There’s versions of their live performances with English subtitles and their music videos have subtitles available, too, so don’t forget to turn on the captions. JIMIN is one of the Main Dancers and lead Vocalist..he is the only one trained in 6 months and debuted right away..the other members were trained for 2 years or so ..That’s how excellent Jimin is..he is considered as the most versatile performer as he can sing in different styles..his voice is unique and is Unisex..his dance is one that can’t be copied..he entered Busan Arts school as top of the class..he is in Modern dance Dept and learned contemporary dance..he knows how to dance hip hop easily..he graduated VALEDICTORIAN and is good in Math and Science..Jimin has lots of achievements even during his school days being Class President for 9 years and now considered as the King of Dance ..he is the greatest PERFORMERS of his generation

The dance practice you saw was in preparation for that concert. It's definitely worth getting a ticket and watching the concert at the theatre on the big screen. Quick background of the members before they joined BigHit Agency Suga (rapper all in black). Came from underground rap. RM (leader (aka moderator) for the group). Came from underground rap. J-Hope came from street dancing. Learned to rap from Suga and RM Jimin was contemporary dance trained V - didn't intend to audition. Did. He got in. Jin - student of acting. Recruited off the streets for his looks. Never sang or danced before joining agency. Jungkook - had offers from 7 agencies (at something like 16). Decided on BigHit because of RM. All round talent. All of them have solos within BTS. The rappers had solo projects early on. They are all now doing solo projects before they enter mandatory S Korean Military.

You should definitely react to the live version of this! They have only performed this one time and it was EPIC. There are two official versions of the concert footage on their channel. I suggest you watch the longer one because it has two songs ('Mic Drop' and 'Run BTS') and a better camera angle. It also has better sound because it includes just enough crowd noise to let you feel the energy of being at a BTS concert. The only downside is there are no subtitles. The crowd is shouting the real names (not their stage names) of the members starting with the group's leader Kim Namjoon, and then going from oldest to youngest. Kim Namjoon is the rapper with the deepest voice. The one you thought was the leader is the main vocalist and the youngest, Jeon Jung-kook. You can call him JK. Then you can hear the crowd doing the song chant for Mic Drop, where they shout out specific parts of the lyrics along with the group, another major aspect of Korean concerts.
Their dance practices are normally just BTS but they will occasionally include the extra dancers where they are practicing for a big show/tour, as they did here. to clear it up for ya... there are 7 members of BTS and they are all pro dancers... they have main rappers but they can all rap and they have main vocalists but they can all sing... the big group of dancers in the back are only back up dancers and do not appear in all appearances... they have a huge catalog of music dating back to 2013. Enormous amount of content.. they have a channel BangtanTV and they are with Hybe Labels who also has a youtube channel. They do "dance practice" videos like this one and there are a ton of them out there on youtube.. but BangtanTV is the place to view lots of their content.

Watch the opening song from that show('Mic Drop'), which then leads right into 'Run BTS' = super high energy! It would take too long to see everything from the beginning, so - Try their debut 'No More Dream' from 2013 to see how they started as an edgy hip hop group... their choreo is even better now!! Quick background of the members before they joined BigHit Agency
Suga (rapper all in black). Came from underground rap.
RM (leader (aka moderator) for the group). Came from underground rap.
J-Hope came from street dancing. Learned to rap from Suga and RM
Jimin was contemporary dance trained
V - didn't intend to audition. Did. He got in.
Jin - student of acting. Recruited off the streets for his looks. Never sang or danced before joining agency.
Jungkook - had offers from 7 agencies (at something like 16). Decided on BigHit because of RM. All round talent.
All of them have solos within BTS. The rappers had solo projects early on.
They are all now doing solo projects before they enter mandatory S Korean Military.

BTS is a 7 member group of from South Korea, they do many genres of music, but their start was as a hip-hop idol group. They will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary in 2025, but are currently taking a break from group music because all the members are going to be completing their mandatory military service. You should definitely react to the live version of this! They have only performed this one time and it was EPIC. There are two official versions of the concert footage on their channel. I suggest you watch the longer one because it has two songs ('Mic Drop' and 'Run BTS') and a better camera angle. It also has better sound because it includes just enough crowd noise to let you feel the energy of being at a BTS concert. The only downside is there are no subtitles. (edit) The chanting you hear at the very start is called a name chant which is a big part of K-pop fandom. The crowd is shouting the real names (not their stage names) of the members starting with the group's leader Kim Namjoon, and then going from oldest to youngest. Kim Namjoon is the rapper with the deepest voice. The one you thought was the leader is the main vocalist and the youngest, Jeon Jung-kook. You can call him JK. Then you can hear the crowd doing the song chant for Mic Drop, where they shout out specific parts of the lyrics along with the group, another major aspect of Korean concerts.
Their dance practices are normally just BTS but they will occasionally include the extra dancers where they are practicing for a big show/tour, as they did here. Dance practices are a good way to get to know BTS, the only downfall is that you don't get to see their meaningful lyrics. You could always go through their videos and tag the dance practice on the end? You can't always see the complex choreo in the m/v.
Just bear in mind you are watching content over 10 years so looks and styles have changed over the years, as they have for us all!

to clear it up for ya... there are 7 members of BTS and they are all pro dancers... they have main rappers but they can all rap and they have main vocalists but they can all sing... the big group of dancers in the back are only back up dancers and do not appear in all appearances... they have a huge catalog of music dating back to 2013. Enormous amount of content.. they have a channel BangtanTV and they are with Hybe Labels who also has a youtube channel. They do "dance practice" videos like this one and there are a ton of them out there on youtube.. but BangtanTV is the place to view lots of their content.
