I wonder if he made this setup himself? He's always used gamelan effects on guitars getting these great microtonal effects, like in the backing track for Fall of Saigon (in which I think he recorded all the the percussion). People only seem to mention Charles Hayward from This Heat, but it was three amazingly creative people working together on equal terms.
