- The development of the LiAZ 5256 series began in the middle of the 1970s. It is the first Russian standardized bus series. The prototype was introduced in 1982, but the mass production started only in 1989.
The first series called 5256.00 was equipped with a V8 KamAZ 740 engine and a Lvov-3 hydromechanical automatic or KamAZ manual gearbox.

One obzorschik to Liaz squeezed it 110 km. he could not because the engine was overheating.
Small Info: There wasnt any LiAZ-5256 with Rába-M.A.N engines. At all. Mostly, because of the rear-engine layout mixed with 3rd door behind wheel base didnt provide enough space to fit opposite diesel. BUT, in 1990's, when KamAZ engine factory burned to the ground, lack of engines forced manufacturers to find any possible replacement for missing engines, which lead to interesting experiments, like CAT diesels (which became standart for, err, "modern" 5256) and even mighty 234 hp air-cooled V10. But, speaking of Rába-M.A.N's, there was YaAZ-5267, whis is basically Ikarus-260 mid-engined driveline, fitted straight into 5256 citybus body, but these buses had very horrible quality, and no one unit make it to our days.

OMSI 2 causes me a lot of trouble lately, barely reaches 20 FPS, freezes, crashes etc.
How can I fix it?

Hopefully it's just temporary. There's a broken cable right after the pedals' connector.

When I'm trying to install the bus, WinRAR tells me there is a password to enter to unlock the acrhive. I search for the password on the downloadlink you give, but there is nothing. Can you help me please ?
