    Certainly one of the best things Béla Fleck ever wrote. There is an epic, Hollywood Western quality to it that always gets to me in every version he does and there are many.

      This song is one of those rare gems that is transcendent .I've never heard a version (and Belas done many ) where the word " Majestic" didn't come to mind .
      Of course there's " Whitewater " ...

    The way Bela walks up to his bandmates and says, through his playing, "Hey, this is you. Not me. Do it.", and they get nervous as hell, and then "Do." That's why this is an incredible song in *any performance*.

  • @drewper73
    @drewper73 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I love these dudes!! I saw them twice in the mid 90's at small outdoor things. The last two shows however have been incredible! A few years ago at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and last November in Birmingham, where they came out after the show, sat on the edge of the stage and shot the shit with their fans. I started with Futureman and worked my way to Bela, Victor, and Howard. I would've loved to have heard this song but it's more of a Jeff Coffin era song and of course, he's not in the band anymore. Anyway, the past two have been two of the best shows this ol' boy has ever witnessed! They did bring out Jeff and Casey at the Ryman show for the encore, Sinister Minister. Victor will be coming thru my neck of the woods in April and I'll be there, or I plan on it at least.

    bluegrass and country isnt my go-to genre, the closest I get to it is folk music but I dont know who can say no to this - a 100% spectacular experience
    I've been coming back to this track for years now - but I remember there being a recording with an extended duel between Wooten and Coffin, I can't seem to find it now, it seems to have been taken down I think it had a black and white intro/interview
