I am shooting with the Shadow 2 CO2 Airsoft for over a year now in IPSC competitions and would like to add some details from my experience with this great handgun:
    - It is a really well-made copy of the CZ Shadow 2 9x19mm handgun with the exact external measurements and controls as the original. (It is actually made my KJ Works in Taiwan, and imported by ASG - In case you need accessories or spare parts.) Like its' big brother, it is designed for IPSC Production division. Of course you can use it for other shooting applications too, but keep in mind that this gun is meant for practical shooting in this specific division, that is why it has certain features (such as the DA/SA trigger) and might lack others.
    - The DA/SA trigger is very good: SA pull-weight is very low (I haven't measured it, but it feels good!), has a little bit of creep (like the original), reset could be a little bit shorter, but it's still good. The DA-pull is a bit jerky and could be smoother, but fortunately you only need this for the first shot in IPSC Production division.
    - With magazine inserted, it is almost the same weight as the original, which is heavy(!), but this allows for very quick follow-up shoots - which is a real advantage in practical shooting. I would not recommend to use this as a carry gun or backup gun in CQB though...
    - I am using CO2 magazines and this works very reliable. I have seen shooters with gas magazines and they sometimes have issues with this. So, I recommend to stick to CO2 and change the cartridge after about 60 rounds. (You can shoot more, maybe up to 100 rounds, but there is nothing worse than an empty CO2 cartridge in the middle of a course of fire!)
    - Speaking of magazines: Unfortunately, they are quite heavy and made of a non-magnetic material. This is a big difference to the 9x19mm magazines which are very light-weight compared to that. This means that you need to be careful with magazine-changes, as they can break when you drop them from you normal shooting position. (Typically, the small pin on the plastic follower that holds the base-pad will break off when they hit a hard floor.) Also, you cannot attach them to a magnet on your belt, so magazine pickups from tables etc. are handicapped. (On top, they are also somewhat expensive, another reason to be careful with them...)
    - Another weakness you should be aware off is the hammer/sear housing - the part the holds the hammer, sear and disconnector group inside the frame. It is made of a bit too weak material that tends to break when you do a lot of DA trigger-pulls. (Typical symptom is that when you try to do a DA trigger-pull, the trigger will "slip" and not cock the hammer completely.) It can be replaced by a spare part, but disassembly is a bit tricky. So I recommend to not do too much dryfire practice using DA pulls with this gun and expect this part to break sooner or later. (Rumor is that newer guns have this part strengthened, please let me know if that's true!)
    - If you want to add a red-dot sight (and start in IPSC Production Optics): The slide is not optics ready, so you will need an adaptor plate.
Other than that, I think this is a really great gun and I highly recommend it if you want to shoot IPSC Actionair Production division. You can use it out-of-the-box and go to a match with it, no need for any adjustments (other than maybe the hop-up setting) and perform well with it. It is also great if you later want to upgrade to the 9x19mm version, or use it in addition for dryfire practice and some airsoft fun, as your holster will be compatible. As mentioned, I would not use it for CQB mainly because of the high weight. For other IPSC divisions, maybe other guns would be more suited (such as a 2011-clone in Standard, or a race-gun in Open division - for both you will want an even faster SA-only trigger and some other features like magwell or thumbrest).

The ASG CZ Shadow 2 Co2,
The worst airsoft GBB I ever had, after aproximately 2 weeks the hammer spring broke, so I sent it back to the store and they sent me new one as refund, and the "new one" had 3 malfunctions RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.
First of, the safety didn't work at all, it couldn't even be switched up/down. ( just in case, yes the hammer was cocked)
And the second issue was that the BBs couldn't even stay in the chamber, no matter what I did they kept rolling out, so I spent like an hour adjusting the hop-up but it didn't work, so I'm assuming the bucking and hop-up were already factory damaged, and the final part, after like a week the hammer spring broke again.
The worst 215$ I have ever spent.

Excellent gun. Crazy comments. you have to be brave to have a TH-cam channel these days. One thing that should make you feel better is that the handles are not polymer they're actually made of metal. An old trick is to just run your teeth across something and you will be able to tell where it's made of plastic or it's metal. Just don't try it with a fully loaded magazine. Cheers from Canada.

This "tail" is not for protection. This tail is for stability while you shoot. If you grab a handgun in a proper way, you should always try to squeeze your hand under this stay so you support the handgun core during recoil and fire cycle. No handgun fires elsewhere than the muzzle points. If you thing it's tending to go up and left, it's you that squeezing the trigger in a wrong way without the proper technique.

    Best? Dunno..
Looks and feels amazing.. But I'd never take it out for any airsoft gameplay (if I were an airsofter myself, but I am not). The CZ P-09 seems built more simply (just take a look inside the lower receiver and you know what I mean) and most probably is not as prone to get effed up by dust etc. All those small parts around the hammer assembly in this Shadow2 (which is not a cheap pistol) would make me hesitate to drag around with me in allkinda terrain for a whole day..

Good review. One thing you should improve on. You put your finger on the trigger in a wrong way. You should touch the trigger by the middle section of the distal phalange of your index finger.

He probably meant laser or something of the like. Lasers can shoot red dots/beams after all

I just ordered one to shoot a bit at home when I cant go to the range, it is almost similar to the real CZ
Btw.: You seem to have no experience with guns, so 1. Never, never ever put any of your bodyparts (finger) in front of your barrel, 2. Keep your finger straight off the trigger 3. For shooting only touch the trigger with the tip of your finger, it will help shooting accurate.
I know it is only a softair, but you train yourself absolute nogos, and when you handle a real gun some day, you could fall into this behaviour, and this could be real dangerous for yourself and others around.

I shoot people when I airsoft so I guess tht means ima fall into that same behavior at a shooting range with people around😅😑

you don't use the tip of your finger to pull a trigger. using the tip pushes your gun to the left if you use the crease of your joint you will pull the gun to the right you're supposed to use the middle of your finger pad

@@James-ke5sx True, sry my english is not that good, by tip of the finger I meant the first pad of the finger. Lots of airsofters, like my brother in law, pull with the trigger at the first joint.

The best airgun ever? and then spends 18 minutes doing nothing but fondling it and showing the mags. Seriously, why bother? No shooting, no tech specs, just you fondling the gun.....

The gun is far from being even an "average"
The only reason why people say its good is because they spent over 200 dollars on a junk and feel dumb to admit it.
