A scuba outfit costs 100K and if you have one, you can breathe underwater for as long as you want. You can stay afk for 19 min (20 min = kick) and still don't drown. Once I had to eat dinner so I let my pc be there in gta online with scuba outfit. When I came back, everything was how it is when I left my pc. But you can't be as far down as you want because once you hit the border of the map you will die. (just saying, and I'm not saying it like your 5 years old. Hope I helped!)
I recommend buying a scuba outfit.
