    Hey, MLT here. Just a quick response to everyone asking why I used a voice changer:
    The reason I wanted to mask my voice wasn't so much so that I could hide my identity, as my name and location etc have been publicly known for many years now, so I wasn't trying to hide any of that. I used a voice changer because it added a layer of plausible deniability which gave me freedom to discuss our hacks in more specific details. If for whatever reason the authorities decided to drag past drama back up and arrest me due to anything I said in this video, then I would at least have plausible deniability due to my voice being masked. Courts in UK need to be able to prove "beyond any reasonable doubt" that someone is guilty of something. If they decided they wanted to try and claim I was guilty of some crime because of something I discussed in this video, they'd have a much harder time in court due to the voice changer and a few other precautions that I took.
    The downside is that it makes me a lot harder to understand (especially with my accent too), I think it'd have been better especially for Non-UK viewers if my voice had been dubbed by someone. The upside however is that if I had chosen to NOT use any voice changer or take any other precautions, then I would have had to have been a lot more vague while discussing my past hacks and activities carried out during TeaMp0isoN, so I feel the story would have been a bit less interesting if I did not use a voice changer, as I would have needed to hold back on what I talked about.

    The reason why extradition to the USA is controversial is because people accused of espionage or terrorism judt have no chance of a fair trial.
    Some Nordic countries also refuse extradition because US prison conditions like solitary confinment are considered torture.

    • @Jszar
      @Jszar 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not just the lack of fair trial for terrorism charges that's been cited as a reason to refuse to extradite someone to the U.S.. The problem starts earlier, when prosecutors are allowed to bring intense psychological pressure against a defendant when trying to get them to agree to a plea bargain. People who might be acquitted at trial can end up pleading guilty to a crime they didn't commit, because they've been manipulated into it. The UK has gotten more skittish about that over the years.

      I have no idea what the EDL or what they stand for or if they've ever done horrible shit, but in my opinion going after other people for "spreading hate" aka speaking and having an opinion somebody disagrees with (even if it's a horrible opinion) is one of the weakest things you could possibly do and I would never condone it, even if the side doing it is one I agree with. The principle of thinking you have the right to attempt to silence somebody else regardless of what they're saying is just disgusting to me. I'm only 10m in so far though, so your comment has me excited to see where it all goes.

    I can totally relate to him being a kid and just wanting to hack for the sake of doing so. I remember being a kid and getting totally hooked on computers and because of my nature I automatically leaned towards the hacking aspect of it. My first hack was a brute force hack on the angel fire web page of the month. I’ll never forget the feeling of guessing the right password I was so excited I couldn’t wait to tell someone about it. Like a dummy I passed the info to a friend from a chat group who used it to go there and just do some basic defacing. Well apparently the website logged only the last ip address to go on there and he got a call from the feds. Needless to say he was pissed and accused me of so sorts of stuff. Ah fun times 😅

      It wasn't so much of an opsec failure, but rather the fact that when TriCk targeted an intelligence agency, they targeted us back. FBI were trying to find me for 2yrs and were failing hard, then as soon as TriCk targeted MI5/MI6, within 48 hours they had found us. I've actually got a .pcap from back when they were targeting us, and they hit us with all kinds of crazy 0days... TOR exploits, browser-based exploits, etc.
      That being said, my opsec was definitely not great, but it was due to MI5/MI6 hacking us back that we got caught, rather than due to my opsec being bad.

    This isn't a criticism rather a heads up but the voice thing does nothing to hide his accent which is very very distinctive to the point where if I was stood next to him outside Greg's eating a sausage roll I'd say hello so if you can do something to further mask might be good idea

      Hey, MLT here. I intentionally wanted to mask my voice as much as possible to give myself a layer of plausible deniability, which gave me freedom to discuss our hacks in more specific details. People already know that I'm from Newcastle and have done for a long time. I just used a voice changer purely for the sake of plausible deniability.

      Yeah he’s been uploading a lot of old episodes people may have looked over. Not a bad idea. If you follow the show on Apple podcasts or wherever else you can stream it he uploads new episodes there way before he puts them on TH-cam. I’m assuming because he has to edit and put visuals with the audio for his TH-cam channel

      Hi, MLT here.
