With the Inventor card I would have swapped your 3 with the 9 ore. It downgrades your opponents' only ore tile and gives you more pips of wheat than the 10. Plus, it doubles up on the 9, and if the 10 rolls with your Aqueduct you can choose 1 of any resource anyway. With aqueduct, doubling up on the best numbers is more powerful.
C&K gameplay is amazing, by far my favorite mode. Last week me and my friends played C&K + Pirates and Explorers and it was absolute insanity. Wish colonist had the pirates expansion too

I'd say with that number swap upgrading your wheat was a good move but the side brick may not have been the one, for one it's only 3 pips and no one was on it, while you could have taken the 4 pip 9 ore both black and red had cities on, basically starving them of city improvement.
There is also the idea of instead of upgrading your 3 wheat to upgrade that 11 ore at the top since you were planning on building there anyway. Then your opponents would only have 2 pips of ore each and you'd get 5 pips once you got to that spot, perfect for later game pumping out cities.
Other than that I'd just say with the commodities the aquaduct is definitely the move early game, but the 4:1 you did to get the blue commodity might not have been the move, since the blue cards are mostly useful later to upgrade or activate a bunch of knights or effect road networks. I like to target getting a couple yellow improvements for cards cause those are all monopolies, 2:1 exchange cards, etc that can give you an edge in the mid game. Also the level 3 yellow city improvement is amazing later in the game letting you 2:1 commodities for literally anything, so for instance once you have your aquaduct or science metro you can start converting all the excess science cards into resources or even other commodities. Makes a set up like yours which was stacked to get lots of science early for the aquaduct stay more useful into the late game. In general I target the blue improvements last once I have a lot of knights set up to move them around and get the last few points I need winning the barbarian waves.

@@ellycatan that's fair, though also remember your aquaduct only procs whenever a number you don't have roles, so number diversity plays a little differently then the base game.
