Genuine question for anyone who knows the answer: On the special attacks where you start in one stance and change to another, if your attack misses (because the opponent isn’t in the right spot), do you still change stance after? Or no because it failed
I just got this game and it's really great. My 5yo beat me in 2 rounds the first 2 games we played! He was so happy with himself 😊 I can see this being a great game to take to cafes and camping too. Fun. Love the art. Thanks
The intention is for the cards to not be sleeved (so the opponent can't see when a card is rotated 180 degrees via the sleeve opening). The card quality is very high to avoid damage over many plays :)
Got my copy a couple days ago. There is a defect on the back of one of the super cards that means that you can always tell if someone is playing it. Is there anything I can do about this or do I just have to buy another one?

Nice game and video. When I was in high school I made a board game sharing the similar mechanic. Like the poker way of showdown and locking on the cards. This games touches the most essential parts of a real dual. I like it.
Hey man, just a wee tip. If you wanna go no script, you should have talking points and a general structure to follow. Also, I don't think the rule of thirds is important in this kind of format, it feels a bit unnatural. Perhaps it'd be better if you had a box or something next to you to give sense to the space. Finally, I love the enthusiasm, but in the end I didn't really understand the game much. There's a bit too much waving and semantics. Try showing off the actual gameplay a bit more as you're explaining so it's easier to visualize it. Also point to the parts in the card you're referring to; like what determines the distance, which one shows the stance and how do you play cards? (ie. do you have a hand?) Good luck!

I also understood all the rules and everything just fine from the explanations of all the cards and everything. Of course, I play a LOT of games so I'm used to picking these kinds of things up, so maybe there's something I'm missing from what this commenter is suggesting. I thought the video was great as is.
I know you're trying come across as approachable and casual with the non-scripting but man it's coming across min effort and all over the place, and feels like you dont wanna be here or dont really care. I know its just one anon opinion but i wanna give you feedback that i think a lot of us viewers share.

You still change stance! It's not a hit, but the attempt and stance change still occur :)
Will there be a gameplay video? Would be helpful to visualize using the cards
I plan on getting videos out for this and other games that depict a turn for understanding gameplay.
How do attacks resolve? Can you get a draw on a simultaneous killing blow?
From the website I was just looking at, if you both score a blow at the same time, it negates it.
Simultaneous hits result in both players blocking, so no one gets injured.
