Big Trees Trail (Marin County)

This is a beautiful hike in northern Marin County that can be done in under 2 hours. Taking you through grasslands, redwood groves and oak woodlands, the scenery is nothing short of stunning. It also offers some peek-a-boo views of Stafford Lake to the north. Highly recommend this hike if you are in the Novato area!

Time: 1 hour 45 minutes going at a relaxed pace
Crowdedness: Not very at all. Lots of cars at 8:00 am so I do recommend getting there early in the summer months.
Best Seasons to Hike: Year-Round. The wildflowers in the spring, mostly shaded trail during summer heat, beautiful colors during the fall, and newts and running water during the winter!
