Racing Ohta tokyo xtreme racer has real tuning instead of you receiving tuning parts like in nfs or wmmt.
Shorty wmmt is short for wangan midnight maximum tune an arcade based off of real japanese highway racing with a manga and anime call wangan midnight

Jedno Florestal Yes. You are correct. In real life a vehicle with a front biased 70/30 weight distribution would be an absolute honest mess to corner in. It would be inevitably fast in a straight line... if you could fit a 6 cylinder in the tiny engine compartment of a Cappuccino at all (which I heavily believe you couldn’t).
But we are talking about a video game here and the bunny with a sledgehammer analogy is very spot on.
I did a flat 6 swap into the MRS, my fastest C1 car. Really tricky to drive on Wangan though...
Uhh Racing Lagoon exists, a PS1 game where you could make a MR2 (and other fars: a front engined or a rear engined car or a mid with like a EJ20 on it or perhaps a NSX V7
@@inyakiiiyu The one of the first, Ridge Racer V had it too, for RL, the best combination in my opinion will be the Lotus Europa with NSX Engine and chassis, It's my sure win combo. The LS6 is poweful too but the powerband and ratio isn't great.

Modern devs are always ruining remakes. Tho the nfs games are fun they dont hold a candle to underground 1 or 2.
I remember playing this and losing so many times, I got angry and traded it for three need for speed games: underground, underground 2, and most wanted. I thought this game was boring street racing but now I realize this was japanese street racing not american. I felt so stupid for not realizing the difference :/
Man this game takes me back... still looks just like I remember it. I played mostly Gran Turismo 3 and 4 during this era, but TXR:3 was my guilty pleasure. Genki out did themselves on this sequel. It had everything you could want out of a street racing game. I remember on Winter breaks, I'd be huddled up in my bed playing this day and night just building all kinds of cars.
That feeling when you build your first 200+ mph car and unlock the wangan portion of the map and get absolutely put in your place by the “high speed wangan rivals”. They humble you real fast for sure.
I remember trying to beat tail gunner in my S14, he dissapeared instantly 😂
TXR3 was the first game in the series I've got the chance to play ever, when I was about 8 years old. It's still my favorite game after those 16 years that have passed and I have no reasons to regret it. From the large selection of racing games I played in my life, this game is just so special to me and was essential to get me into the JDM world so it deserves this title. Amazing game made by dedicated japanese people. I miss the old times.

Unfortunately Genki shut GRP down on late 2000s so I guess it won't happen in a near future. I myself am expecting for something like this more than a decade to be honest, in my case since the PS3 early era.

That's because they made a mobile game that not only ruined the series, but the series came to a collapse and GRP (Genki Racing Project) was shut down

I remember I got this game as an award at school (as well as 3 other games and a PS2) for doing well on our yearly tests in 3rd grade. And at first I was kinda like wtf is this, especially as a midnight club, gran turismo, and nfsu2 fan. But once I played (especially with my MadCatz wheel) I was instantly hooked
This as well as Road Trip Adventures are some of my favorite childhood games. Both in an open world and it's fun to collect things/achievements. It's also fun playing it again after a reset.

I'm a nerd, i bought legit japanese license plates from Japan for my car. I drive around with mine on the front and my regular plate on back
Police don't mess with you? Cop one time stopped me at night in my Prelude, literally a street before my house. Supposedly we're supposed to have our front plates on our bumper. I used to have mine stuck to the front windshield. Got away with a warning

This game was so cool! They should definitely do a remake and update some things and it would totally be a hit! Realistic engine sounds, realistic graphics, online multiplayer where you can meet people in parking lots and bet money on each other, touge roads in addition to the freeways for more racing variety and drifting, a better variety of traffic as well as more density which requires more driver skill rather than sheer car speed.

I played Tokyo Extreme Racers 2 on Dreamcast, which looks about the same gameplay wise, and I have to agree, this game series is super addictive and fun. I love it

Too bad Initial D didn't get as much love on home platforms, as it has such a killer eurobeat soundtrack! It was the origin of the song: Running in the 90s!
modern gaming is starting to disappoint me, I'm so glad things like emulators exist where I can play all these favorites of mines again and even games I couldnt buy cause I was a broke kid at the time.

AAVl He used an emulator on his pc to be able to play ps2 iso imgs. I think it’s called Pxc2.

It's a street racing game. You drive around the expressway and look for racers to race. The racers are in different clubs and you compete to be the best. Depending on the racer levels the racing routes can change from short routes or longer routes.

Some help with the PCSX2 settings would be greatly appreciated. This is a favourite series of mine. Couldn't enjoy the PS2 games when they were released because of the blurry graphics, Your PCSX2 graphics look amazing, very tidy and defined. Mine are nothing like that and I'm running a GTX 1080 Ti. My image shakes, and the onscreen meters are blurry. I've tried each interlacing option and get nothing like your results. I'm running at 8x Native Resolution, 16x Antisotropic Filtering...

I didn't change the settings mate.. everything set on default (except) the EE/IOP Clamping mode set on FULL.
It's 1.5 (the work in progress version). Gradius V looks phenomenal but everything else I run looks very blurry. Changed Clamping Mode to 'Full' but no noticeable difference...
I'm in 1.4.0,and I don't get the same settings for me.
