Yes, Amber, it was nice to be a child in the 70s and a teenager in the 80s, no internet, no mobile phone, no X-box and we were out and about in the afternoon without our parents knowing where we were and we still came home healthy and everyone has Listening to the music he liked and then going to the children's disco on Saturdays had a great time.
And yes, as someone here said, Susi comes from Detroit in the USA, but she became a star in England and Europe where she now lives with her German husband in equal parts in England and in Hamburg. And she's still got it even at over 70

She was a small woman, she couldn't beat up the average guy. However fighting a girl is always a lose/lose situation, if you lose, you lost to a woman, if you win you beat up a woman lol. I think Alice meant she's tenacious and doesn't back down so it's a bad situation for the guy.

When Suzie first toured Australia in 1974 she was met at the Airport in Sydney by hundreds of Bikers. They gave her a motor cycle escort from the airport to her hotel in the city. When one reporter asked one of the bikers why they had done this, his answer was simple. He said "All Bikers Love Rock n Roll and Suzi Play's Great Rock n Roll.

I actually met her a few times. She used to shop at the Department Store where I worked, I was a delivery driver for them. She wasn't at all 'the big I am' as we say. Because of her fame she used to enter the store through the loading bay where I would sometimes be where I was loading or unloading my lorry with furniture. Took her hand and pulled her up onto the loading bay a couple of times. Even delivered to her a few times. She lived on the outskirts of the next town where I lived. Lovely lady.

Suzi is the original female solo rockstar. She paved the way for every female rock artist afterwards. And this cannot be over-stated - she had to leave the US and go to England and Europe, where her talent was recognized, and then she became a huge star, and *then* people in the US started paying attention to her. This seems to have happened to so many US artists over the course of rock music history - not recognized in the US, when everywhere else on the planet recognizes these artists as fabulous, and game changers. Jimi Hendrix is the perfect example. The British had to invade in the 60s to teach the US about their own music.

Born in Detroit. Suzi made it to the top of the UK European Japanese and Australian charts. She was not taken seriously enough in the US because she was a woman fronting a rock band. Suzi was on tour in the states in 74. She went to radio stations in the US trying to get her music played. Some radio stations guys said if you keep us in cocaine we will play your records. True story it's all in her documentary Suzi Q.

Joan Jett was her inspiration. Nuff said. Major rock star overseas. Have, you one " Stumblin' In" with Chis Norman. Cutest, snappiest video EVER.

I have long been a fan of Suzi, and thanks to your channel have just listened to Suzi Quatro - Back To The Drive, Now you guys really do have to listen to, and react to it, it is a ROCK classic. But don't forget her softer side, "If You Can't GIve Me Love" and "She's In Love With You". God bless you both.

Suzi & Len lived quite local to us in UK. My brother in law was the biggest fan and went to several parties at her home. She is great ❤

This recording was made at the most trendy, off-beat fashion store in London during the 60s and 70s. BIBA was known for its crazy, extravagant interior designs, its hip clothing, and its roof restaurant, where this video was made. What crazy memories.

Don't miss her if she comes near you. She's still touring the world so you have a chance to be there in person. When you're old you can say ''I was there!'' when you play this music for your grandchildren. 😀

Suzi Quatro never got the fame she deserved. She could really rock. If you have not heard Stumblin In please take a listen. Girl could go hard and soft but always had total control.

She is often considered Power Pop but she is actually very much Glam Rock similar to Sweet and Marc Bolan. They were all big influences on Queen BTW. And you can even hear it here.

And she is still going !!!! saw her in concert not so long ago. Suzi is gonna rock til she drops I guess. Funny story - a few years back I had my car serviced and had left a Best of Suzi cd in the player. When I picked the car up I got applause from the bunch of mechanics. They said the place was rockin to Suzi all day ... it was a " I'm glad to be at work today" day lol. The power of Suzi.

Awesome reaction, Suzie was the original queen of rock. Not sure if you know but Elvis wanted to meet her and actually called her when she was performing in Memphis. There is an interview on YT called Suzie Quatro turns down Elvis where she talks about it. There are no doubt many others as well. If you liked this song you would enjoy "Your mama wont like me" cheers and thanks again.
