- One hacker, taking control of thousands of zombie computers, could send 74 BILLION spam emails per DAY. Most of it was targeting vulnerable people with the promise of inexpensive (and dangerous) prescriptions.
But when law enforcement, tech platforms, and drug companies worked together, their takedown of these unprecedented botnets changed spam forever.

"The marketing campaign for viagra was a throbbing success"
that's a fantastic line
Yeah well played jack
I had to play that back to make sure I heard it. ð
I wanna like but it's at 69. Take this comment as a like instead
Jack you're the reason I'm going to start studying for the Sec+
Hey.. best of luck with that!!
@@jjarvis7345 thank you so much
Good luck to you! Just passed mine last week. You can do it!
@Xact-ToeBladesI care. So who looks foolish now ?
Congratulations bro/bra! Keep at it. I hope youâre working from home soon :)
This is the best thing that's happened all day, thank you!
This video is a throbbing success.
You noticed that too huh ð
Like Viagra?
This one is a banger of a tale! I remember reading about it in a Brian Krebs book called Spam Nation.
Jack - this may take the crown for the most verbose episode ever. But it was really fantastic and so interesting - so much spam - wow!
The government even shut down import contact lenses! It's 100% about money, they could care less about scams.
EU lenses are $5 at any CVS. Here they're $50 only with insurance. This one pissed me tf off
Book a flight.
Shame we canât force them to price match. The lowest price they have sold for in ANY country is what they should be made to sell for in ALL countries.
So that they stop servicing poor countries entirely, nice.
Would need to be per-capita income adjusted : )@@MewtwoStruckBack
'Glav' is short for "glavny" (ÐģÐŧаÐēÐ―ÐļÐļ) meaning "main" or "chief". It refers to the primary supply agency for a particular good or service in the old Soviet economy- for instance, the old Soviet space agency was call Glavkosmos.
ð
I canât wait to listen to this tonight. Heâs an amazing story teller
Thanks Jack. I will be sure to Listen to your storied while studying for my CISSP program/exam. I will lwt you know hownit turns out in a few months
If crime did not pay, then no one would do it. Thanks for the coverage.
People do it for other reasons than money.
Define crime, as I don't believe breaking some immoral so called laws is actually a crime. Example smoking marijuana. The drugs created by and disturbed by Pfizer alone kill more people that marijuana. Why is one a crime while people celebrate the evil that is Pfizer?
Thank you for all your amazing work! Truly gripping stories!
Great timing, as always, Jack. Happy New Year everybody!ð
Because of this show I'm studying Cy Sec and trying to get into a SOC. I'm also trying to start a nonprofit university. I have a ton of ideas but no one listens to a word I say because I'm schizophrenic. You probably already know who I am. Doesn't matter to me, I'm just some dumbass at the end of the day. Take it easy, love Schizzy.
Iâm sure pun was intended behind the line âit was a throbbing successâ ð
Definitely was. Love Jack haha.
2AM.. CAN'T SLEEP... DARKNET DIARY FRESH UPLOAD 5 MINS AGO= THANK YOUUUU

Blue printer ink, damn you probably got a deal with these pills considering the cost of printer ink ð
Best comment ever!!! ð
ððð
very good listen
I gotta say, a buddy of mine had asthma and he bought a butt ton of A.S. inhalers for like $1 a piece. And he bought like 5 or 6 cases of the blue pill for about 20 cents a piece, there were something like 50 boxes in a case and 4 in a box. That was 2016, I tried one last year. I never thought I needed it, but wow. It was more than I expected. But that was almost a decade ago when he got it, so who knows what it's like now.
Did not expect this oooo yeeeee
Happy New Year, Jack!
Great episode as always!
"throbbing success" tee hee
Right on time. Cheers âĻðĨâĻ
Sending 46 billion e-mails a day in 2008? That's like more power cost than bitcoin mining.
And all that just because there are no fair priced drugs in america. ðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢ
Maybe "the good guys" should be made to not so horrendously overcharge on medication. That would help combat illicit markets a lot...
Bingo
This is the best tutorial on how to set up a botnet on the internet
I haeve question about drada ad: cake is lie?
"The hacker named Google" seems true
Always wondered what happened to my beloved viagra emails when I was a teen hahaha
Humanity as a whole really is stupid. I've been on the internet since the 56k modem and I have never once clicked on a link nor file in an email I did not ask for.
I know right, to add one more thing I have never clicked a advertisement and bought anything from one of them either and I've been on the internet for 30 years
Say it again. Humanity as a whole is stupid!!!
Thanks Jack
Makes you wonder just how performance was effected, dissatisfied partners, and disheartening men and women worldwide.
Itâs not illegal to cross to Mexico and back with medicine, unless youâre buying way too much for one person or for resale.
Great episode jack! Thanks alot man
The narration style is back to good. There's no emotional overdrive anymore, it's a ople
Canada drug prices are still incredibly high cost
"A throbbing success"
I still have hot ladies coming at me from .NL addresses.
But so long as things are sold expensive to the USA people there will be a way round these prices.
13:15 hmmmm what's this Google search engineering thing you talk about? II think 'm going to ask Jeeves about it.
A throbbing success ð
throbbing success was crazy lmao
Jack why.. where did the download button go. Please.....ðĒ
Cut the sound effect volume in half.
I get my alprazalom from Mexico. Ridiculously cheaper.
You have to drive to get it?
@@franciscozubillaga3241 when I was over there earlier this year, I brought a bunch back.
My parents, aunts, uncles are retired and theyâre flying back and forth frequently to visit the family so I have a constant supply as theyâre nice enough to bring me some back.
Got me at the throbbing success ð

They need to create a white hat botnet to battle the black hat ones.
Seems like this pharmacy market would be better with reviews and escrow ð
If pharmaceutical products were accessible to those who are purchasing it from email, would this email spam exist?
Jack hope your grandma is doing well
Hell yh. Thanks for another consistent upload
Edit after listening:
Wooooooooow you did not disappoint me once with these stories. Keep it fkin up man ur doing a hell of a good job.
Do you edit your voice in any way? You could be a narrator
The swearing makes you sound really dumb. Could have been a good comment but you felt it necessary to swear. Makes you sounds very stupid

This is perfect bluechew sponsorship video
Back then i've recieved spam links and i knew what they were, and i had instruments to protect against.... These days we are" legally" spammed with adaptive commercials based on cookies, phone mic, and so on....why they dont stop these?

Ill be honest, i cant help but get the sense the hosts preamble storys are usually cap
I'll be honest, I can't help but get the feeling that you haven't done anything exciting in your life. Go out and do things and you'd be surprised by what can happen. Also, cap isn't a term. You could have said fake or a lie. Cap is such a stupid phrase
â@@trevorjohnson2168The added hilarity of it; the comment is worded as if they were individually asked for their take.
