Slow and emotionally dense piece with stifled love and betrayal being the main theme.

Definitely a strong post-romantic influence coupled with Poulenc inferences, and let's not forget the Jazz harmonizations which remind me of Lili Boulanger. Beautiful piece...
Man, you're an incredible composer
Amazing composition, love it!
Seems like Scriabin was a big influence, great job!
Sounds like if Scriabin kept going with his more “tonal” music. Very explorative and expressive.
Beautiful!
Came from Reddit - lovely and atmospheric. Subbed
This is incredibly beautiful! I'm really glad you did decide to share it. Now I know what song I'll be spending the month learning :D
melancholic and beautiful keep up the good work
Glad this got recommended. Awesome piece, looking forward to what you put out in the future.
Early Scriabin called, he wants his prelude op. 11 no. 10 and etude op. 2 no. 1 back.
Nicely done! Earned a subscriber
Dud this is insane!! I love this!
Really beautiful piece. the harmonic choices and the rubato playing really gives it an intimate and melancholic vibration. thanks for sharing!!
edit: also, the beginning really reminded me of skrjabin impromptu op 12 n.2... you already got me there
Excellent composition! What's your sound set-up? Sounds lovely too.
Thanks! Just the monitor headphones plugged directly into pc, very low budget :)
this is incredible, did you record this as well? also what notation software are you using? Sibelius or ?
Thank you! This is a digital performace, I crafted the midi using audio software. I wish I could record stuff with my hands, I just don't have piano at home rn. MuseScore for sheet music, it's free and open source :)
@@nikriedel hey thanks, i never really used musescore tbh, I have the software and ive tried it but im used to Sibelius from when I was younger so ive just bought that now I finally have the money. Been using the free version otherwise. How exactly do you make your digital performances?? I'm just thinking might useful to use for my portfolio work since I just applied to do composition at uni
@@Hobbitbot3000 I use FL Studio and a piano VST (i.e. Pianoteq). I manipulate the tempo and note velocity through automation to make it sound more realistic and alive. There’s a bit of a learning curve and it will take some curiosity and commitment on your part if you don’t have experience with DAW software.
@@nikriedel ah thank you!! Was asking bcs I need to make a portfolio since I’ve applied to uni for composition, that’s rlly helpful thanks
What does the title mean ?
Ten of Swords is the name of this piece and also a card from the classical Tarot deck which represents betrayals and abrupt endings.
