Love Haley and her acting! Being a mostly Brit-American and just two years younger than Haley, I've been following her life and career for a very long time! I also love her father, the late great Sir John Mills and his great acting in many fine British films! Do watch him with the late great Sir Alec Guiness in 'Great Expectations", a brilliant black and white film, a true classic! Recently watched her older sister, Juliet Mills with the late great Jack Lemmon in "Avanti" filmed in beautiful Italy which is another very entertaining great movie! Cheers~

I *loved* Hayley Mills over the decades. Leaving that aside, I'm wrestling with the suggestion that having (or being worth) close to two million dollars in 1967 (at age 21), would qualify for the term "devastated" for... well, anyone. That's about the same as fifteen million dollars in today's (2022) money. Does losing 90% of 1967-vintage $17 million suck? Hell, yes. But... If I was sitting on fifteen million dollars today, I'd have a diffictult time referring to my position as... "devastated", y'know? Would losing a lot more than that feel like being "ripped off", or "significantly impacted"? Sure. But "Devastated"? I just can't get there.
