John Travolta dated the mom,Diana Hyland..."He was 23 at the time, and she was 41. Diana was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1975 and underwent a double mastectomy. The cancer continued to spread, and she died in John's arms on March 27, 1977. “I have never been more in love with anyone in my life,” he told People in June 1977"

Seems like John Travolta has the penis that gives breast cancer, given that Kelly Preston died after only two years after being diagnosed as well.

I’m sure all of John’s teenybopper fans were crushed by that. It shows that John had an emotional, mental maturity that was able to connect with someone that was so much older. I’ve seen pics of them together. They looked VERY happy. I think had she lived, he’d still be with her today.

Thanks a lot. Films were definitely kinder, more philosophical and more life-affirming then, than they are now. It is not for nothing that they say that the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s were one of the best periods in art.

Actually the late 80s and the 90s started with sarcasm it was the beginning of the end of humanity and morals and ethics based films more of degrading films and series and TV shows nothing but sarcasm and cold affection towards each other in a family setting family member in most Family series that were created in the late eighties and nineties. Sad to say

For adults living during this period, it was the opposite of simpler, with an all-out nuclear arms race, Cold War hysteria, and a high-profile political assassination seemingly every other year. Nowadays, a political assassination in America would be unimaginable. But that was a part of your reality back then. How is that simpler?

I was reading an wikipedia article about the original Boy in the Plastic Bubble (David Vetter) died very young at age 12. Everything that was brought into his bubble had to be sterile. Most likely the "homework" Gina brought over most likely done through the glove portion of the bubble. Regarding the money entering his bubble the classmate gave him if you see he put in the area where the suit was but, Tod was probably unable to touch it until it was sterilized. I read sterilizing things was for him was no easy feat.

I was entranced throughout. Will never forget the feeling of freedom they experience at the end riding off on the horse. I think that feeling sank so deeply into me that i have been in pursuit of it for myself, my whole life. This movie gave that to me. ❤ innocent movies like this are so mportant to our experience as human beings. I believe we can find our way back to innocence, if we reallywant to..

A real classic movie with mesmerizing acting unlike movies today with all the special effects and no real valuable messages to convey. I believe it's one of Travoltas best roles next to the movie Michael.

John was filming the movie "The Devil's Rain " 1975 with William Shatter while in Mexico and while he was there filming the movie he became friends with one of the ladys on the set she gave him a book Dianetics by L Ron Hubbard in which is the church of Scientology so that's how he became a member in 1975 and has been a member ever since than 🙄

Travolta, even young, was a showman. He got into a PR relationship with TV mom Diana Hyland, 18 years older than him. After Hyland's tragic death, Travolta was on plane and spotted popular columnist Rex Reed nearby. Travolta wept, and Reed reported it. Decades later, he publicly mourned Olivia Newton-John.
