    Thank you for this. Do you have a video on creating a language learning plan? I thought to ask

    • @polyglotdreams
      @polyglotdreams  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not yet! But that is a good idea. Do you mean a plan focusing on just one language or multiple languages?

      @@polyglotdreamsI think both would be interesting.

    Loved this. Became a fan of you since that polyglot interview on street video. I wonder how you got into Japan as a professor. I know that this is a bit personal but just curious. I used to work in Japan till march. Worked there as an engineer as have learnt Japanese at a decent level.
    Thanks

    Thank for this excellent video again! Do you have any videos showing exactly how you go about learning the basics of a language, how much time a day and how many months to be able to start reading bilingual books? About the 1.000 words in sentences: What exactly do you do? Do you write them down in a notebook? Bidirectional translation every day for a week? What exactly? So curios to know this. 😊

    Love your content! :) Could you make a video about how you acquire vocabulary of a language belonging to a new family? Do you use mnemonics? Or do you use mainly these duo-lingual books and read them several times? Thanks!

    • @polyglotdreams
      @polyglotdreams  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great suggestion! I rarely use neumonics but it depends on the language. Dual-language books and other reading materials are the most effective for me in general.

    • @polsotoscano1272
      @polsotoscano1272 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@polyglotdreams Thanks for answering! I also find dual language books more useful and fun. Do you also listen those books? I feel that if you understand them when listening, it is a huge step forward.

    • @polyglotdreams

      @polsotoscano1272 I am translating my memoir into multiple languages and having it professionally narrated. I use my own book (and audiobook) to keep up with Italian and Chinese. You can see the samples I uploaded.

    why do you sound so similar to Canguro English..?? 🤔 i mean the voice and/or manner of speech. your accent is of course different

    • @polyglotdreams
      @polyglotdreams  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I had no idea what you meant so I did a search and I found "Canguro English is a Spanish language teaching company. Canguro English is a one-man company by an English teacher providing fluency lessons in English via TH-cam."

      They sound totally different, to my ear at least. CE has an English accent, whilst PD has a sort of Dutch American accent.
