I would love to hear Mr. Bittner play some of TWC's groovier tunes. Stuff from I Hear Black, and more sludgy tracks like that. Either way, I'm glad this brother is on board TWC going forward. 🤘🏼
De todos los bateristas que tuvo Overkill, Bittner es el unico que toca los clasicos asi como son.. sin ahorrar nada, todos los pequeños detalles.. Excelente..
Can't wait for new Overkill album with you! Sticks I get from you are my favourite. Before I played with naked sticks (without black grip tape) and it was a mistake 🤔 Cheers 🤘
yeah i didnt have my camera's volume set loud enough - better to be to low than too loud and distorted - out front they were screaming loud - you can find a full pro shot video on here - just search "overkill rock hard fest 2018"
Jason Bittner Cheers Jason, I'll check it out as I always enjoy hearing your thunder. Your 'What Drives the Beat' DVD is still my go to instructional resource for double bass, thrash and blasting techniques. Thanks for the inspiration.
Why do I need to know what the snare drum or toms sound like from a distance of a few inches? Is that how you normally listen to drums? By sticking your ear up against each individual part of the kit? No wonder recorded drums never sound like real drums. There is no sense of height, air or spade around the drums in close-mic'ed multi-tracked recordings for that reason. All instruments are crushed into the same flat plane of sound. Also, you forgot to "track" the drums separately from the other instruments. Are you not suppose to go in stage to perform your drum tracks, and then the rest of the band goes on stage to perform their own parts on other dates, just like in the studio, eh?
I love seeing you do Sids parts correct, with your twist. Hes a severely underrated drummer. Awesome job.
Totally agree about Sid Falck. And Rat Skates too. Overkill's music is full of fantastic drumming
TY - I always loved Sid, he was always my fave, no offense to anyone else either who has held this chair, Sid was the most influential on me
Awesome job sir!
