Plus song Yadong fight IQ was good here adjusting mid fight to counter Simon's style I like both Song Yadong and Ricky Simon, both are dark horses in the division. Head up for Simon, if he learns from this match he'll be on title orbital. But in this fight Song Yadong proved to be at the championship level. Maybe a rematch with Chito Vera, Rob Font or maybe against Petr Yan would be cool and and a good opportunity for three fighters for getting up the rankings to a possible title contender.
Song really imposed his will on the fight and made it how he wanted it to go. It was impressive. I was surprised by how striking-centric this fight was
What Aljo said about being a competitor over a fighter is huge for him to understand mentally, alot of these guys don't know which they are. in my opinion strategy first and avoid damage but the guys who can go dark and switch from competitor to fighter( Izzy rd5 vs Gastelum) will have the most success competitors break before fighter imo.
