To be honest this story copies a lot of the One Sense Online LN, One Sense Online being the oldest VRMMORPG Light Novel predating even Sword Art Online by a few days. Anyway the MC there is literally a Bow using support character, the main difference lies in the fact that OSO focus more in replicating an actual gameplay progression for the character. The MC is not the usual overpowered better than everyone character. He is just an average player trying to play the game in his own personal way, but somehow his friends are some of the best players in the server, so he constantly gets tangled up in their shenanigans. One Sense Online is to me the only true VRMMORPG LIght Novel, the novel tries to make the game itself be more believable by adding depth to it's mechanics, with no character becoming OP out of nowhere. They are all as strong as their builds allow them to be and they only become stronger by progressively leveling up. No sudden asspulled OP mechanics, or unique skills that only one dude possesses.

My point is that the author tried to give a different spin on what Only Sense Online did, but he completely botched the delivery. In Only Sense Online, people rarely use bows because that game forces you to always have a stock of arrows, but arrows are expensive, so you're forced to engage in crafting. It ends up being an inefficient way of causing ranged DPS due to the cost effectiveness ratio, so most people prefer learning magic instead(But there are in fact many bow users). There are in fact hidden synergies between crafting senses and combat senses, but the game keeps that info hidden on purpose, many players learned about some from experience but the MC learns about a couple of them on their own, because he actually focuses more on his crafting than combat senses, he learns some because he always equips more crafting senses(he focuses on more than 2 professions), but on one specific day he was forced to engage in combat while using a specific combination of crafting senses he never used before(sewing, cooking) both being dex based, synergized with his archery giving big bonuses to accuracy and even damage on weakpoints. In this one however, people simply believe that bows are bad and give up on it without trying to make it work. And the MC is the only dude in the whole freaking game who tried to make it work. It makes no sense.

The lower jaw has a spot that does that too inbetween the chin and neck. You can struggle against it, but the more you try to more it hurts, the less you try the less it hurts. But it will force you hand (or mouth) open whether you like it or not. The body has many spots like this in fact too where muscle tension applied correctly can force body parts apart or together.
