    Did some quick googling to figure out how much elevation he actually climbed(close to 9,500ft starting in that town.) I used to run up mountains and once ran up 3,500 feet of elevation at close to the pace he ran up the Matterhorn, and let me tell you, when I got to the top of that (much smaller) mountain I was DONE. Super impressive for him to maintain that pace for that long on a wicked incline.

    An astounding feat of mountaineering. Who would have thought an ascent - and the even more perilous descent - would be so fast (and safely done or course!). Let's not forget the strain on the body too. The reducing atmospheric oxygen all the way up and down affecting the mind's ability to concentrate and not make mistakes in the haste!

    This is amazing achievement but for me it is too risky and I don't want to get addicted where you may not know when to stop because you always want one more. Last May I was able to make nice circle in one day starting in Interlaken going to Lauterbrunnen to Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald and back to Interlaken. My phone calculated 36 miles or 58 km. I know it was much lower elevation and I had longer daylight end of May. I made many stops, took many photos and didn't really walk that fast as I had other hikers walking with me at times. The vistas were stunning and I had a perfect weather. It was all worth it and I would do it again.

      You don't "walk" up the Matterhorn, you climb it. You move on snow, ice and rock and the normal alpinist needs about 8h from the Matterhorn hut up to the summit and back down again.

      this is a speed record from zermatt up the hörnli ridge and back. kilian jornet started in cervinia, which is the italian side of the matterhorn. so you cant compare this two records, both are pretty impressive!

    i went to the matterhorn last year and just to get to the first cable cart from the town shown on this video is a 15 min walk, and to get to the top base you need to take 2 cable cars.... so this is not true

    • @FRAMESLerjen
      @FRAMESLerjen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      because you re not able to do it, does not mean, its not true. but thanks for sharing your opinion.

    • @Jooolse
      @Jooolse 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You never went to the top of the Matterhorn... you merely took the cable-car to the top of the "little Matterhorn", which is a lower and way easier summit. There is, obviously, not cable-car going to the top of the Matterhorn.
