  • This is the complete reading of the Anti-Federalist Paper known as Brutus I.
The Anti-Federalist Papers is the collective name given to works written by the Founding Fathers who were opposed to or concerned with the merits of the United States Constitution of 1787. Starting on September 25, 1787 (8 days after the final draft of the US Constitution) and running through the early 1790s, these anti-Federalists published a series of essays arguing against a stronger and more energetic union as embodied in the new Constitution.

When he says "standing armies" it sounds like he's describing police rather than the military.
And WOW! this is almost like a prophecy for describing what it's gonna be like in 2023.

Autonomy is basically the freedom to do and act as you choose. It's essentially not being controlled by someone else. Sovereignty typically is defined as “not being ruled by another nation or kingdom” - so at first glance, the two words are very similar.

The primary objection to the Union is the centralization of power.

And the primary objection to confederate governments is their separateness

TheU.S. does have a "standing army". Under the command of the president. I think it has had such an army since at least 1830. Therefore the USA has not been free since.

The size of the Federal Military forces was severely limited, and only increased during times of war, until after WWII. WWII was the last war officially declared.
