I know I'm commenting pretty late after this vid has gone up but I just wanted to say that the way you hold the lever is an absolute gamechanger for me. I could barely do electrics and wavus on P1 side on stick while trying to mimic the ways the big youtubers say to do it but I tried out your way an while I still need to work on it some more, my wavus/electrics are so much faster and consistent. Great vid man and thank you!
@@3rd_Degree_Burns yeah bro of course!! I mean I seen the same videos you did trying to figure out the Korean lever but that shit ain't help me so I had to find a way that fit me the best . I'm glad you found some use in the video though ! 🤟🏽🤟🏽
Really cool video and helpful, straight to the point and the small touch of humor was nice, subscribed, hope to see you upload more videos on tekken, maybe with the 8 coming this year ?
Yeah of course. Was thinking about finishing my review of the sanjuk v6. Or even hand placement on buttons for s fightstick. Wutcha think about that? And yeah of course def more content.
What's the lever you are using called? Any modding to that lever? I got a Sanwa but it has a lot of resistance and not a fan of the square gate on it either. Oh and do you use a square gate or nah? You should keep making content bro you deserve a lot more subs!
@@mugen8602 thanks brother you give me motivation to finish the projects I had planned haha. Been unmotivated didn't know if it was worth making for others but from what I've seen people actually find help in this tut. But to talk about the lever, I use a sanjuk V6. It is a Korean lever. So Korean levers do not have gates. You can also modify the grommet inside the lever to be softer so you have less resistance. Same goes for if you want more resistance. Maybe I'll make a quick vid on Japanese levers vs Korean
@@justsomeasiandude2733 I definitely appreciated your video plus you got some really strong mechanics from what I saw in this vid. I’m new to tekken… AND bought a fightstick after messing around with the game for a few days. Very useful guide. My fightstick has a balltop, you think I should go for the other type ?
So the balltop indicated tells me you have a japanese lever. That's usually what comes with Japanese fight sticks. The other type I think you're referring to is the Korean lever, it's all preference but I mainly use the Korean lever for tekken. If you can I suggest trying out both to see what you like
@@justsomeasiandude2733 yeah I have the HORI ps5 fightstick alpha, riding now the ball top was Japanese-related. Thanks for your advice, I’ll look into the Korean top then. I’ll sub to keep up with your content.
Do you find it easier using your middle and index for dqcf? Ive been having troubles w them in 3rd strike and i figured maybe it was bc of the way my fingers are placed but then again maybe its a skill issue lol
Haven't really played street fighter , but I can say that for me, qcf movements in Tekken feel easier for me with the way I hold the stick as opposed to the traditional Korean lever hand placement
Which finger do you use for "up" direction for quick side step. Once is okay but if you had to do it up, back, up multiple time very quick. I still find upward side step more uncomfortable and slower than downward side step. Can't figure out good grip for it. Thumb pushing it upward alone is too weak and slow..
I feel like I've just grown accustomed to using my thumb to press up. I'm pretty sure my thumb muscle grew a bit just from countless hours put into training movement. But for sure, I definitely use my thumb for the up input.
@@justsomeasiandude2733 yesterday i was playing on the arcade in the mall nearby my house, i was having trouble of finding the diagonals like df and uf, any tips or vids abt that?
