i see some misinformation in the comment's. yes they had problems with the animation due to the pandemic lockdown. the problem didn't come with the money cuz... money has nothing to do with a pandemic lockdown. it's the fact they didn't had enough time to do the animations for obvious reasons. also, every anime does outsourcing, basically foreigner studious make the animation and the main studio makes it all clean etc... but this final part wasn't made due to the pandemic. that's why characters look skinny in a lot of scenes and everything is a bit "weird", because the main studio couldn't do the job they do all the time. money was never a problem cuz it's actually never a problem when we talk about anime, that's because every anime episode usually has the same budget. time and animator's quality makes things better and season 4 of haikyuu didn't had the time to do things well. the well animated episodes it's not because they spent a lot of money on them, it's because they foucesed on those episodes
Yeah, the misinformation was that season 4 was made during the pandemic lockdown. It was ONLY part 2 that was made during the lockdown. Part 1 already finished airing by April 4, 2020, before the lockdown. And the inferior episodes (15 and 19) were outsourced.
Remember, Washijo was a ball boy because at his time it was impossible for someone so short to play so he knows how valuable the information you get from being a ball boy, it ties back to what Kageyama said in the second episode, if you don't watch a game from behind you don't get how important every position is and how much is happening at once, in Nekoma's OVA Yamamoto's sister tells Lev's sister you can watch any player or follow the ball and still enjoy the game because everything is important. I know that what Washijo said may sound harsh but I doubt they have a lot of extra food, and even if they did they were meant for the invited players (we don't know if they had to pay for expenses or not) as for sleeping, again it may be different in Japan, especially in rural areas, but where I'm from there is a whole process to let underage students sleep elsewhere (you now know how far it is) and whith adults that aren't even from your own school at that. Another important aspect of this episode is how more players in Karasuno are trying a jump serve, don't know if you cought that, but it's important, and of course it will take them time to learn, like Asahi in season 2
ugh i feel bad for the animators, im sure they dont like to send their part for the episode like that. Thanks to pandemic, schedules and other factors 😵💫 tbh i didn't mind much in this arc, only in the later ones...and when people start pointing out. But still, this is the most important arc for Hinata. As someone who lived in the province (not in the mountains like Hinata), I feel so much for Hinata with how long he has to travel from school to home and vice versa. My parents tell me not to stay too long in practice so I won't arrive home late (but still stubbornly came home late anyway). Struggle is real. But biking to-and-fro the mountains? 😮💨
I love your reaction guys lol. I like the honesty. If it's bad it's bad. We as consument don't really care abt what happend in the kitchen. If the food is bad when served to us, it's bad
So yeah, this season was made during the 2020 pandemic lockdowns, so the off-model illustrations and lower budget on some of the more routine animations that you're seeing kinda come as a result of that. Rest assured, they save the budget to put where it counts, but it's definitely a bit inconsistent compared to the pretty much flawless art/animation of Season 1-3.
Honestly I was so invetsed in the story the first time that I didn't notice it until someone pointted it out to me, now I can't unsee it, which I think happened here, because they didn't comment about it in the other episodes or ova, at least that I'm aware, and as soon as someone said it they couldn't watch a frame without pointing it out, I get it, it takes you out, I'm just pointing that it's more of a issue if you concentrate on it
it’s not about budget, they were under time constraints and were only able to heavily focus good anime on the really important parts they didn’t have time polish it ALL up
That's completely FALSE. Season 4 part 1 was NOT made during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. Season 4 part 1 started airing on Jan 11, 2020 and completed airing on April 4, 2020. The lockdown in Japan didn't come until later. The illustration was completely due to making it look more close to the manga. It's season 4 part TWO that was made during the pandemic, and TWO episodes were outsourced, eps 15 and 19. You can see that some animations in those episodes, especially 15, were inferior.
I might be the only one who actually likes the new style - it’s closer to the manga. There are definitely some lower budget frames though granted, but there will also be some scenes where the fluidity with the new style hits just right (eg. the final episodes of this season)
"tsukishima likes to leave food when the senpais aren't watching." idk for sure, but this sounds like tsukishima was leaving food for hinata to eat since he's not allowed to eat at the training camp

Damn u wrote a whole story about dis

Sorry guys
The haikyuu was not favored so much during the pandemic so they cut budget on a lot of frames
Except season 4 part 1, which is what they're watching right now, completed airing on April 4, 2020, BEFORE the pandemic lockdown.
After waiting 3+ years for Season 4, this was the episode that made me fell in love with Haikyuu even more!!
4:22 Brother No!😭
felt likes years went by since the last reaction 😭 jk i love ball boy arc it’s my favorite ngl
5:21 A good one is called baby steps
+1 to Baby Steps. Very enjoyable with a likeable MC. Not quite like Hinata, but he has his own charm.

The way they talking about the animation, imagine them seeing 7DS 😭😭

no i think it just means he doesn’t eat a lot unlike hinata
@@highkuzon agree. basically "he leaves food on his plate" when the senpais arent watching (cause they're gonna scold him for not eating well 🥲).
