Same especially when I was in elementary school the one bus I rode 86 I was the first stop from 2nd grade to 2nd week of 4th grade then what happened was my driver for 86 said since there was to many students getting on at my stop there was around 15 and some of us had to sit 3 to a seat after the first week since there was to many stops my stop had to take a different bus 19 to school, it was a unfortunate shorter ride I only rode for about 25 mins on that bus instead of 40 since there was only 4 stops after me. But the 2nd stop on 86 became the 1st stop for my old bus then I moved again and rode bus 27-16 then I was on for longer then the other 2 times but wasn’t the first stop there was about 8-9 stops after me but only 2 stops before me. Mainly I was on for awhile because we had to wait for bus 47-13 for transfers for the highschool, then rode bus 36-11 and was the first stop again and my driver for that retired not only retired but the numbers changed from 36 to 86-11 and the new driver happened to be my cousins old driver who used to do 39-14. Then I rode buses 82 then transferred to 69-16 at the middle school I went to I had a lot of nice drivers except for the one for 82 he was rude towards me just because I said goodmorning :/. And at the time I rode bus 19 it was a new route for the county because we also had students who rode bus 85 about 3 of the stops road 85 and one of the stops actually rode 36-11 and was my friend and we rode the same bus again when I moved on the same road as her my bus when I road 36 mainly only had stops on the same road route 86 in wv is small taking about 15 mins to get down but there was so many stops on 86.
If I was a bus Driver, I’d be putting on the Classical music station when I have students on my bus in the mornings usually because I find it relaxing for the students and it can get them to focus better too. Also, a lot of buses play local pop stations and I kinda think it’s making the kids cause trouble with some of the words in pop music and also some people complain about commercials on pop stations and a lot of Classical stations are owned by NPR and never play commercial like “99.5 WCRB”. Some days I’ll even have my students listen to opera/ Classical Vocal Music with “Met Opera on Sirius XM”. If students start asking me to change the station to today’s hits, I’m shutting the radio off for the week. Some school district in Portland has only certain stations that are approved by the school district and I think that classical stations should be on the list for approved stations because some bus drivers and students like listening to classical music. A bus driver in my hometown’s school district put classical music on a lot and I could hear it from outside and he finds it relaxing for the students. If I was in an area that had a commercial classical station like “Cape Classical 107.5 WFCC” I’d stream Sirius XM’s symphony hall sometimes. Although, during my afternoon middle school and High school runs, I’ll mix it up usually. Sometimes I’ll play Classic Rock, Country, Or soft rock hits but, I’ll put today’s pop on once in a while.
