I just discovered Shara yesterday and I've been listening to everything I can find - I talked about it on FaceBook and a friend told me this was here. So lovely. As someone else said, brilliant in English, brilliant in French. The thing is, you can really hear her training in this piece. Just love trained singers who aren't straightjacketed by it. Once you learn what you need to know to control and enhance your voice, you've got to let it all go at a conscious level so that you can be in the moment in a performance. She is a wonderful example of that. Her own writing is fantastic because of it as well. I just love it all. I am the kind of singer who loves other singers with a passion and this one really earns it. So happy that I finally came across her.
Lovely interpretation but I would recommend getting that drummer to lighten up the step a bit. This is a bittersweet song and that "boom" effect kind of disrupts it, in my opinion.

Beautiful, moving song. The bass, drums, and violin complimented the singers voice perfectly! I wish I could find this on iTunes.
