Yo bro. Iv been searching for a simple video with vocal chains and mixing for some time now cos i just couldnt get it right based on the fact that im recording at home and quality isnt the greatest.
USB mics have their own analog-to-digital converter. They don't use the computer's. There is no way to deliver an analog signal over USB. They typically sound worse because the built-in preamp and ADC aren't as good as the ones in good interfaces.

Also I know it might seem arbitrary, but the order that you put them affects the sounds. If you put a compression before the eq, you'll get a really different sound than if you put the eq first. Another thing, you should always eq sweep for bad frequencies. Take your parametric eq and boost one all the way up and sweep the whole spectrum for any unpleasant frequencies and then when you find that sweet spot of pain, mute it. You should always use your eqs to remove bad sounds before you do anything that adds to the sound. If you don't take the bad frequencies out, you'll be boosting the bad ones

Okay one thing everyone should know It don't matter what the quality of the mic is If you don't know what you're doing the mix is still gonna be bad Be a sponge, take notes, and watch other videos if mixing and look at the things everyone does similar cause that helped me a lot
Hey Praxi I apply the Ozone Maximizer on the master and it sounds pretty loud and amazing! But when I upload to TH-cam,Spotify etc it gets so much compressed and volume gets too low! Please help?
I mostly record rock music but I might give this chain a try seeing as we both have similar voice. I feel like it would probably work quite well. Thanks!
