I LOVE that you got advice from your Grandmother and Grammy about beauty (and I'm sure so much more). The passing down of advice from our elders to us like that is missing so much in today's world.
I’m so glad you support the more common labels rather than the exclusive (and expensive!) products we are encouraged to use in advertising and by influencers. I use several of the same products as you, though for face wash I decided on what my mother-in-law used-Noxema!
I used to love using the Noxema pads as a teen! Those common brands that have been around for decades make me feel so much better than the new and now because how can you really know, you know?
You have such a refreshing perspective on shopping and influence. I have been influenced in the past to buy certain products as it can really feel like you're missing out if you don't buy it. Almost always it's just a marketing and not some miracle. I keep reminding myself that I don't need to buy new things that keep popping up, especially if I already have something that needs to be used up that works well.
Thanks for sharing your products! I love that you know yourself and what works for you. I get so easily influenced that it's ridiculous. Your video is really helping me think through that. My grandmother used Olay and had the most beautiful skin. And I also love the fragrance of it. It's so comforting to me.
I love that you were inspired by your grandmothers! I'm older than you but we were taught skincare by mother and aunts. I use some Oil of Olay products they remind me of my mother and aunts..i love that color of lipstick on you
I love this video, Nikki! I love Summer's Eve "Delicate Blossom", ever since you mentioned it years ago. I still use it to this day. I can't wait to try these products. Thank you for sharing your Grandmother's and Grammy's beauty and skincare tips.
I see so much of your face in that photo of your grandma. Look at grammys eyebrows, that arch perfect. So pretty Nikki. Thank you sharing grammy's wisdom about lotion right out of the shower. I'll implement that myself. I always dry off first then lotion. It makes sense. I use that Vaseline lotion too but the lavender one. It's my favorite. 🎀💕
I towel off but not completely and keeping the lotion in the shower means I do that right in there before hitting the cool air. I’m so glad this was helpful 🎄
Thank you for sharing! I’ve been using an exclusive, rather expensive skin care routine for the past year and while I love it, it has become too expensive for me to continue so I am looking at other routines. I have very oily skin and hair and I don’t like complicated skin care routines, so definitely will be taking a look at some of these products! I switched to aluminum free deodorant years ago and it does take some adjusting, but it does work!
What an enjoyable video. One grandmother used Olay while the other used Vaseline on her face. Due to sensitivity, I use Cereve. Love the introductory picture.
I try to stick to using the same products as well. I have sensitive skin and I’m very sensitive to fragrances. I have tried unscented products and healthier alternatives but I missed fragrance and smelling nice. I love the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet perfume. ❤❤❤
My grandmother always used Oil of Olay too and had beautiful skin. It used to be called Ulay then. I live in England, so wasnt familiar with all of the products, but I think what you use are very similar in the UK. I use a hot cloth cleanser with Liz Earls Cleanse & polish. I too, put my creams in prettier containers and wait until it's empty before refilling. I put essential oils in my body cream & in the bath. I like Vaseline too. Your Grandmothers and yourself all look as though you have beautiful skin, so I think you're a fantastic advertisement for skincare. Thankyou for sharing 😊 love from Rose Cottage 🌹
Wow! I love the picture of you between both your grandmothers. 3 beautiful ladies! 🌸You have many traits from both. God is so amazing in how He made people! People are true miracles! God bless you!❤🙏🏻🕊🎄
The color of the label that you were trying to remember the fragrance of, I think it was lilac, I bought it before myself, and I'm thinking it is lilac.
I’m enjoying this video so much I agree about using Oil of Olay face creams I’m 80 years old and I started using them in my 30’s still use them I was told that because you pay a lot for skin products doesn’t make them better you always look so beautiful and you’re my favorite Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas ❤
Hi Nikki you look really lovely and l do love that lipstick you wear the colour lights up your face. It's beaut to hear what skincare you use , it certainly is working. Your Grammy and Grandma were lovely ladies. Thank you so much beaut video ❤❤
I associate the smell of Oil of Olay with my mom and grandma. 🥰 My other grandma's beauty secret was Vaseline. There's no school like the old school ❣️
Hello Nikki, You look so fresh and radiant in this video! I’m glad your sil influenced you to try a non aluminum deodorant; does she have other all natural recommendations? I’m very careful about the products that go on my skin directly. If you have health changes as you approach peri-menopause, you’ll find natural products will help these issues. Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Julie! I’ve tried so many non aluminum deodorants. Unfortunately those haven’t lived up to their promises. This one does an okay job (though it hasn’t been hot) though the rose and peony one smells terrible as does the lavender and sage in my opinion. She uses a mixture of both natural and not, including deodorants. I’m keeping these videos to what I’m using but appreciate your interest. Thank you for the tip🎄

The best way to see tried and true results 🎄
I can’t tell you how it warms my heart to see you so happy in your new home. Loving this series ❤️
The shorter hair looks great on you. A very good vlog!
I love seeing what products people truly use. It’s like chatting with a friend. ☺️

You are radiant and lovely. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much🎄
My mother 80 years old swear by dove soap and some Vaseline. Her skin is flawless. Like literally no wrinkles!

Thanks for sharing such an effective, simple skincare routine. By the way, you look gorgeous with a more red-leaning lipstick!
Thank you so much🎄

I’m so glad! It’s been a constant. I hope you like them 🎄
Nikki! Thank you much for talking about the cosmetics with the fragrance; It’s very important for me and now I know what to look for.
I'm glad you found it helpful🎄

My gran used olay. Nivea and max factor make up. I love them all 💖

My grandmothers were the same 🥰
Hi Nikki, I appreciate these suggestions. I am going to purchase some of the OLAY products in January and like the fact that they are budget friendly.
I try to stick to using the same products as well. I have sensitive skin and I’m very sensitive to fragrances. I have tried unscented products and healthier alternatives but I missed fragrance and smelling nice. I love the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet perfume. ❤❤❤
Yes, it was really hard to look forward to putting my face moisturizer on when it was unscented🎄

I found it and linked-it’s called Plum Berry🎄

I completely agree! My Grandma was using it well into her 90’s. That’s so nice to know you enjoy it too 🎄

@ I layer my very healthy deo on first then skim a layer of clinical deodorant if I’m leaving the house.
I use the Bobby approved app
Beautiful 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎄
Oil of Olay tried and true classic
❤
Dermatologists say that unscented products are better for the skin…just fyi.
That’s what they say. I still do what works for me. To each her own 🎄
