on Hashimotos, hypothyroidism and iron deficiency . Now, I take 60 mg Armour, and 3hrs later eat breakfast and take 1 8mg Iron Supplement and wait 2-3hrs and with food take 1 Nature Made Multivitamin, and at various intervals extra D3, B12, B1, Magnesium , Fish Oil and Vitamin C to meet my body's maximum daily needs. And now, Praise God❤ my brain works and more energy and no more painful inflammation .

I had a very similar situation as this Dr went through. Had all the conventional tests too. Nothing showed anything but normal results. My GE told me to go see a psychiatrist as my problems were all based on stress. I was SO INSULTED. How could 20 bouts of diarrhea / day be made up in my head? Went to a functional Dr. Menopause began a variety of new food allergies for me causing the issues as well as hormonal imbalance. After about a month of adjusting my diet & starting with estrogen & progesterone, my symptoms went away about 85%. I occasionally now have issues but do believe it’s now PTSD b/c I’m terrified for that to happen to me again

I have been in menopause close to a year now and I just don’t know what to say why I have really good hormones. My functional doctor always speaks as to the healthy numbers of my testosterone and the other hormones. When I had a cycle it was so so very challenging but I don’t think I was taking any supplements at the time and really didn’t have a clue. I have never had a hot flash or anything so I consider myself really lucky. Now, that pesky Leptin number just really wants to stay elevated and my doctor like to see it under five. So that’s my challenge I guess, LOL. I really love Dr. Child’s supplements, I really think they have made a difference and the GLP-1 agonist. But the most important thing I can say is that these doctors want to treat everyone like an individual and that’s to key piece here.
    Great video! Already shared!

That is definitely huge. It's really difficult for a doctor who can only spend 10-15 minutes per patient to really understand that patient which is why functional medicine often works best!

I think drs feel when you come in and say you still feel symptomatic that somehow they have not done their Job. So when I come in I start with all the positives, and how grateful I am that they continue to work with me, that seems to start us off on the right foot. I also come in with information I’ve gotten from you, or some of my own research it shows my dr that I am very invested in my well being I don’t just want to get by! Thank you Dr Childs I am glad to see that more drs are becoming informed it’s been a long time for some changes. I feel we with thyroid disease, Hashimotos, etc are the forgotten people. My dr does hormone therapy but I am afraid of it.

Dr Westin i have to disagree with the Levothyroxine and how doctors prescribe. Mine is a long story but basically in 1985 diagnosed with hypo I was 13. Same Dr visit ended up in hospital for the reason I went to see the doc to begin with. Turns out I needed surgery for slipped epithius 2 pins both hips. Now I was 13 my legs hurt thats all I took out of the thing so threw the years to now I am 51. I have told every doctor I have tried that my thyroid is 100% inactive that in 83 they said it was destroying itself...not 1 doctor in 40 years ever tested anything but TSH level...nobody ever took another look at the thyroid or tested my T3. They have prescribed nothing but levothyroxjne for 40 years and I have been miserable and sick and just lived with it because I believed this is how would always be because in my head the doc new best and that is the fix it med...well this year mind you 2021 I finally went to a functional med doc . She finally listened and heard me tested me and I have Hashimotos hypothyroid. And lactose intolerant and gluten allergies inflammatory in my back thats been a issue for last 10 years. She took me off levothyroxine made me AWARE of my problem and what levothyroxine is made of and what the results possibly are due to ingesting that crap for 40 years. I am on Armour and I finally am getting to feel life the way it should be felt. So my bottom line is Because I have tested so to say not knowingly but have tested prob 20 different docs in 40 years because they would treat me I would not feel better and go to another because they would say my levels were fine. So I have 100% me a a lab rat proof DOCTORS DO NOT ACTUALLY CARE. I felt they thought I was an easy in and out here u go. I have issues with it all.

Hi All and Dr. Child’s, I have seen your videos and I think they are very informative and useful, also when you are dealing with symptoms which you do not know what is s causing them. I hope you can help me.
My head doctor told me recently that all in my blood test came normal except by the leukocytes ( 2.56) and Thrombocytes (135), which are really low…even lower than in March when I got the first blood tests after a while (leukocytes 3.28 / Thrombocytes 123). Now, he wants to wait till October to send me to an Hematologist. Should I wait for the results from October, as the doctor recommends? Or should I get a second opinion? I am worried because I have been feeling really exhausted for months (actually since March has been getting worse) and also my hair is falling a lot, and my eyesight has worsen since then. I do not have any other symptoms but I noticed that I cannot drink coffee anymore, my eyes will get swollen immediately after drinking a cup. What should I ask my doctor to get check (blood test)? TSH came normal 1.28 / free T3 2.74/ free T4 11.0
Thanks a lot for your help! So I know what I can ask the doctor and not remain with the answer: let‘s wait some months more to see if it improve without doing something 🤔

In the past, the pellets were inserted more laterally toward the hip. There was usually more soreness. Now we insert them more medially and have had much better results. So far, I have not had anyone that we had to stop because of scarring. I'm sorry you are having troubles!
