As a Cards fan, just beating the Cowboys and remaining somewhat competitive has been more than enough and expected for me.
You’re a different 1-4 than say the Broncos for example. Gannon has your team playing hard, with effort. If you lose you lose fighting.
The Broncos on the other hand look bored and disinterested, and they had expectations this year.

It was a golden week for Philly. Washington and Dallas humiliated in prime time, the Giants beaten, and a convincing win over the Rams. A thing of beauty.

yo i had no idea love was a first round pick lmaooooo how does love go in round 1 but hurts goes at 53 hurts was way better in college. packers fleeced themselves hahaha (although hurts is overrated but he's still good)
@@jamesnelson8469 Love went in the first round and is an inconsistent, obviously inexperienced, young QB. Brock Purdy went dead last and is a consistent, poised, young QB.
Is it worse how high Denver took Love or how many teams whiffed on Purdy? I mean, for Purdy to drop to dead last every single team, including the Niners, had to pass on him multiple times.
Both seem like a weird outcome - though I think Love will improve. I'm just dang impressed by the way Purdy seemed like a vet right out of the gate and seems to still be getting better. He's not a guy like Mahomes or Brady where you can lean on him to get you the win, but he's only a tier lower - a really good QB, but not a great one.
But he might grow into being great with the way he's been developing.
@@jamesnelson8469 Not really though. Love had a pretty stellar college carrer. The amount of QBs that can get 3500 yards in a single season with only 6 interceptions is pretty low.
Jalen Hurts on the other hand, looked fantastic, but was also with Alabama. When it comes to them, you have to take into account that Alabama is one of the two most stacked schools in the SEC.
Look at Bryce Young. I'm sure his stats looked stellar, but the reality was, he got so much time to toss the ball that any and all NFL games would be over in an hour and a half if things were like that. It's really biting him and the Panthers in the ass until he gets accustomed to it. All things considered though, why the hell did they get Love if they were going to bench him for so many years? Ofc he's gonna play awful, last time he played football was when Aaron Rodgers looked good.

Last year I found Tom because of the Giants/Packers in week 5 and I had joy. This year...well let's just say I find joy in other ways. Like watching the 49ers beat the Cowboys.

As a Panthers fan, I'm just tired. Tired of losing sleep over this team. My enjoyment of the NFL has hit rock bottom as a result of my team's completely pitiful performances. But these... these always put a smile on my face. Even if it is through gritted teeth. Thanks for your work, Tom. It might just be a game, but it's pretty real to some of us, and you help it all go down a lot easier.
It’ll get better I promise, it’s the suffering that makes the comeback better. I think Bryce young will be able to develop into a solid QB with his IQ. Perhaps y’all can get some top skill players next draft or something and pop off when Bryce comes into his own

As a Pats fan the worst part isn’t even that we’re bad because as much as that sucks, some of us remember before Brady and can live with it. What is new and unacceptable is that it doesn’t even look like we’re trying out there anymore. The entire teams given up and it makes everything nearly impossible to watch.

As a Cheifs fan the refs were trying to give the game to Minnesota. 5 non existence penalties in a row
1 out of the 5 was legit, but yes. Chief's had double the penalties called on them, double penalty yards, and 5 of those penalties were for automatic first downs. The refs helping the chief's is getting old and shows laziness to not even look at a box score.

To be fair to Canada, Josh McDaniels likewise doesn’t think a pass can be completed beyond the line of scrimmage. Also he hates using plays on 4th and 1 that have a 92% success rate.

Kinda unpopular opinion but Purdy was always a real QB, but at the same time is a product of Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Looking just at what we could see before he got to the NFL he’s a solid 2 round pick, 3rd round steal. He’s extremely consistent and has an incredible drive to learn and improve, which will win you more championships than any other metrics. However, being consistent requires a good O-Line for your focus on throwing and not avoiding a sack and a good receiving core executing well drawn up plays means Purdy is never forced outside his comfort zone as much as someone like Justin Fields is. Purdy is the best example of how one person doesn’t win games, the whole team does, and so while Purdy absolutely has the potential to be the 49ers franchise QB for 10+ seasons. If he were drafted by a different team I’d say he’d be more of a highly ranked backup along the skill level of Gardner Minshu and Tyler Huntley. He’s a highly skilled player and it shouldn’t be assumed he’ll regress because he was the last pick. Justin Tucker was undrafted and I don’t think there’s anyone out there who denies he’ll end up in the HOF.
getting so tired of the Purdy shade....people just can't cope that little plain ole Purdy is better than all these A lister qbs that are hyped up for having the right look big arm height 40 etc. people can't comprehend greatness not being tangible. dude is running windows 12 pro while many first rounders got windows vista and that's why he's better.
The kid knows how to read defenses. His football IQ is off the charts. Playing at a Iowa State helped him progress fast playing better competition with less weapons. I'm surprised we managed to snag him as last pick. The scouts missed big on that one.
Man, Purdy can read the defense so well he knows what to look for on 10 yd passes.
I've seen multiple other 49ers QBs try to do the same things and they failed. He is legit
@@jamesnelson8469 Maybe managers will think twice before spending vast amounts of draft capital to nab a giant with an ARM who's only started 5 games in college...nah, finding the smart ones is way harder to figure out.
