    Please emphasize the importance of jack stands. Some novice is going to watch this and get themselves crushed.

    Thank you for the great film. Do you use any oil additives, like for cleaning engines? And how often, if you use them.

      CarsNToys Exactly the same, except the last guy who did an oil change on my car tightened the filter wayyyyy too much and I had to c-clamp it and wiggle it loose. A+ my friend, good stuff.

    Great video thanks a lot ! But do you always need to change the oil filter every time you do a oil change ?

      marie-philippe lapointe Absolutely.

    • @I_Am_Michael
      @I_Am_Michael 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      just think. If you do not change the file then you are introducing some old dirty sludgey oil to your fresh oil change. Do you really want to do that.

    what type oils and number , for example: 5w-30, 10-30. should i use for a 04 sentra seR specV?

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      RiceCake Xyooj Really depends on the climate but average for a lot of vehicles is 5w-30. Check out the owner's manual. They'll show different viscosity's with corresponding temperature ranges.

    It's the first oil change on my 2011 Sentra, should I use synthetic or regular oil?

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      FREDDY CARRILLO Synthetic tends to last longer than regular so if you rather go longer intervals between oil changes synthetic is the choice. I use regular.

    • @thevinceberry
      @thevinceberry 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Synthetic makes your engine internal cleaner in the long run if you care about stuff like that. Regular oil has a little more slug build up, but if you change regular oil every 4000-ish miles or whatever it requires, you will be fine.

    Hi bro I have brand new struts and shocks in my maxima but old springs and the ride quality is not great in your experience should I change all the springs to get the OEM ride quality

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Omer. Worn out springs could be the issue. How are your tires? Have you checked the tire pressure?

    • @frankie11209
      @frankie11209 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tires are good and the tire pressure as well the recommended pressures is 29 and that's the pressure I have in them

    If your using Mobile 1 synthetic oil can you go 6,000 miles on oil changes.

    • @greatwhiteevox1008
      @greatwhiteevox1008 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the extended performance will take you too 15,000, but I have changed it on a sentra about every 7,500 and it's looked like it was in pretty good shape still.

    • @johngotone4334
      @johngotone4334 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      they claim synthetic oil 5000 miles but since i change my oil at 1500-2000 instead of 3000 with conventional i wouldnt go past say 3500 even with synthetic, It still gets dirty can leak or car can burn it so yea im good at say 3000 synthetic which is still about double for me with conventional oil

    How can I avoid cross threading the drain plug?

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The drain bolt screws easily back into the oil pan. You shouldn't have to force it and don't over-tighten.

    • @johngotone4334
      @johngotone4334 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      make sure threads are clean on pan and drain plug and i start first by hand, then snug with a socket

    I jack my cars up like this all the time. Its actually not very safe. I am going to buy ramps. I also have a jeep and Ford Ranger. Both with 3" body lifts and 33" tires. No need to jack them up lol! FRAM, "the orange can of death". Lol!

    lol gtfoh I yanked on mine for over three hours and it didn't come off this guy taps it lightly and it comes off, unless mines rusted shut and super glued then this video is a lie. I never had this much trouble getting my oil plug to come off EVER

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not a lie. Chances are someone installed the drain plug with an air gun or impact wrench. If you have trouble next time, use a longer wrench. It'll help.

    • @stevenmiklewicz5042
      @stevenmiklewicz5042 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used an adjustable wrench , socket wrench, I tried heating the plug with a blow torch, I tried VIVE grips, I was pulling so hard the entire car was moving, I was twisting so hard the plug stripped and I continued trying using a hammer screwdriver prayer rug holy water and Atom bomb, I stripped the piece so badly that it went down two sizes when the mechanic finally got it off I dunno who did it or why, but that was the most rediculas adventure I ever had to deal with, I would of bet money that someone was messing with me....

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2
