I played this on computer from a Sega collection disc. When I saw you not kill the dragon except with the main guy, I immediately remember him having a special kill animation, then bam! There it is! Then when he talk and stuff. What a great game!
My Team: 1. Max. Of course))) 2. Lowe. Most strong and enduring healer with Demon Rod. 3. Chris or Gong. Aura. 4 and 5 - Luke and Gort. 2 unique Atlas axes. 6. Guntz with pimento or mobility ring. Tank with spear or lance. 7. Kokichi. Battle helicopter with spear or lance. 8. Pelle or Earnest as strongest centaurs. 6, 7 and 8 - unique Valkirie, Devil lance and Halberd. 9. Musashi with pimento or mobility ring. Tank with sword. 10. Zylo. No comments)) 11. Tao. Battle spell highest level by mid-game. 12. Anri or Domingo. Freeze 4. Nuff said)))
It sucks you get bleu so late in the game. So much potential but such a low level before the Kain fight. You have to grind for ages to make him useful.
Wait, what the hell? You can go past level 20 after promoting?? That means I don't have to promote at level 20 after all!! That rat bastard on GameFAQs lied!!
I feel like the FAQs on Gamefaqs are out of date. But generally you only need to hit level 10 to promote and levels can extend. Dont know how much though, I'm not one to grind.
I've mostly been relying on these two. gamefaqs.gamespot.com/genesis/563340-shining-force/faqs/51880 and gamefaqs.gamespot.com/genesis/563340-shining-force/faqs/63598 Despite how objectively easy they are as far as TRPGs go, I just can't do it. Farthest I've gotten is the one after you get the turbo pepper.
Meh, I hate blue and gong. Gong is pretty good in the early game then after the promotion gets sooo useless... I've always kept Tao on my roster, level 4 blaze is not too bad
It took awhile to like Blue, his free movement is why I kept him. Gong is good late if you can endure until he learns Aura. I used to keep Tao, but then I found too many enemies resisting fire. Ari ends up better with freeze 4 and access to Bolt 2.

Gotta have that MC kill.
That's how I played it too!

@@craftodude3267 characters learn a lot of neat stuff if you put in the time.
He came from Marinara, the wizard college, remember?
Using cursed weapons & letting Bleu die. 2 strikes against you.
Sometimes you use whatever works.
Yea, but he's an Arthur enjoyer so that makes up for it.
Only the real badasses use the cursed weapons

@@Saarindiasuparpowar2020 i was going to do a playthrough soon so maybe I'll revisit him
These skeleton soldiers look like an Iron Maiden Coverart 🔥
Four hands holding two swords and a gatling gun, yeah, I can see that.
You miss the part when the robot adam i think is in a farm and found the main character alive
@adrialmada7521 can't show off all the spoilers. Also didn't want to drag in the credits.

@@AndrewBlechinger uou need 20 level to promote in SF-2
Luke and Gort are crazy OP i keep them both, Musashi and tao are missing. Bleu and gong shouldnt be in there.
Lots of characters shouldn't be there.
Nah nothing wrong with the monk!
Anri is better than Tao.
Never beat this guy. Always ran out of health.
Definitely need a healer or two to go through this one. That and I think just focus fire.
