I was thinking the exact same thing as he was discussing it. I didn't actually see the kids ask for a burnout, but the way we used to do it required no words. You simply point each of your index fingers inward, and twirl them in a circle, with each finger being 180° apart in the circle. That was internationally recognized as the "light 'em up" symbol. We would have been GREATLY disappointed if the person driving the muscle car didn't perform the requested burn out. We weren't exactly spoiled as kids, so an occasional burn out request granted, helped to compensate.
the car scene literally keeps me out of trouble, i was always i trouble, last summer when i was 15 i bought a foxbody, now in this time i am 16 and since almost a year ago now it has a 351 from a bronco that is mildly built making 417/500 on the bottle and i literally put all my money into the car to keep me from other things
Im a big fan of muscle cars and this particular show, BIG MUCSLE, is always showcasing the best cars, cars i want to see. I watch every video right the way through. Thank you Mike!

One of my top 5 favorite muscle car models (although I prefer the '67 more: I like the taillights better). Beautifully done. I love the blend of modern power with stock looks. I'm not personally a fan of the "lowered" look, and I still like the look of classic Cragars, but well done indeed. Maybe someday, if I save my pennies...

this show has evolved into being as good and as original as... top gear (that's the uk version i'm talking about!) it is just.. different than all others it has something in it that you can't put your finger on but you need to get at least once a week! great job Mike keep enjoying those cars and keep that energy flowing to the viewers!
ai van doesnt matter when you're making $7.25 an hour + tips and gas is a less than a dollar a gallon. Besides, show me a car guy who is overly concerned about "economically sound"... especially at 17. :)

get a 65 66 corvair at your age you need a car that can save your ass ..corvairs have great brakes good engines ect ect i know an i grew up in a 56 chev i still have also we had chevelles a 67 an a 71 ..nice cars but the vairs were the best i have 6 vairs love them very easy to fix too ,,but spend the money get one that has a good body ....parts are cheap to fix the rest
This is exactly the kind of ride I plan on turning my '63 Galaxie in to. I may only be 19 now, but that gives me a little jump as the work happens. Few years down the road, maybe she'll even be Drive worthy
Tom Nelson had a terribly slow car in his early days... Now he builds beasts that put to shame supercars like Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg or Venom GT. Much respect for this man!
