Does Your Organization Have a Climate Plan?

We have gone from talking about climate change to calling it a climate crisis. The next step apparently is climate breakdown, I have been told. As a part of risk assessment each board should be considering the impact of the climate crisis on current operations and considering what they will be doing when the impact of the climate gets to climate breakdown. This is called a climate plan, or a climate risk mitigation plan, if you like more words.
Organizations are evaluating the climate risks they are facing and considering whether they need infrastructure changes to address the climate crisis. A board should always be looking at the risks facing the organization and seeing what they can do to mitigate the risk, transfer the risk to someone else or reduce the risk in some other way.
Do you need to change some activities which can be negatively impacted by extreme weather? The climate emergency is a significant risk which should be addressed by the board.
