I Worked On A Psychedelic Farm in Mexico For 1 Week

  • I stayed on a farm in Mexico for a week and worked in exchange for free accommodation and food! I found the farm via Wwoof, a website that connects travelers to farmers. I didn't know it at first, but the farmer actually grows medicinal plants. It was an experience I never will forget!

    Hey everyone, thanks for the support on this one! I wanted to answer a few questions that I've been asked a lot and clear some things up!
    Q: "Aren't you snitching on him?"
    A: No because this isn't illegal. Due to Silverio's Indigenous background and Native Mexico’s view on tradition and self-determination these practices and medicines are deemed as ok.
    Q: "Did you try the Mescaline?"
    A: No, I didn't. I'm extremely curious about it but I treat these things as something that requires mental preparation and thought. Since I found out by surprise I didn't want to jump into something so nonchalantly that holds so much.
    Q: "Isn't that a backyard, that isn't a farm.:"
    A: Well technically yes, it is a backyard, but what you don't see is that the farm stretches back multiple acres.
    Q: "Why would you do this? Isn't it dangerous to trust a guy you met via email?"
    A: Yeah, I was aware of the risks but I had been communicating with him for a few days before I left along with a phone call. I knew his farm was legit. Perhaps I was relying heavily on my gut but I trusted him and everything turned out amazingly.
    Q: "Why did you farm in skinny jeans"
    A: because punk rock 24/7 baby

      The best education what oneself can get is to be good with himself. If you are good or if you are fine with you. You are intelligent and blessed. Love the good, and just and correct.

You yourself are the source of education, but you must transmit health and well-being at all times without asking for money. You already know that Buddhists are dumb. Exactly, they are alien hands that manufacture all that. If you travel to China, you will be disappointed, because they are fools and idolaters. But they have in their language the alien as well as the Japanese

Pay is amazing but big surprise we don’t have any people his age working there I’m the youngest and I’m almost 30. Step up your game youngins! Get to working and sweating!

    • @jakecates815
      @jakecates815 4 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Lmao generations have nothing to do with it. And don't forget who raised us😉 I know 40 years olds who sit on their ass and claim well fair for no good reason, I don't see any 18 year olds doing that. I'm 19 and I already own my own llc, went to college 12 hours a day 7 days a week to get all my hours done before the school foreclosed. I work all day everyday trying to grow my own business. I have work ethic. And I know many people my age who do. Its your generation that likes to talk so much shit😂 once again. YOU GUYS TAUGHT US EVERYTHING WE KNOW, RIGHT? at least that's what you'll claim when we do something good lmao.

    • @annonomis9299
      @annonomis9299 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jake Jake Cates for someone with a college education you sure jumped on that “I’m not lazy so people my age aren’t” bandwagon pretty quick. Let me know when you have 15 years more work experience and actually work with people your ago or younger. You know why 18 year olds don’t claim wellfare? Most don’t know how or don’t qualify for unemployment. Every single kid under 23 years old I have EVER worked with has either A: been fired for attendance B: quit cuz it was “too hard” or C: was fired for being useless on the job site and has ZERO work ethic. It’s all about easy money and no breaking a sweat. I understand feeling valued and only putting in what you get paid for but it becomes a self entitled selfish issue where all they care or think about is themselves. Not pulling their weight in workload to get job done and make it easier on coworkers. Sure there’s a few hard working kids out there but the self entitlement and laziness toward hard work is rampant. What kind of business do you own? I’ve owned a few myself and guess what? I only kept workers older than me cuz the workers my age and younger couldn’t keep up and refused to be a part of the team. But tell me more about all the experience in the work force you have and cuz you own your own business that means all kids you age are hard workers and hold a reliable career down. Also interesting to note that more than 1/3 of youth (18-34 in this stat) live with their parents still. Must be all that hard work and motivation huh?

      As someone who's worked on organic all hand tool powered farms, pulling corn stalks does start to wear on you after about 3 hours. Any repetitive, unfamiliar motion does. Once you're in the swing of things you can do it all day, but first day doing hard physical labor ever??? Damn. From what I've gathered the guy did it all day. I'd be sore from boredom at the very least, and farming is my passion.

  • @zurisadaimerazmartinez8980
    @zurisadaimerazmartinez8980 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    Mexican over here🙋
    Peyote it's a plant that has been used for many many many years, it comes maybe from prehispanic Mexico (before the discovery of America). It can be used for a lot of things, usually in the place I live people make a sort of cream, and it is used for sore muscles, or irritated skin. Some other use it to make some tea out of it. And then there's the tradition in which peyote was used to induce people into psychodelic transes or "trips". Ancestors used to do this cause they believed it was a way to get in contact with the Gods. Nowadays when people use it to get the "psychodelic trip" they believe it's a way to get into a trip within yourself and your soul and to get to know yourself, discover stuff about you, maybe your purpose maybe your fears and stuff like that.
    Yes they're "drugs", but people and the government don't really see it as "drugs" cause it's more a thing of tradition you know. Like if someone tells you "peyote", drugs it's probably on to the last thing you think about haha, it is more about the traditional medicine.

    You did a very good job and I'm sure the farmer appreciated it and your company . When I was 20 years old I went to London , England with a man I only knew from a bar for a few months . Turned out to be the best thing I ever did. We were there 10 days. He even left to go see his family in another town and gave me 100 pounds to keep myself busy . Then we came home .sometimes it pays to trust strangers .

      Chase Thompson in the garden bed that he built, there were 3 broad-leafed indica plants late in veg. Then around the house there were 5 thin-leafed sativa smaller ones. Bit of a dumb move on his part to have them all blocked from sunlight by the house in at least one direction, but he might be trying to force them to flower early by giving less light.
