This is not the only Jewish cemetery in Isfahan. There are other Jewish cemeteries, but this one, located in Pirbakran, is particularly significant due to its historical importance and its connection to Sarah Bat Asher, a revered figure in the Jewish community. It is also one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in the region, with a history spanning over 2,500 years.

@@MMTours- Khahesh Mikonam, you're very welcome. Beautiful message, we are united through shared history and friendship since the days of Cyrus (Kourosh) the great 🙏🏻❤
As a child, I think I didn't attention well in Jewish studies classes 😉I don't remember much about Sarah bat Asher, I think she is one of the few female grandchildren of the forefathers to be mentioned in the tanach (Bible) though I think it must be a tradition of Iranian Jews that connects her to Iran, but I must do more research on this. Interesting that many of the newer stones have the Jewish star symbol, and the Menora symbol that I pointed out from your previous video of Joorjir Poortal & Hakim Mosque. btw at 2:20 It's hard for me to read the farsi, but since it's a name I can see it's similar to the Hebrew. In Hebrew it says name in the Jewish way "Mansour bat (daughter of) Nehama Yomtoubian" In farsi it skips the the daughter of, and says his name the regular way Mansour Yomtoubian. What does the farsi say on top? Zaraka Shadrawan? (I probably mix up many letters, I'm still learning)
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reflections🙏🏻🌸 Sarah bat Asher is indeed a fascinating figure, and you’re right that she’s one of the rare female descendants of the forefathers mentioned in the Tanach. The connection between her and Iran is rooted in the traditions of Iranian Jews, and it’s wonderful that you’re curious to learn more about it. Regarding the symbols, yes, the Jewish star and Menorah on the newer gravestones reflect the strong preservation of Jewish heritage in Iran, even in modern times. We’re so glad you noticed these details in our previous video about Joorjir Portal and Hakim Mosque, it shows how connected these symbols are across different sites. As for the Farsi inscription, you’re spot on! It does simplify things compared to Hebrew by omitting “bat (daughter of),” but the name remains clear and similar. At the top of the inscription, it says: “زندهیاد شادروان" (Zendeh Yad Shadravan), which is a traditional Persian phrase honoring the deceased. It means "In memory of the late" and is a beautiful way to express respect for those who have passed. Your dedication to learning both about your heritage and the Farsi language is truly admirable. Keep exploring, each discovery adds so much depth to these stories😊
@@MMTours- Merci aziz, you are very knowledgeable with your tours and yours history, and I appreciate your detailed replies. Thank you for teaching me that beautiful farsi phrase. learned something new. Although I started learning Arabic years ago (not very well) my connection to Iranians and Farsi grew out of great respect after the great courage and bravery I saw after Mahsa Amini, and I began... but I don't think probably you don't want me to get into politics here.
Merci aziz, thank you for your kind words and for appreciating our tours and history content, it means a lot to us. We’re so glad you enjoyed learning the Farsi phrase! So that terrorist European Zionist settlers can falsely claim Iran? Just scared of the outcome. That was the tactic used in the Middle East.
