Hi I just wanted to say thank you for posting this video. I have always suffered with low mood and at times, I go completely inverted and capable of doing nothing. When I am motivated, I work hard and will put in 17- 20 hour days no problem, but when hit with a depressive period I revert to doing nothing - literally. The last year has been extremely hard. I am constantly beating myself up for being lazy and telling myself to get up and do something. However, I get overwhelmed by even simple things like house work. Being a clean and tidy person and finding yourself living in a messy house is just soul destroying. I have been looking into many alternative therapies and applying them where possible. Over the last two weeks, my mood has lifted ever so slightly and I feel a little better physically. Despite not wanting to skip down the street singing, I have managed to clean my house and do jobs that I just couldn't face before. it doesn't sound much but this is a huge deal for me at the minute! I have listened to this session several times and each time I can feel more. I finished the last session feeling very relaxed and pain free which is not something I experience very often. I have a bad back (plus other problem areas) which gets worse if I sit about a lot. I have been sitting around or sleeping for around 4 months due to general lack of interest in life. I have even stopped leaving the house. I have had no interest in seeing or speaking to anyone and find that when I really need to leave the house I am starting to panic. I am wasting my life stuck in a house that is depressing me without company or stimulation.Thank goodness I work from home otherwise I wouldn't have an income since going out to work just wouldn't be possible. This is probably the worst I have ever been and I need to stop this before it gets completely out of hand. I have already put on a couple of stone in weight from doing so little. Having experienced this session a few times and being able to access other therapies for free without leaving the house has given me hope and started me down the road to recovery - I think (hope). Anyway, I don't mean to give you my life story, just simply outline the difficulties I am facing and say thank you for your videos. I really am finding them beneficial as part of a combination of treatments. I really hope each day will get a little better from now on . . .
I know what you are going through cause I think about it every day of my life but I know there is something good on the other side of this struggle. The important thing I try to remember is to always ask for help when things get to tough. I know we can get though it, we should never give up.
I may not put in 17-20 hr days but we are stuck in a cycle. Our moderator is stuck. We push ourselves until we burn out, then feel guilty that we canf keep up that pace all the time, then get depressed and shut down. Now speaking for myself, dhen I'm on a schedule, save distractions for breaks I can not be so "manic" in my work cycles but instead keep an even pace for much longer periods of time. We just need to find what works for us so we can keep on a more even and balanced schedule.
Hi Lea Perrins, I know you wrote this 8 years ago but reading it, you describe a time I am presently going through. Some days it's almost frightening because I am literally paralyzed. I found these hypnosis sessions a few months ago. They really have made a tremendous difference so I listen to several different topics a day. It's the best therapy I have ever found. I do hope you are doing well and that all turned out right for you!!
I love this! One thing I've noticed is that I do the same things day in and day out...cook, clean, laundry & dishes. I dont fo enough of the things that I want to do and enjoy, like craft projects for example. Anyways, as I was listening to this all these craft projects were popping into my head and DIY projects that need to be finished around the house. I think to help with procrastination we need to balance things with art or projects that make our hearts sing and break up the doldrums. Just my thoughts anyways due to the thoughts that were manifested during this meditation. I may not have a spotless house today but I will have some projects finished up and a couple craft project put to good use and for that I am thankful!
I really enjoy your videos. They’re not fancy and full of fluff. The whole feeling of me being right in the room with you really has transformed how I respond to hypnosis. So far I’ve had the most success with your videos than the hundreds of others I’ve tried. I also enjoy the length since I can do them in the morning if I need to before the day. You always see people write in the title BEST procrastination meditation or BEST anything... So I'm always cautious of seeing that word but let me tell you, I have listened to this for a week straight and this has really helped my motivation and my procrastination, the next day I wake up and I get things done!! It's so great, because I have a REALLY bad problem with procrastination and I thought there was no hope. I am so pleased and so incredibly happy with this meditation. Whenever I need a little help again with it, I listen to this and it gets me going again. Thank you so very much for uploading this onto TH-cam, it has changed my life!!!

We may be motivated, but not ABLE. Many things can motivate us to do something; it actually doesn't even take much. But only one single thing can demolish any ability. An ability is like an eardrum. I mentally replaced "motivation" with "ability" in your excellent vid and it became quite healing. I am able to start things and finish things again at last because I can now heal my old abilities with this video. Thank you.

Looking forward to trying this! I have so much potential in my life and so many things I'd like to do - start a side business, write a book, re-organize my apartment, but I just never get the oomph to do it. Sometimes it's because I over-plan my day because everything seems important and then I'm disappointed when I get only a third of it done. But it's also a long-term issue, that I'll be in a really good mood and put together a to-do list for the coming weeks (unscheduled) but I never seem to get around to them.

Maybe I have the wrong idea of what hypnosis is supposed to feel like. But at no point did I feel in any sort of trance, I felt as though I was lucid 100% of the time and could have woken myself up at any time.

I was listening and got into relaxation, and dozed off. My conscious mind said “I think I’ll wake up later” 😉 but my subconscious mind said “the video’s just finished, let’s wake up now!” The adverts at the end of the video agreed LOL.
Mr /Dr Mason does a wonderful job in a short session. I found this very helpful. Very soothing voice and I love his accent. Very unobtrusive background music keeps me focused

Very excited to do this session & was blown away at just how easy it is for me to go under hypnosis. I was so relaxed that I felt the bed & I were one. I felt stopped by his words "there is nothing more for you to do" and I'm thinking I'm a nervous wreck because I have lots of things that need to be done and I have anxiety as a result o all the procrastination that is stopping me from doing them. Not getting them done is a big worry.

Hi. Everyboddy is diffrenrt so I cannot give you a definate answers. My advice would be to listen to then at least once a week until you get the desired results and then as and when you feel you need to.
I have 2 questions: -I have high-function autism, will this also work for me? I'm asking because I've been told that my condition means that my brain's wired differently then most people. -Would listening to this on loop or as part of a playlist with other videos with the same intent (as in fighting procrastination and finding motivation) help provide better result?
I'm also autistic and have ADHD. I listened to this hypnosis for the first time, so I don't know yet if it works for my procrastination. But I've listened to other Gary's hypnosis sessions, and they've helped for different things! His hypnosis session helped me pass a driving test. I also find the sessions helpful for my anxiety and depression. So, based on my experience, hypnosis does work for neurodivergent people!
Hi, i was wondering in what state of mind am i supposed to find myself. The thing is that im a very distracted person and sometimes i drift off. I keep trying to find myself in meditative state where i comprehend but dont focus. But somehow i drift off and have to concentrate pretty hard to either get back or to even start a session. Do you have any sugestions?
It can be normal for your mind to drift whilst listening to this session. If this does happen its fine because your unconscious mind is still listening to what is being said. If you mind drifts and you want to focus on my suggestions just bring your attention back to my voice.
How can a person clear they mind when they have so much to concentrate on. I need to past my driver's test but I can't focus. While I'm reading I be thinking about wat I'm gonna cook wat doctor appointments I didn't miss I'm trying so hard cause I feel of being a big procrastinator
Will this session work if i listen to it in bed every night because I'm struggling to relax. I had my eyes closed and everything but I had things racing through my mind one after the other and I tried and tried to return my focus to your voice but it didn't work and my body refused to relax fully. It felt strange it was like I was half asleep but my body was wide awake jumping out of irritation or something. (Like restless syndrome) and I have tried it a few times to no avail. I would say the only time I can fully relax is at night in bed. Any advice would be much appreciated.
If you are finding it difficult to relax then listening to it whilst in bed at night is fine. If you do fall asleep your unconscious mind will still be taking in the positive suggestions. It can be very normal for your mind to start thinking about things whilst you are listening to the session.
how many times should I listen to this hypnosis session to actually see results ? and is it still the same if I always listen to it during sleep ? Thanks for your work

I'm not sure what happened, but when I did this, i would drift off as if I was sleeping, but I wasn't I would then return back to what you were saying unable to recall what you said or even what I visualized or what I was thinking when I drifted off. Is this normal or was I falling asleep somehow?
What you described is completely normal. It can be very normal for people to drift off whilst listening to the session. Sometimes hypnosis can be likened to be asleep but awake at the same time. You can sometimes experience this first thing in the morning just before you wake up fully and sometimes last thing at night just before you fall asleep. A dreamy sort of state.

How can a person clear they mind when they have so much to concentrate on. I need to past my driver's test but I can't focus. While I'm reading I be thinking about wat I'm gonna cook wat doctor appointments I didn't miss I'm trying so hard cause I feel of being a big procrastinator
Will this session work if i listen to it in bed every night because I'm struggling to relax. I had my eyes closed and everything but I had things racing through my mind one after the other and I tried and tried to return my focus to your voice but it didn't work and my body refused to relax fully. It felt strange it was like I was half asleep but my body was wide awake jumping out of irritation or something. (Like restless syndrome) and I have tried it a few times to no avail. I would say the only time I can fully relax is at night in bed. Any advice would be much appreciated.
If you are finding it difficult to relax then listening to it whilst in bed at night is fine. If you do fall asleep your unconscious mind will still be taking in the positive suggestions. It can be very normal for your mind to start thinking about things whilst you are listening to the session.

how many times should I listen to this hypnosis session to actually see results ? and is it still the same if I always listen to it during sleep ?

You can listen to the session as you sleep. Just continue listening to it at least once a week until you get the desired results.

I'm not sure what happened, but when I did this, i would drift off as if I was sleeping, but I wasn't I would then return back to what you were saying unable to recall what you said or even what I visualized or what I was thinking when I drifted off. Is this normal or was I falling asleep somehow?
What you described is completely normal. It can be very normal for people to drift off whilst listening to the session. Sometimes hypnosis can be likened to be asleep but awake at the same time. You can sometimes experience this first thing in the morning just before you wake up fully and sometimes last thing at night just before you fall asleep. A dreamy sort of state.

I love this hypnosis session and listen to it regularly but it is now totally ruined because it has adverts in the middle of it! That just spoils the whole experience and makes this useless now as a relaxing hypnosis.
