I've watched a few Lis guides, they've all been helpful to varying degrees. But you're the first one to point out to shoot at choppers when they heading away and to shoot jets coming at you. I feel that was insanely helpful.
I’m glad you found it useful - absolutely works for me. I came to Lis in 3.2 (I mean I had picked her once or twice but nothing serious) and was a bit sad when the buffs got rolled back. @@timelessgamer_UK I had no interest in using her because I assumed I'd be terrible at the missile. Cut forward a few months, I had mostly everyone T1 so I thought why not. It's then I realised, you only get the kills if you take the shot. Same with landmines, you're not gonna get kills if you don't atleast try them. So I'm trying to T1 Lis and Landmines at the same time. Those are the first few vids I've watched on your channel, very good timing to find you. Informative and entertaining vids!
Just a little reminder to any new players: Liz rockets can be shot down with basically anything and can be countered by Irish’s trophy system. Just be wary of those two counters.
Very true - also watch out for vehicles Active Protection System (ATP). If you see a green light poking out the top, don’t shoot until it turns red. Thanks for pointing that out, I should have mentioned.
In BFV I was an avid repairer. It made the tanks neigh invincible. In 2042 I haven't had chances to follow a vehicle yet because they are very mobile but I will hang on.
You'll get the chance, especially if you play Breakthrough. Also you can spawn on your squad mates who'll often be driving something. I've never found it difficult to get multiple babysitting jobs!
Man, this whole video is fantastic! I've been "Maining" Lis since her release and I thought I knew all there was to know about her but here I am gladly proven wrong. All this time I had no idea how to kill jets but your methodology was a real light bulb moment for me. I'm quite impressed with your content, and I hope you continue creating!
Thanks so much for the support - I’m trying my hardest to make useful, “to the point” and hopefully no longer than necessary content for people to relax to & just have a good time. Hearing people are enjoying it is enough for me to keep at it, hopefully one day I’ll have a breakthrough!! I only switched to Lis as a “Main” since 3.2, previously was a Paik player. Paik losing her ability to carry a missile launcher was a sad price we had to pay for a better game, and when Engineers got a repair tool as default - it was time to switch. 3.2 was hilarious, it was so easy to kill anything in the sky. 4.0 was a real crash and I know many others felt the same, even some I lured over to BF from CoD. So… this vid was me learning 4.0 as much as anyone else, and if what I found could help ppl enjoy Lis & get some much needed (and underrated) engineers on the field - awesome!! Thanks again for all the support. Really appreciated.

What a lovely message - thanks a lot for that, made my morning. I try very hard to make this channel positive. We all go out there and do what we do (work, study, parenting, caring - whatever it is) and at the end of the day when all the duties are done, we take some time to enjoy a game. Nobody wants to be screamed at, put down or laughed at. Like you I’ve seen channels where the creators gets clicks through laughing at others, swearing or reacting in ridiculous OTT ways and frankly that’s just not alright with me. Nobody consented to be made fun of either. I also never, ever swear on the channel - trust me I do in real life like anyone else, but my and my friends kids love watching these vids (daddy plays pew pew) so I have a strong motivator to always keep it “safe for work” (unless I want to suffer the wrath of my wife & other family friends). A lot of my friends quit gaming (or at least multiplayer) because of the toxicity. Just trying to show it doesn’t have to be that way, and you don’t have to be a gaming God or pro to have fun. Ive always tried to keep positive and just enjoy the game for what it was. Just been so much negativity surrounding this game,. and early on it felt like players and most gaming channels were just hopping on board the hate train just to be on the train. I like your content because your not doing any complaining , just playing and talking about the game. its refreshing and you show that the game has so much more to offer than whatever people are crying about. Can I tell since I followed your advice for Lis rockets I have took out quite a few choppers I must say that was the greatest advice I got from someone in all of the year's I been playing the game now I really feel like a night bird and stealth chopper hunter , I have been clipping some of my takedowns to send to my friends that I play with

Good guide, I've gotten pretty good at landing the tv rockets already but thought i'd check out a guide to see if there was any tips and tricks i've slept on. Turning off DLSS to get rid of the afterburner blur was a worthwhile advice i found in the comments:) Anyway, thanks for the guide mate

I heard a lot of negativity about Lis, and from some absolute big beast BF TH-camrs who seem to hate her?! 😅 I just wanted to put another voice out there however small that Lis is actually good, and we need Lis players more than ever now there’s fewer launchers on the field. The choppers will have it even easier if people don’t start playing her!

I don’t remember them 😅 When I had BF2 I was working at a drilling site in the middle of nowhere with possibly the worst internet connection known to mankind. Maybe I just missed it with all the lag 😂
I use her as a Mortar too. If youre about 200m from a target on the ground you want to kill, you can shopt straight up and level out with enough time to track and hit a target. People, vehicles, gadgets, anything really.

Keep it up!! I really only came to Lis in a big way in 3.2 because I refused to give up a Launcher. I did use her since Season 1, but I preferred Paik. I think I’ve got something like 300 vehicle kills since 3.2, so T1 isn’t far away! Don’t know if you saw the earlier comment but I consider it my mission every round to shoot down Nightbirds & Stealth Choppers who get more than say 10 kills without dying 🥳
@@timelessgamer_UK Me too! As soon as I see some heli sweat doing like 50-0 it becomes my mission to take down a peg. One of the heli pilots I frequently bump into in EU region just straight up quits the match when I kill him. I can't stand K/D farmers.
Great job ! The only thing that I would like to see is Tanks have supply bundle they can drop for their troops. Support just is never around the vehicles so this would help allot.
Man could you imagine if getting near a tank reloaded all your gear?? That would be insanely good. I try to stick to my vehicles when I can, especially when playing Breakthrough. It’s the difference between winning or not!

I can't even count how many times I've replayed those incredible shots in the video. The explosion details are absolutely mind blowing, and I can't help but fall in love with the stunning visuals. And let's talk about that G-84 Launcher point of view - it's absolutely phenomenal, offering an immersive experience like no other. I returned to the game just a few days ago after taking a long break, and boy, am I hooked again! Your video, the rocket launcher, played a major role in reigniting my passion for the game. (I did not play a single match with lis before) Since then, I've been dominating matches as Lis, thanks to the sheer awesomeness of the rocket launcher. By the way, have they nerfed it by the time? I've noticed that sometimes I manage to hit helicopters, but they don't go down with a single shot, and I have to hit them again.
I’ll reply properly in a moment, so many kind words - but the nerf wasn’t to the damage. All they did from patch 3.2 was slow it down to where the Lissile was with a little bit of a speed boost. If you missed 3.2, the missile is actually better. If you came in at 3.2, the current Lissile must feel like a hard nerf. In terms of downing choppers, it’s a 100% one hit kill against night bird and stealth. It does about 90% damage to attack choppers so you’ll need 2 if you’re alone. Hope that helps!!

Just picked up the game a few days ago and I’ve been having a blast with angel just throwing supplies all over the map, and lis looked super cool but I couldn’t quite settle into a rhythm with her, hopefully this video helps me do that! If not I’m sure I’ll find something else to play, I only really care about it being a supportive role lol
Nice guide, I could never put something like this together because my Liz rockets are apparently rubber darts and don't even make contact to bounce unless I line up the hit perfectly. ~~~~~ The reason people say Lis sucks is because she cannot solo kill tanks with her launcher, she cannot one-shot attack helis the way the M5 can, and she cannot equip other launchers to cover those shortcomings. However, that isn't to say that she cannot solo kill tanks or suddenly wipe out attack helis on her own, she just needs a fitting loadout. Lis can make good use of the AT grenade launcher on the LCMG, AK-24, SFAR-M, or SVK to devastate tanks while waiting for rockets to recover, a square hit to the rear of a tank can do 30+ damage per shot and you can get all 3 shots off faster than the TGM can reload once. If you know helicopters are going to be your main prey, then AP bullets can put in some respectable work too; they only do 0.2~0.5 against heavy armor such as tanks and transport helis, but they hit for a respectable 1.2~2.7 per hit against lighter vehicles like attack helicopters and LATVs, even the 0.2 damage can be useful though as it will stop repair kits and auto-heal to keep the target soft while waiting for rockets to replenish.
Thanks for the detailed insight & adding what I'd missed out re: under-barrel mods & AP bullets. I must admit to having never used either and look forward to trying it out. I understand the point about Lis and Tanks / heavier aircraft. I guess my conclusion is this: yes, an M5 could down an Apache or Hokum in one (it won't take an Mi240 or Condor, not even a Tank or Railgun can do that short of a lucky shot) - but how many M5 hits on choppers do we make? Lis gets it done in a way the others just can't. Also (and I'll make a vid on this once my Lis hits Tier 1, almost there), Lis' power isn't in one-woman wrecking vehicles. She's a Finisher / opportunity creator. She can land shots on retreating vehicles no other Specialist could hope to & stop the Vehicles escaping. All of this on top of what I consider to be her primary & massive role of keeping Nightbirds and Stealth Choppers at bay. I'm going to have a crack with the M5 once Tier 1, let's see if giving it a real try enlightens me! Thanks again for the comment & tips, you've given me something to try (truly).
@@timelessgamer_UK Agree with you 100%. Lis is a great concept and should be the best Engineer, but I'm about as effective with her rockets as I would be with a SUAV. The M5 isn't great. It'll one-shot any aircraft except the transports, but the transports will always take 3 rockets even if you nail the cockpit. (You are a lot more likely to kill the pilot and front gunner though) It doesn't fare well against ground vehicles though, all it can one-shot is the quad bike. Stuff like the LATV will take 2-3 shots to destroy but the M5 will often kill the entire crew in 1 shot. Against heavy armor it ends up only being mildly more effective than the AT grenades when fighting most effectively, but at least reliably hits for 20+ even on bad angles. (AT grenades can hit as low as 9 if you get a bad angle on the front) The M5 does have two firing options though; with dumb-fire you can quickly pop off rockets while ducking in and out of cover or while dancing around the target, making short work of anyone that doesn't have APS, and it can also lock on to any target designated by a Recon specialist to increase hit chance at long range and against moving targets. I personally don't actually touch Engineer much, Angel with AT grenades and AP rounds is more my speed when I need to fight vehicles. (They need to speed up the resupply rate so rockets can actually be worthwhile, imo) I really only end up using Engineer for the repair tool to keep transports alive and EOD bot for the sneaky arm/disarm in Rush. Mines have some use, but you only get 3 as infantry while the Bolte can place 3 batches of 5, so I usually just grab the Bolte if I want to lay traps. (Bolte can also get smart missiles and a TOW launcher, which is a huge plus!) C5 is available to everyone except support, and Assault can use it a lot more easily than Engineer can. If they'd actually fix Liz so her rockets _never_ bounce, or buff the ammo box so it doesn't take a full minute per rocket, then Engineer would actually be enticing.
@@GremlinSciences It's really interesting to hear this point of view, I've struggled so much with the Assault class for C5 kills, especially since they took the EMP grenade away from them. I need to work on Mackey & roping onto the tanks... I had no idea about that Angel build, you should make a vid of it! Would love to see it in action.

I was originally a Faulk main, but recently got her tier 1 and decided to try something different, and I've fallen in love with Lis. (Might simp for her just a little as well. @@timelessgamer_UK Thank you. Ill definitely check it out. Faulk's tier1 is fairly simple to get, plus you get insane XP between healing, rezzing and throwing down the ammo crate. Tbh, if you run ammo crate, you can become insanely strong while running the BSV. You can never run out of ammo. Only downside is, you cannot do anything to vehicles. But to infantry, you become a menace. Plus your teammates will adore you for all the support you provide.
@@timelessgamer_UK Yes. Mostly I'm looking at lead time examples. It encourages me to use boost but yet I can miss hovering, broadside helicopters when they 'wiggle'. I've only been successful with ground and slow moving air vehicles. A jet is still unthinkable. I don't know if it's my poor skill or mouse setting. It's hard to get training time in due to the glitch I mentioned.
Definitely something to aspire to! I can speak intelligently about Lis and Paik (i.e. back it up with quality footage) so maybe I'll see if I can expand my skillset. Perhaps a video showing 3 (keeping it short) and see how that goes? 3 Specialists in 5 minutes?

That’s the thing that though, the 3.2 patch was hilarious (I made a vid on it, couldn’t believe it!!), the nerfing was just a return to normality because Heli pilots cried too many tears 😅😅😅 Still 10% faster though! Keep at it, you’ll nail it in no time
I think the series you made about Lis is the best and the most detail I have seen.I try to learn and copy yuor way to use G-84 chase helicopter tail but always missing .Maybe The key point is to calculate the distance betweem G-84 and helicopter ?
First, thanks for the feedback & support. I’m glad you’re finding the guides useful. I’m playing some other specialists at the moment and it’s really highlighting to me how badly we do need Lis players to take out the helis. I’m not really sure how to answer this question other than to say just keep at it. If you watch the end section of my Season 5 Fun vid, you’ll see a lot more Lissile shots there too. Just keep at it, I think it’s like riding a bike. Once you’ve found your feet, you’ll never have a problem again. Hang in there & don’t overthink it, just shoot when the time is right and the magic will come!
Thanks for this Guide. I would also add, that Tanks destroy your Rocket with thier LMGs. if you fly high upwarts first and drop from the top, its almost impossible for them.

Just picked up the game a few days ago (free on PS4) and I'm enjoying. I've been playing Lis, but her rockets really feel underpowered against tanks. On the bright side, I finally started hitting helicopters thanks to your advice (seriously, I was missing close to 100% of my anti-aircraft shots)
I’m really pleased to hear the advice helped & we’ve got another player in the game downing choppers - scored any Jet hits yet? Yeah she’s weak on tanks compared to other options. Lis is a finisher / contributor - she can’t really down a vehicle on her own. But then, honestly, I don’t think any specialist can. I still think she’s best because you can land hits the M5 or Javelin simply won’t (she can’t be duped by countermeasures and you can hit impossible angles) and you don’t have to choose between anti-vehicle or anti-air. You’re ready for either party. Just FYI, hitting a vehicle in the sides or rear does more damage :)

Yeah the 3.2 to 4.0 Nerf is a tough pill to swallow if you didn’t use her before, but it can be done!! My advice such as it’s worth - rely on planning a lot more than reaction. 3.2 was an amazing time but at least on PC I’m forced to admit it went too far. It was hilariously easy to kill choppers and the Lissile was faster than fighter jets! Funny as hell but really imbalanced. Good luck with it, seriously once you’ve got your eye in you’ll never look back 👌🏻

Everyone starts somewhere, this channel is actually pretty young (3 months old) and I’ve got to fit it in around work & family. Hey - if you know anyone who’d be interested forward it on! I think it’s 450 vehicles isn’t it!? I started Lis fairly recently and I think I’m on 300 now. Most of them choppers 😂 Thanks for the support it’s really appreciated. I’ll report back on the settings but no I don’t have black bars, they’re something that comes along with the recording (Shadowplay). I play on ult everything 4K with 34” widescreen monitor. DSL is off to remove Lissile blur (thanks to the chap who gave me that tip). Graphics card is RTX3090 Strix. I absolutely adore the graphics in this game. Second only to Cyberpunk.
Wrench Medic is good fun, give it a shot. A practiced Lis player is a nightmare for the other team. Even if you miss a few shots whilst you’re learning, it forces Helis and jets to be a little more on guard because they know you’re out there. I don’t think any team regrets having another Lis player on the field. @@timelessgamer_UK Reporting, did I find a new glitch? After a while playing solo/bots, I fire and my screen just shows her boot. The missle still flies but I lose sight, of it.
Is there any chance you pressed the missile cancel button? If you do the missile continues to fly, you just cut back to the game. Did it happen again??

I’ve been trying Lis and I’ve been getting frustrated because I’m the only one on my team that goes for helicopters and vehicles everyone else just tries to avoid them, it just sucks so bad how people do so good with teammates but I always get brain dead ones
You’ve hit the nail on the head for why I made this vid & called it “we need you”. I felt very lonely as one of the only people in my matches actually going after choppers that were wrecking our team. How were people ignoring nightbirds and stealth Helis with +30 kill streaks? Lis because even more important after patch 3.2 because there were way fewer launchers on the field. I got into her to fill the role others didn’t seem to be taking. I genuinely enjoy going after vehicles. In my most recent vid in Season 5 I’m all over them with the RPG and Lis. I think one of the major problems is that engineers are not nearly rewarded enough on the scoreboard for taking out vehicles. You get more points for running up to the downed player & reviving them (2 seconds and hold down left click) than you do for nailing a helicopter. I think if people actually got properly rewarded for downing high value targets, we’d get more people doing it. I’m a solo player too and sometimes it can be lonely. That said, just last night I had one of the best set of matches with a player who was an absolute boss of a team player in the CAV. We smashed it capturing objectives / repairing / blowing up vehicles from the back seat. Showed me what BF could be. If only I had a squad!! Hehe 😜 Thanks for the comment & keep going. We need every Lis on the field we can get.
Why yes I do as a matter of fact - the MAV is one of my favourite vehicles, the problem is it just makes deathly dull videos! Seriously I did a vid on the MAV but pulled it as everyone thumbs downed it!! Poor MAV… I think the MAV is a Beast but the new Brawler is giving it a run for it’s money as the Transport of Choice. I’m better at making vids now, I’ll try to see if I can make a more entertaining vid. Thanks for the support & shout out, really appreciated!

What are your thoughts on when piloting a vehicle, getting out to repair damage only to get car jacked by a passenger, who will run it directly into the middle of a hot contested flag to get blown up., ? Or even worse I run the humvee with sensor and 50cal, I'll take point ,do recon around objectives and someone will spawn in it drive 25 to 50 meters o ly to jump out or get us both killed. Thoughts?
First, thanks for letting me know you’re getting on better with Lis and that the vid was helpful. That’s all it was about - more Lis = better IMO, so keep it up! Now to getting Team Jacked - sadly there’s nothing we can do about this. Last night I landed a stealth chopper to repair it, the moment I got out my “teammate” took the driver’s seat and that was that. Whether they went on to be good or bad isn’t really the point, it’s just bloody rude isn’t it if we’re honest 😅 Occasionally I spawn in the drivers seat when someone who was alone switched to gun, but I always switch seats & give it back. In short it’s poor etiquette to steal someone else’s ride on purpose, even if in your legitimate assessment the other player is atrocious. It’s just a game and the next round isn’t far away. I will say though, most people I play with are polite & don’t steal. You just get the bad eggs from time to time & we just have to swallow it. Hope that answered your question.

Ok wait wait wait - how can you blow it up?? Once a teammate is in it, how can you damage the vehicle?? What sorcery is this 🤣 It’s good to have a chuckle and I really like the chat - better than my usual work coffee breaks where I have to make small talk is much rather talk about gaming 😂 Talking C5, I was crushed to learn (and prove via a recording) that something someone told me was total BS. This isn’t a lis thing but my fav way to shoot down choppers or jets is to get in a wildcat, shoot one missile to bait flares, hop out, use the FXM after flares, hop back in the wildcat, shoot both missiles off. Nearly an instakill on the bigger stronger helos, always a jet or lighter bird IK
I’ll give that a try! Thanks for sharing the idea! On the Asian server there’s one infamous pilot (they’re seriously good). FXM will never get them. Only a Railgun or Lis will catch this person. They’ve got such a good rep it’s insane - definitely the best pilot I’ve ever seen. I’ll try this who knows!! Thanks again for the idea!

Here's another tip to take out tanks and heavy armored ground vehicles: First throw an EMP grenade so they can't shoot you, then put C5 on the vehicle and then quickly shoot a missile on the C5... It will count as missile kills. 👍🏻
Thanks for the tip! That one usually worked against me when I was trying to get AT Mine kills. I'd use a Lissile to detonate them & it wouldn't count as an AT Mine kill (sad noises).
I was having a hard time getting kills with the missile because it's doing so little damage. So I tried this and it actually works 🥳. And your tips on how to shoot air vehicles are really helpfull too, thanks 👍
Ok I've been playing Lis wrong all this time. Thought she was best played as a lone wolf camping with tgm from a distance. Gonna start supporting friendly tanks from now on.
do you use your mouse to aim on pc? I fancy myself a pretty good player on bf2042 but can't hit moving targets with Lis's rocket. I play with low sens and I heard you have to change the vehicle aim sensitivity up, but then I'd have to change that back every time I want to play vehicles or be in a turret?
Hey - I play on keyboard & mouse and I haven’t changed a single control setting from default. All I did was switch off DLSS to get rid of the Lissile blur. I’m not exactly a pro but I’ve certainly never done or felt the need to do what you’re describing - WAY too troublesome! Hope that’s helped!
@@timelessgamer_UK ah I see, I just noticed from your infantry gameplay that you use a much higher sens than I do, so thats probably why you didnt need to change settings. However, your tips on positioning and waiting for the right movement are likely the bigger issue for me than the aiming. the graphics in your vids look great though, you must have a nice rig!

Yeah they didn't have a lot of options did they -- but seriously taking out Tanks & Aircraft is my favourite part of the game. Especially love shooting down Jets, it's just such a buzz moment. Love it, great game. Love Lis, never have too many Lis players on the map!

Tip from T1 Lis Player: Play AT Mines. They are much better than C5, only 2 to kill a tank. Plus you can throw them really good when you jump and then throw. So they are good in close quarters too :)
@@timelessgamer_UK Only problem, in close quarters you have to be carefull not to kill yourself with them. But other than that, they are much better than C5 imo. And you can sometimes just lay them down on a road and get random vehicle kills 😎
Cool video, I think I began to understand the basics of the TV rocket. But every time there's a pilot who knows how to play even a little bit, even if I shoot him in the back, he dodges 100% of the time. Maybe I'm too bad, but it seems that helicopters are so unbalanced in terms of speed of maneuvers that it is easier to avoid them, rather than fight them.
I swear it’s doable just hang in there! Btw I made a part 2 to this if you’re interested, some harder shots! th-cam.com/video/arH_pMVZNYw/w-d-xo.html The helicopters were imbalanced which led to patch 3.2, but I guess it swung too far the other way. I don’t really know how to say this… I’ve met some great pilots, definitely ones that give me a run for my money. But I’ve never met one yet I wasn’t able to catch out. Not at all suggesting every Lissile is a score, far from it - but personally I think it’s in a good place. An experienced Lis can do away with any of the annoying buzzing nightbirds! Btw not sure if you heard but in S5 Dice has announced Wildcats are getting a buff / more will be on the field. Guess it does need further redress!

It’s power is over 9,000 Seriously it’s a must to stop the pilots having too much time to react to the audio cue. Wish we had 3.2 back but such is life.
Using the missle on old gen console sucks because whenever o hit someone with it the missle goes through them. I posted a yt short on it to see what im talking about.
Lis is one of my favorite specialists but I prefer to use the anti-tank mines over c5. Do you have any tips on how to be more effective with mines and their placement?
A lot of people have said this to me, I've never used Landmines before. I just unlocked T1 Mastery for C5, so I'm now going to switch to Landmines and try to learn them. Give me a couple weeks to see if I can get good with them, OK? If I find anything of substance worth sharing, I'll certainly make a vid & share what I find!

Personally I'm kind of bummed out by all the times I've tried to be the white mage but once I jump out to repair I get left in the dust. How do you deal with that sort of stuff?
Honestly I've been pretty lucky that the Gamers I've ended up with knowing when a good thing is happening & working with me. They reverse at first because they don't know if anyone will be there & step up to heal, but once they see it, they hold their ground. Sure it happens, that's why I added the clip of our Hero who drove off without me! if someone does that, there's really nothing you can do... Sometimes WHM needs to be the Salt Mage for people to learn the hard way :3 Don't stand in the Fire!!
I hope you won’t find this answer too frustrating - but the missiles are unresponsive by design. They were dialled up to 100 before patch 3.2 and it made it way too easy to kill aircraft, so they turned it down again. Honestly the way I play is to try and predict the path vs react to it. That’s why I like to either come from behind if it’s a Heli or head on if it’s a jet - they have less time to react. The secret hot sauce is to make your bet where the vehicle is going to go and aim there & hope it pays off. Possibly not the as helpful an answer as you wanted to hear, but that’s all I’ve got! OK so this is absolutely up to you to decide. I personally play on 100% default settings. I don’t have any ‘science’ for what I’m about to say, I’m going purely on my own observations. Jacking up the sensitivity doesn’t hugely affect the Lissile. There’s a maximum turn angle Dice will allow & they’ve been strict on locking it alongside reducing fuel to stop Lissiles “going back around” for another pass. When I miss shots, it’s because I misread the pilot’s movements not because the missile missed by a fraction. For me - it’s about planning the shot & only doing fine adjustments in flight. I hope that helps, even though I don’t have secret hot sauce settings to advise on!
I recently picked up Lis and I wondered how you can turn your rocket so much. is it because my general aim sens is so low that I cant turn my rocket? if yes, is there a relative aim sens for it? (I didnt find it if there is any)

I have decided to C5 are better for anti personal like claymore after playing engineer for a while. AT mines are just trippy & hilarious when being anti personal & AT purpose
@@thz6853 Fair play -- and I've had massive fun with C5 anti-personnel, especially when paired with Paik. I'm going to confess something -- I've never use AT Mines successfully. Usually because the thing I'm trying to kill is coming straight at me & equally wants me dead :3
@@SNAKGEAR Actually all of my settings are default, I didn't change a single sensitivity setting in this game. I'm sorry I don't have some secret to share -- that's the simple truth! If it helps at all, I very rarely use large sweeping hand movements as it's not necessary (the missile reaches its maximum responsiveness very quickly). DICE were clear after patch 3.3 (or was it 3.4) that they toned down the Lissile's ability to turn sharply as they felt it had gone too far. Just makes it all the more important to think about the shot and especially when to hit Afterburner. Hope that helped!
You need to play some control with liz, so much fun when everyone is dashing towards the flags at the start of the match. you can get some free TGMs on the quads/buggys, Most i have had is 4 kills, While riding as a passenger on my way to the flag.. You could probably get more than 4 if your lucky, you need people standing on the quads for that.
I wish I could give it it a go but I’m on the family holiday - I’m missing the event!! Hopefully Dice will bring it back, sounds like people are having a lot of fun with it. Lissile them good on my behalf :)

The biggest issue by far is that it is rare that the team fights as a team, i have so many times put out missile after missile after missile on that one vehicle that has been harassing the team and causing a lot of trouble, only for absolutely nothing to happen because I was the only one doing so.
Solo Lis is lonely and I feel your pain - one of the reasons I made this vid to encourage others along to give it a shot. I have lately been pretty lucky though & managed to down a few Titans. Whilst being alone can be frustrating, still love it when you do finally get one. Thanks for the comment - appreciated!
i just feel all engineers should reload missile ammo, 2 is never enough and sometimes you get no support to replenish. More times than not ill shoot my missiles, didnt get the kill just weakened it so i immediatly redeploy to self re stock and have to re use all my missiles cause the enemy managed to heal itself to full health in the time.......
This is what I was trying to get at in the guide - nobody can kill an armoured vehicle alone with any launcher. But if you put your shots out, you can do it providing someone else does the same. I actually had a whole section on this in the guide but cut it as it was getting too long. All you can do is take your shot and trust someone else out there will take theirs & you do it together. I think Dice are trying to force teamwork & make the vehicles menacing / priority for the team. What really gets me is when I work my backside off killing a vehicle (missiles, grenades, C5) and there’s nothing on the scoreboard to reflect that, but the person who sat as a wingman in a Nightbird gets more points 😅 I mean come on, we’re doing all the work here 😂😂😂
Great video but lis CAN take out heavy armor on her own, it's just hard and you have to take ap rounds for a grenade launcher weapon and hit every shot lol
Ok so when you say pass through, do you mean you get the fuzzy de-tuned TV static but no impact, or it simply passes straight through? Lissiles work on your / their latency & server tick. The bottom line is if you OR the target has a higher degree of lag, it can mean shots miss (or shots that should have missed actually hit). It can be a little frustrating. Console players have a similar issue, if you like I know a really good console Lis player who might be able to help more. Let me know.
There is almost half a second of blackout until my rocket is controllable, unlike any of the vids I've seen where it's near instant. Cant play her like this despite wanting to..
@@timelessgamer_UK Almost anything similar that involves switching the camera to something else, including a split second spike when first using a thermal scope. From what I've managed to research, the thermal scope thing is likely due to some issues with AMD hardware. No idea if it's related though. I don't mind it too much either way since I spam Boris usually, just wanted to play Liz too to counter air better.

Possibly but it would be hard to smash aircraft without the speed boost. I’d be concerned she’d lose too much. If it were me, I would take away her C5 / AT Mines the way the other two engineers can’t have them and a launcher - and reduce her damage against land vehicles. Make her completely anti-air. Give Crawford the anti land vehicle role and utterly re-work Boris to make him anti personnel engineer. Boris needs a complete and total reimagining IMO before Dice worries too much about Lis…
@@timelessgamer_UK Thanks for the insightful response. I believe in a dev update recently they said they want to make her more ground focused/ less air. But irregardless of the direction of the nerf, I'd agree a nerf is needed. Also a shorter max range on the missle may help/ Longer CD.
Yes I really don’t understand what they mean by making her more ground focused, other than my worst fears they’re going to make it harder to hit Nightbirds. I see absolutely no need for this. Just my opinion of course. Also making her land focused just further reduces the distinction between her and Crawford & makes Boris even less relevant. I would agree with her missile cooldown being extended significantly, but not the removal of “regeneration” unless you applied the same to all specialist abilities. All you’ll have then is people redeploying to get them back. I don’t see Lis needs to be singled out that way vs wait an extra say 20 seconds. I also hope NB pilots can recognise it does take a fair bit of skill to hit them. Often the talk is very one way about how skilled the pilots are (which they are no doubt) but not enough credit is given to the player which read their movements, timed it and shot them down. It’s not easy!
Not silly at all - you can speed them up by using the afterburner. On PC it’s Shift key. Can’t slow them down after you launch so make sure you’re lined up!
@@timelessgamer_UK actually like how you use some type of "manual" proportional navigation (knowingly or not) with Lis missiles. The point of proportional navigation is that "things are on a crash course if line of sight between them doesn't change" You're looking for angle where target stops moving on your screen and boom you got it

For sure man, the Afterburner is essential for closing the distance and stopping the pilots getting away too easily. Start using it, your hit rate will increase about a thousand percent. If you didn't know you can also press 'E' or the controller equivalent button to cancel the Lissile if you overshoot (you don't need to watch it crash / run out of fuel). Happy hunting!

I've watched a few Lis guides, they've all been helpful to varying degrees. But you're the first one to point out to shoot at choppers when they heading away and to shoot jets coming at you. I feel that was insanely helpful.
I’m glad you found it useful - absolutely works for me. I came to Lis in 3.2 (I mean I had picked her once or twice but nothing serious) and was a bit sad when the buffs got rolled back. @@timelessgamer_UK I had no interest in using her because I assumed I'd be terrible at the missile. Cut forward a few months, I had mostly everyone T1 so I thought why not. It's then I realised, you only get the kills if you take the shot. Same with landmines, you're not gonna get kills if you don't atleast try them. So I'm trying to T1 Lis and Landmines at the same time. Those are the first few vids I've watched on your channel, very good timing to find you. Informative and entertaining vids!
Just a little reminder to any new players: Liz rockets can be shot down with basically anything and can be countered by Irish’s trophy system. Just be wary of those two counters.
Very true - also watch out for vehicles Active Protection System (ATP). If you see a green light poking out the top, don’t shoot until it turns red.

In BFV I was an avid repairer. It made the tanks neigh invincible. In 2042 I haven't had chances to follow a vehicle yet because they are very mobile but I will hang on.
You'll get the chance, especially if you play Breakthrough. Also you can spawn on your squad mates who'll often be driving something. I've never found it difficult to get multiple babysitting jobs!
If you ever catch up to a vehicle, lie prone on it where you're covered by the turrets of the vehicle.
Jump on top of vehicles you're trying to repair. You'll move with them :)

I only switched to Lis as a “Main” since 3.2, previously was a Paik player. Paik losing her ability to carry a missile launcher was a sad price we had to pay for a better game, and when Engineers got a repair tool as default - it was time to switch. 3.2 was hilarious, it was so easy to kill anything in the sky. 4.0 was a real crash and I know many others felt the same, even some I lured over to BF from CoD. So… this vid was me learning 4.0 as much as anyone else, and if what I found could help ppl enjoy Lis & get some much needed (and underrated) engineers on the field - awesome!!

I try very hard to make this channel positive. We all go out there and do what we do (work, study, parenting, caring - whatever it is) and at the end of the day when all the duties are done, we take some time to enjoy a game. Nobody wants to be screamed at, put down or laughed at. Like you I’ve seen channels where the creators gets clicks through laughing at others, swearing or reacting in ridiculous OTT ways and frankly that’s just not alright with me. Nobody consented to be made fun of either. I also never, ever swear on the channel - trust me I do in real life like anyone else, but my and my friends kids love watching these vids (daddy plays pew pew) so I have a strong motivator to always keep it “safe for work” (unless I want to suffer the wrath of my wife & other family friends).
A lot of my friends quit gaming (or at least multiplayer) because of the toxicity. Just trying to show it doesn’t have to be that way, and you don’t have to be a gaming God or pro to have fun. You can have a brilliant time with 30m at the end of each day, whoever you are. We’re entitled to it too - gaming is for everyone who wants it.

Ive always tried to keep positive and just enjoy the game for what it was. Just been so much negativity surrounding this game,. and early on it felt like players and most gaming channels were just hopping on board the hate train just to be on the train. Can I tell since I followed your advice for Lis rockets I have took out quite a few choppers I must say that was the greatest advice I got from someone in all of the year's I been playing the game now I really feel like a night bird and stealth chopper hunter , I have been clipping some of my takedowns to send to my friends that I play with

Good guide, I've gotten pretty good at landing the tv rockets already but thought i'd check out a guide to see if there was any tips and tricks i've slept on. Turning off DLSS to get rid of the afterburner blur was a worthwhile advice i found in the comments:) Anyway, thanks for the guide mate

I heard a lot of negativity about Lis, and from some absolute big beast BF TH-camrs who seem to hate her?! 😅
I just wanted to put another voice out there however small that Lis is actually good, and we need Lis players more than ever now there’s fewer launchers on the field. The choppers will have it even easier if people don’t start playing her!

When I had BF2 I was working at a drilling site in the middle of nowhere with possibly the worst internet connection known to mankind. Maybe I just missed it with all the lag 😂

I use her as a Mortar too. If youre about 200m from a target on the ground you want to kill, you can shopt straight up and level out with enough time to track and hit a target. People, vehicles, gadgets, anything really.
Yep!! I do that a lot in Part 2 (Tier 1 celebration vid) I was keeping it simple here. Check it out if you’re interested - I think I did some pretty good shots :)

Lis is awesome. She's been my main since S1 came out and I've long since got her to T1. I've killed so many annoying helis, it's awesome.
Keep it up!! I really only came to Lis in a big way in 3.2 because I refused to give up a Launcher. I did use her since Season 1, but I preferred Paik. I think I’ve got something like 300 vehicle kills since 3.2, so T1 isn’t far away!
Don’t know if you saw the earlier comment but I consider it my mission every round to shoot down Nightbirds & Stealth Choppers who get more than say 10 kills without dying 🥳
@@timelessgamer_UK Me too! As soon as I see some heli sweat doing like 50-0 it becomes my mission to take down a peg. One of the heli pilots I frequently bump into in EU region just straight up quits the match when I kill him. I can't stand K/D farmers.

Great job ! The only thing that I would like to see is Tanks have supply bundle they can drop for their troops. Support just is never around the vehicles so this would help allot.
Man could you imagine if getting near a tank reloaded all your gear?? That would be insanely good. I try to stick to my vehicles when I can, especially when playing Breakthrough. It’s the difference between winning or not!

The explosion details are absolutely mind blowing, and I can't help but fall in love with the stunning visuals. And let's talk about that G-84 Launcher point of view - it's absolutely phenomenal, offering an immersive experience like no other.
I returned to the game just a few days ago after taking a long break, and boy, am I hooked again! Your video, the rocket launcher, played a major role in reigniting my passion for the game. (I did not play a single match with lis before) Since then, I've been dominating matches as Lis, thanks to the sheer awesomeness of the rocket launcher. By the way, have they nerfed it by the time? I've noticed that sometimes I manage to hit helicopters, but they don't go down with a single shot, and I have to hit them again.

I’ll reply properly in a moment, so many kind words - but the nerf wasn’t to the damage. All they did from patch 3.2 was slow it down to where the Lissile was with a little bit of a speed boost. If you missed 3.2, the missile is actually better. If you came in at 3.2, the current Lissile must feel like a hard nerf. In terms of downing choppers, it’s a 100% one hit kill against night bird and stealth. It does about 90% damage to attack choppers so you’ll need 2 if you’re alone. Hope that helps!!

Just picked up the game a few days ago and I’ve been having a blast with angel just throwing supplies all over the map, and lis looked super cool but I couldn’t quite settle into a rhythm with her, hopefully this video helps me do that!

The reason people say Lis sucks is because she cannot solo kill tanks with her launcher, she cannot one-shot attack helis the way the M5 can, and she cannot equip other launchers to cover those shortcomings. However, that isn't to say that she cannot solo kill tanks or suddenly wipe out attack helis on her own, she just needs a fitting loadout.
Lis can make good use of the AT grenade launcher on the LCMG, AK-24, SFAR-M, or SVK to devastate tanks while waiting for rockets to recover, a square hit to the rear of a tank can do 30+ damage per shot and you can get all 3 shots off faster than the TGM can reload once.
If you know helicopters are going to be your main prey, then AP bullets can put in some respectable work too; they only do 0.2~0.5 against heavy armor such as tanks and transport helis, but they hit for a respectable 1.2~2.7 per hit against lighter vehicles like attack helicopters and LATVs, even the 0.2 damage can be useful though as it will stop repair kits and auto-heal to keep the target soft while waiting for rockets to replenish.
Thanks for the detailed insight & adding what I'd missed out re: under-barrel mods & AP bullets. I must admit to having never used either and look forward to trying it out.
I understand the point about Lis and Tanks / heavier aircraft. I guess my conclusion is this: yes, an M5 could down an Apache or Hokum in one (it won't take an Mi240 or Condor, not even a Tank or Railgun can do that short of a lucky shot) - but how many M5 hits on choppers do we make? Lis gets it done in a way the others just can't. Also (and I'll make a vid on this once my Lis hits Tier 1, almost there), Lis' power isn't in one-woman wrecking vehicles. She's a Finisher / opportunity creator. She can land shots on retreating vehicles no other Specialist could hope to & stop the Vehicles escaping. All of this on top of what I consider to be her primary & massive role of keeping Nightbirds and Stealth Choppers at bay.
I'm going to have a crack with the M5 once Tier 1, let's see if giving it a real try enlightens me!

@@timelessgamer_UK Agree with you 100%. Lis is a great concept and should be the best Engineer, but I'm about as effective with her rockets as I would be with a SUAV.
The M5 isn't great. It'll one-shot any aircraft except the transports, but the transports will always take 3 rockets even if you nail the cockpit. (You are a lot more likely to kill the pilot and front gunner though) It doesn't fare well against ground vehicles though, all it can one-shot is the quad bike. Stuff like the LATV will take 2-3 shots to destroy but the M5 will often kill the entire crew in 1 shot. Against heavy armor it ends up only being mildly more effective than the AT grenades when fighting most effectively, but at least reliably hits for 20+ even on bad angles. (AT grenades can hit as low as 9 if you get a bad angle on the front) The M5 does have two firing options though; with dumb-fire you can quickly pop off rockets while ducking in and out of cover or while dancing around the target, making short work of anyone that doesn't have APS, and it can also lock on to any target designated by a Recon specialist to increase hit chance at long range and against moving targets.
I personally don't actually touch Engineer much, Angel with AT grenades and AP rounds is more my speed when I need to fight vehicles. (They need to speed up the resupply rate so rockets can actually be worthwhile, imo) I really only end up using Engineer for the repair tool to keep transports alive and EOD bot for the sneaky arm/disarm in Rush.
Mines have some use, but you only get 3 as infantry while the Bolte can place 3 batches of 5, so I usually just grab the Bolte if I want to lay traps. (Bolte can also get smart missiles and a TOW launcher, which is a huge plus!) C5 is available to everyone except support, and Assault can use it a lot more easily than Engineer can. If they'd actually fix Liz so her rockets _never_ bounce, or buff the ammo box so it doesn't take a full minute per rocket, then Engineer would actually be enticing.
@@GremlinSciences It's really interesting to hear this point of view, I've struggled so much with the Assault class for C5 kills, especially since they took the EMP grenade away from them. I need to work on Mackey & roping onto the tanks...

I was originally a Faulk main, but recently got her tier 1 and decided to try something different, and I've fallen in love with Lis. (Might simp for her just a little as well. That red hair is just.....😮) but, she has proven to be such a versatile specialist, IMO.

Faulk's tier1 is fairly simple to get, plus you get insane XP between healing, rezzing and throwing down the ammo crate. Tbh, if you run ammo crate, you can become insanely strong while running the BSV. You can never run out of ammo. Only downside is, you cannot do anything to vehicles. But to infantry, you become a menace. Plus your teammates will adore you for all the support you provide.

@@timelessgamer_UK Yes. Mostly I'm looking at lead time examples. It encourages me to use boost but yet I can miss hovering, broadside helicopters when they 'wiggle'. I've only been successful with ground and slow moving air vehicles. A jet is still unthinkable. I don't know if it's my poor skill or mouse setting. It's hard to get training time in due to the glitch I mentioned.
The only thing I can offer is all my settings are default - didn’t tweak anything. Good luck with it!

I think the series you made about Lis is the best and the most detail I have seen.I try to learn and copy yuor way to use G-84 chase helicopter tail but always missing .Maybe The key point is to calculate the distance betweem G-84 and helicopter ?
First, thanks for the feedback & support. I’m glad you’re finding the guides useful. I’m playing some other specialists at the moment and it’s really highlighting to me how badly we do need Lis players to take out the helis.
I’m not really sure how to answer this question other than to say just keep at it. If you watch the end section of my Season 5 Fun vid, you’ll see a lot more Lissile shots there too. Just keep at it, I think it’s like riding a bike. Once you’ve found your feet, you’ll never have a problem again. Hang in there & don’t overthink it, just shoot when the time is right and the magic will come!

I would also add, that Tanks destroy your Rocket with thier LMGs. if you fly high upwarts first and drop from the top, its almost impossible for them.

Just picked up the game a few days ago (free on PS4) and I'm enjoying. I've been playing Lis, but her rockets really feel underpowered against tanks.
On the bright side, I finally started hitting helicopters thanks to your advice (seriously, I was missing close to 100% of my anti-aircraft shots)

Yeah she’s weak on tanks compared to other options. Lis is a finisher / contributor - she can’t really down a vehicle on her own. But then, honestly, I don’t think any specialist can. I still think she’s best because you can land hits the M5 or Javelin simply won’t (she can’t be duped by countermeasures and you can hit impossible angles) and you don’t have to choose between anti-vehicle or anti-air. You’re ready for either party.
Just FYI, hitting a vehicle in the sides or rear does more damage :)

My advice is you want to be inside the vehicle taking advantage of its armour and weapon station, popping out to join the fight when it’s time. Check out the EMP grenade video I did, you’ll see how I do it.

Yeah the 3.2 to 4.0 Nerf is a tough pill to swallow if you didn’t use her before, but it can be done!! My advice such as it’s worth - rely on planning a lot more than reaction. 3.2 was an amazing time but at least on PC I’m forced to admit it went too far. It was hilariously easy to kill choppers and the Lissile was faster than fighter jets! Funny as hell but really imbalanced.

I’ll report back on the settings but no I don’t have black bars, they’re something that comes along with the recording (Shadowplay). I play on ult everything 4K with 34” widescreen monitor. DSL is off to remove Lissile blur (thanks to the chap who gave me that tip). Graphics card is RTX3090 Strix.
I absolutely adore the graphics in this game. Second only to Cyberpunk.

Wrench Medic is good fun, give it a shot. A practiced Lis player is a nightmare for the other team. Even if you miss a few shots whilst you’re learning, it forces Helis and jets to be a little more on guard because they know you’re out there. I don’t think any team regrets having another Lis player on the field. Let me know how you get on, and check out Part 2 for a few extra Lis ideas:

@@timelessgamer_UK Reporting, did I find a new glitch? After a while playing solo/bots, I fire and my screen just shows her boot. The missle still flies but I lose sight, of it.
Is there any chance you pressed the missile cancel button? If you do the missile continues to fly, you just cut back to the game. Did it happen again??

I’ve been trying Lis and I’ve been getting frustrated because I’m the only one on my team that goes for helicopters and vehicles everyone else just tries to avoid them, it just sucks so bad how people do so good with teammates but I always get brain dead ones
You’ve hit the nail on the head for why I made this vid & called it “we need you”. I felt very lonely as one of the only people in my matches actually going after choppers that were wrecking our team. How were people ignoring nightbirds and stealth Helis with +30 kill streaks? Lis because even more important after patch 3.2 because there were way fewer launchers on the field. I got into her to fill the role others didn’t seem to be taking.
I genuinely enjoy going after vehicles. In my most recent vid in Season 5 I’m all over them with the RPG and Lis. I think one of the major problems is that engineers are not nearly rewarded enough on the scoreboard for taking out vehicles. You get more points for running up to the downed player & reviving them (2 seconds and hold down left click) than you do for nailing a helicopter. I think if people actually got properly rewarded for downing high value targets, we’d get more people doing it.
I’m a solo player too and sometimes it can be lonely. That said, just last night I had one of the best set of matches with a player who was an absolute boss of a team player in the CAV. We smashed it capturing objectives / repairing / blowing up vehicles from the back seat. Showed me what BF could be. If only I had a squad!! Hehe 😜

Why yes I do as a matter of fact - the MAV is one of my favourite vehicles, the problem is it just makes deathly dull videos! Seriously I did a vid on the MAV but pulled it as everyone thumbs downed it!! Poor MAV…
I think the MAV is a Beast but the new Brawler is giving it a run for it’s money as the Transport of Choice. I’m better at making vids now, I’ll try to see if I can make a more entertaining vid.

What are your thoughts on when piloting a vehicle, getting out to repair damage only to get car jacked by a passenger, who will run it directly into the middle of a hot contested flag to get blown up., ? Or even worse I run the humvee with sensor and 50cal, I'll take point ,do recon around objectives and someone will spawn in it drive 25 to 50 meters o ly to jump out or get us both killed. Thoughts?

Now to getting Team Jacked - sadly there’s nothing we can do about this. Last night I landed a stealth chopper to repair it, the moment I got out my “teammate” took the driver’s seat and that was that. Whether they went on to be good or bad isn’t really the point, it’s just bloody rude isn’t it if we’re honest 😅
Occasionally I spawn in the drivers seat when someone who was alone switched to gun, but I always switch seats & give it back. In short it’s poor etiquette to steal someone else’s ride on purpose, even if in your legitimate assessment the other player is atrocious. It’s just a game and the next round isn’t far away.
I will say though, most people I play with are polite & don’t steal. You just get the bad eggs from time to time & we just have to swallow it. Hope that answered your question.

This isn’t a lis thing but my fav way to shoot down choppers or jets is to get in a wildcat, shoot one missile to bait flares, hop out, use the FXM after flares, hop back in the wildcat, shoot both missiles off. Nearly an instakill on the bigger stronger helos, always a jet or lighter bird IK

On the Asian server there’s one infamous pilot (they’re seriously good). FXM will never get them. Only a Railgun or Lis will catch this person. They’ve got such a good rep it’s insane - definitely the best pilot I’ve ever seen. I’ll try this who knows!!

Here's another tip to take out tanks and heavy armored ground vehicles:
First throw an EMP grenade so they can't shoot you, then put C5 on the vehicle and then quickly shoot a missile on the C5... It will count as missile kills. 👍🏻
Thanks for the tip! That one usually worked against me when I was trying to get AT Mine kills. I'd use a Lissile to detonate them & it wouldn't count as an AT Mine kill (sad noises).
I was having a hard time getting kills with the missile because it's doing so little damage. So I tried this and it actually works 🥳. And your tips on how to shoot air vehicles are really helpfull too, thanks 👍
Ok I've been playing Lis wrong all this time. Thought she was best played as a lone wolf camping with tgm from a distance. Gonna start supporting friendly tanks from now on.

do you use your mouse to aim on pc? I fancy myself a pretty good player on bf2042 but can't hit moving targets with Lis's rocket. I play with low sens and I heard you have to change the vehicle aim sensitivity up, but then I'd have to change that back every time I want to play vehicles or be in a turret?
Hey - I play on keyboard & mouse and I haven’t changed a single control setting from default. All I did was switch off DLSS to get rid of the Lissile blur. I’m not exactly a pro but I’ve certainly never done or felt the need to do what you’re describing - WAY too troublesome!

@@timelessgamer_UK ah I see, I just noticed from your infantry gameplay that you use a much higher sens than I do, so thats probably why you didnt need to change settings. However, your tips on positioning and waiting for the right movement are likely the bigger issue for me than the aiming. the graphics in your vids look great though, you must have a nice rig!

Yeah they didn't have a lot of options did they -- but seriously taking out Tanks & Aircraft is my favourite part of the game. Especially love shooting down Jets, it's just such a buzz moment. Love it, great game. Love Lis, never have too many Lis players on the map!

Tip from T1 Lis Player: Play AT Mines. They are much better than C5, only 2 to kill a tank. Plus you can throw them really good when you jump and then throw. So they are good in close quarters too :)

@@timelessgamer_UK Only problem, in close quarters you have to be carefull not to kill yourself with them. But other than that, they are much better than C5 imo.
And you can sometimes just lay them down on a road and get random vehicle kills 😎

Cool video, I think I began to understand the basics of the TV rocket. But every time there's a pilot who knows how to play even a little bit, even if I shoot him in the back, he dodges 100% of the time. Maybe I'm too bad, but it seems that helicopters are so unbalanced in terms of speed of maneuvers that it is easier to avoid them, rather than fight them.
I swear it’s doable just hang in there! Btw I made a part 2 to this if you’re interested, some harder shots!

The helicopters were imbalanced which led to patch 3.2, but I guess it swung too far the other way. I don’t really know how to say this… I’ve met some great pilots, definitely ones that give me a run for my money. But I’ve never met one yet I wasn’t able to catch out. Not at all suggesting every Lissile is a score, far from it - but personally I think it’s in a good place. An experienced Lis can do away with any of the annoying buzzing nightbirds!
Btw not sure if you heard but in S5 Dice has announced Wildcats are getting a buff / more will be on the field. Guess it does need further redress!

Seriously it’s a must to stop the pilots having too much time to react to the audio cue. Wish we had 3.2 back but such is life.
Using the missle on old gen console sucks because whenever o hit someone with it the missle goes through them. I posted a yt short on it to see what im talking about.

Lis is one of my favorite specialists but I prefer to use the anti-tank mines over c5. Do you have any tips on how to be more effective with mines and their placement?
A lot of people have said this to me, I've never used Landmines before. I just unlocked T1 Mastery for C5, so I'm now going to switch to Landmines and try to learn them. Give me a couple weeks to see if I can get good with them, OK? If I find anything of substance worth sharing, I'll certainly make a vid & share what I find!
Prolly obvious but I Bait the vehicle with a rocket or armor piercing rounds they come charging. Boom 💥😂

Personally I'm kind of bummed out by all the times I've tried to be the white mage but once I jump out to repair I get left in the dust. How do you deal with that sort of stuff?
Honestly I've been pretty lucky that the Gamers I've ended up with knowing when a good thing is happening & working with me. They reverse at first because they don't know if anyone will be there & step up to heal, but once they see it, they hold their ground. Sure it happens, that's why I added the clip of our Hero who drove off without me! if someone does that, there's really nothing you can do...

I hope you won’t find this answer too frustrating - but the missiles are unresponsive by design. They were dialled up to 100 before patch 3.2 and it made it way too easy to kill aircraft, so they turned it down again. Honestly the way I play is to try and predict the path vs react to it. That’s why I like to either come from behind if it’s a Heli or head on if it’s a jet - they have less time to react. The secret hot sauce is to make your bet where the vehicle is going to go and aim there & hope it pays off. Possibly not the as helpful an answer as you wanted to hear, but that’s all I’ve got! Good luck, hope you nail the shots :)

OK so this is absolutely up to you to decide. I personally play on 100% default settings. I don’t have any ‘science’ for what I’m about to say, I’m going purely on my own observations.
Jacking up the sensitivity doesn’t hugely affect the Lissile. There’s a maximum turn angle Dice will allow & they’ve been strict on locking it alongside reducing fuel to stop Lissiles “going back around” for another pass.
When I miss shots, it’s because I misread the pilot’s movements not because the missile missed by a fraction. For me - it’s about planning the shot & only doing fine adjustments in flight. I hope that helps, even though I don’t have secret hot sauce settings to advise on!

@@thz6853 Fair play -- and I've had massive fun with C5 anti-personnel, especially when paired with Paik. I'm going to confess something -- I've never use AT Mines successfully. Usually because the thing I'm trying to kill is coming straight at me & equally wants me dead :3

@@SNAKGEAR Actually all of my settings are default, I didn't change a single sensitivity setting in this game. I'm sorry I don't have some secret to share -- that's the simple truth!
If it helps at all, I very rarely use large sweeping hand movements as it's not necessary (the missile reaches its maximum responsiveness very quickly). DICE were clear after patch 3.3 (or was it 3.4) that they toned down the Lissile's ability to turn sharply as they felt it had gone too far. Just makes it all the more important to think about the shot and especially when to hit Afterburner. Hope that helped!
You need to play some control with liz, so much fun when everyone is dashing towards the flags at the start of the match. you can get some free TGMs on the quads/buggys, Most i have had is 4 kills, While riding as a passenger on my way to the flag.. You could probably get more than 4 if your lucky, you need people standing on the quads for that.
I wish I could give it it a go but I’m on the family holiday - I’m missing the event!! Hopefully Dice will bring it back, sounds like people are having a lot of fun with it. Lissile them good on my behalf :)

The biggest issue by far is that it is rare that the team fights as a team, i have so many times put out missile after missile after missile on that one vehicle that has been harassing the team and causing a lot of trouble, only for absolutely nothing to happen because I was the only one doing so.
Solo Lis is lonely and I feel your pain - one of the reasons I made this vid to encourage others along to give it a shot. I have lately been pretty lucky though & managed to down a few Titans. Whilst being alone can be frustrating, still love it when you do finally get one.

i just feel all engineers should reload missile ammo, 2 is never enough and sometimes you get no support to replenish. More times than not ill shoot my missiles, didnt get the kill just weakened it so i immediatly redeploy to self re stock and have to re use all my missiles cause the enemy managed to heal itself to full health in the time.......
This is what I was trying to get at in the guide - nobody can kill an armoured vehicle alone with any launcher. But if you put your shots out, you can do it providing someone else does the same. I actually had a whole section on this in the guide but cut it as it was getting too long. All you can do is take your shot and trust someone else out there will take theirs & you do it together. I think Dice are trying to force teamwork & make the vehicles menacing / priority for the team.
What really gets me is when I work my backside off killing a vehicle (missiles, grenades, C5) and there’s nothing on the scoreboard to reflect that, but the person who sat as a wingman in a Nightbird gets more points 😅

Ok so when you say pass through, do you mean you get the fuzzy de-tuned TV static but no impact, or it simply passes straight through?
Lissiles work on your / their latency & server tick. The bottom line is if you OR the target has a higher degree of lag, it can mean shots miss (or shots that should have missed actually hit). It can be a little frustrating. Console players have a similar issue, if you like I know a really good console Lis player who might be able to help more. Let me know.
There is almost half a second of blackout until my rocket is controllable, unlike any of the vids I've seen where it's near instant. Cant play her like this despite wanting to..
I can’t say I’ve ever heard of that - I’m really bad at anything actually technical. Is it only with the Lissile that you experience input lag?
@@timelessgamer_UK Almost anything similar that involves switching the camera to something else, including a split second spike when first using a thermal scope. From what I've managed to research, the thermal scope thing is likely due to some issues with AMD hardware. No idea if it's related though.
I don't mind it too much either way since I spam Boris usually, just wanted to play Liz too to counter air better.

When I use Liz launcher on boost the screen goes blurry is there a way to disable that, I see when u boost the rocket 🚀 it doesn't.

Mabe a good "balance change" would be to remove the missiles boost completely.
Possibly but it would be hard to smash aircraft without the speed boost. I’d be concerned she’d lose too much. If it were me, I would take away her C5 / AT Mines the way the other two engineers can’t have them and a launcher - and reduce her damage against land vehicles. Make her completely anti-air. Give Crawford the anti land vehicle role and utterly re-work Boris to make him anti personnel engineer. Boris needs a complete and total reimagining IMO before Dice worries too much about Lis…
@@timelessgamer_UK Thanks for the insightful response. I believe in a dev update recently they said they want to make her more ground focused/ less air. But irregardless of the direction of the nerf, I'd agree a nerf is needed. Also a shorter max range on the missle may help/ Longer CD.
Yes I really don’t understand what they mean by making her more ground focused, other than my worst fears they’re going to make it harder to hit Nightbirds. I see absolutely no need for this. Just my opinion of course. Also making her land focused just further reduces the distinction between her and Crawford & makes Boris even less relevant. I would agree with her missile cooldown being extended significantly, but not the removal of “regeneration” unless you applied the same to all specialist abilities. All you’ll have then is people redeploying to get them back. I don’t see Lis needs to be singled out that way vs wait an extra say 20 seconds. I also hope NB pilots can recognise it does take a fair bit of skill to hit them. Often the talk is very one way about how skilled the pilots are (which they are no doubt) but not enough credit is given to the player which read their movements, timed it and shot them down. It’s not easy!

Not silly at all - you can speed them up by using the afterburner. On PC it’s Shift key. Can’t slow them down after you launch so make sure you’re lined up!
@@timelessgamer_UK actually like how you use some type of "manual" proportional navigation (knowingly or not) with Lis missiles. The point of proportional navigation is that "things are on a crash course if line of sight between them doesn't change"

For sure man, the Afterburner is essential for closing the distance and stopping the pilots getting away too easily. Start using it, your hit rate will increase about a thousand percent. If you didn't know you can also press 'E' or the controller equivalent button to cancel the Lissile if you overshoot (you don't need to watch it crash / run out of fuel). Happy hunting!
