I can remember back in 1977 helping the Farmer put the hub duel's on the 706 German diesel !!!! We used a 2by12 under the main tire too !!!! We also took the front weights off the tractor then the tractor went to green giant and they hooked a Big farmhand manure spreader to it and it went on the Silage pile for the CORN PACK !!!! YOU GUY'S CAN BRING BACK OLD MEMORY 😊❤

My goodness, when I was 20 years old my brother and I had "contests" of strength putting duals on. Now that I'm in my mid 50's, those days are long gone. Like the older folk would say ,"work smarter not harder". Love Pa's FFA shirt too.

I’m a Pa County officer for the FFA this year. My brother and I also have strength contest and other things. We’ll see who can throw rocks farther or wind straps faster so that we get the work done but have fun

We used to mess around with those duals every year till dad got a hernia lifting one of those tires... Kept them on for good after that :0

That 7810 is a beautiful tractor. Awesome video guys, that's cool that your dad grabs the camera now too! You guys have definitely found your TH-cam calling haha

We drive ours up on a 6x6, then use our forks on the skidsteer on the stood up dual, just drive in, one guy outside the machine can get one bolt started pretty easy if the guy in the machine can run it, once one is started the wheel can be bumped around with just one of the forks to get it on the dual hub flange. That used to be a put on in the spring, take them back off to run processing tomato rows all summer which are spaced at 60", then put them back on in the fall to harvest them, only to pull them off for winter. Now with just hay, I haven't put them on in a number of years. Don't really miss it.

As always a nice video to watch. Brings back memories of when we had to put them on.

Gee,that looks like so much fun!! When I stand up from my easy chair my back will remind me of how many times I have pushed and pulled on a two sets of duals for our field tractors 🚜 😳. Yep ,the good old days!! One thing, duals really help out in the field. 😊.

Can't tell you how many duels I put on. When I first started, I put a couple on backwards and thought, "oh crap" I gotta do it over.

We also take the duels on on off on our farm ! Me and my dad take a Saturday after noon and do 3 tractors. We have one axle set, one t rail style, and one that clamps to rim. The clamps on rim is the most fun.. haha love the videos guys !

Nice work! Installing duals is not one of our most enjoyed tasks to do but it has to be done😄

In the farms videos I've watched, I have not seen anyone lubricate bolts when they install them. My Dad, who was a machinist, always did so. Is there a reason for not doing this? Thanks.

Curious why you need duals on a 7810 with MFWD. We have a 6170M with 20.8-42 on back and 16.9-30 on front and do not need duals at all even with our hardest pulling tillage tool which is a Great Plains Discovator.

Why don't you let the air out for a more easy way to put it on??

Everytime I have to do anything with tires I always think: You know, there are people out there who pay gyms for the privelage to go do this...

  • @timmyscroggins1962
    @timmyscroggins1962 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You should tell all the non farmers why the tire treads are shaped and angled the way they are.......some folks don't realize how important that is.......

Charley, turn down the volume or mute the dang thing. These guys LOVE to explain things, in case you haven't noticed.
Are the videos custom made just for you?
Why make life harder and then complain about it?
There must be at least 100 different farming channels on TH-cam and each has many different videos/episodes, I try to enjoy "the hunt".
